2. WHAT THE HELL....

Two men in black not the men in black you know rather this were robbers. The world changed but not much changed; the is still robbery and evil people.

When they saw Rez, one quickly activated his power, the man's hand lit up on fire. 'Pretty cool right' the robber who was an Esper said. Rez then realized that he was an Esper! 'Dang!' Rez exclaimed unconsciously. The thing was that even though mankind received power not all did. They were the special ones and Rez was one of them. His friend Darmian had StarPower this was name of their power linking it to the star that fell but he didn't.

His Mom told him not to worry and that it will activate but here we are he was being robbed and he had no way of defending himself. Talk about life being unfair. He wanted to curse his genetics so much that he couldn't form the words to do that.

"Give me what all you got so you don't end up as barbecue". The 'Esper robber' said. Rez was so filled with fear that that his legs went numb. He was regretting the fact that he hadn't done a lot of things. Rez was filled with so much regret and fear that he could die from it.

'Hey , you wanna die boy' The other robber said. This statement brought Rez mind back to reality. ' We know you don't have any power

, we ain't stupid to rob anyone.' The other robber who said this was short and plump, his face was covered but with his voice Rez could tell he was as ugly as hell. Rez wanted to just pick him up and give him some good spanking for screwing with him.

'Sigh, all right. I don't have physical cash just e- cash you still want it'.

' You messing with us boy? You think we are stupid. Electronic means traceable. Tank! just kill him.'

' With pleasure' Tank rose his hand to prepare his power.

Rez wanted to outsmart them but he failed.

'Wait, wait, wait... I'll give you the money! I'll ok!' Rez said with a trembling voice.

" Damn..that was close " Rez thought as he turned around to go get the money he has stocked away in a place no one will think of, yeah , not even him.

Rez gave them all he had, or at least they thought that was all he had. "Ok , there you go". A super smile appeared on the face of the robbers as they turned around to leave but then, they came to a sudden halt. This scared Rez and yeah he had every right to be scared. They turned around to show a face of wickedness with a purely evil smile.

' Alright it's time to die ' the robber with the power said as he raised his hand towards Rez to kill him. Rez didn't understand he gave them what they wanted why did they want to kill him. Fear grabbed the heart of Rez but He didn't want to die , he wanted to survive.

Suddenly , Rez could feel this link , like a thin rope being connected to the man with the powers but he couldn't see the man. He just saw a humanoid figure with a shining light within it's belly. The light was small and he could feel he could put the light or make it dim or brighter.

At first Rez thought he was crazy and that fear for his life is making him see things so he closed his eyes and opened it but it didn't go. The men wanted to scare him to death by destroying a lot of things around. They started to destroy things in his room.

Thank God that many things built after the disaster was built to be fire resistant but it was to a certain degree.

' Hahaha....whooo . We would have made you live but you tried to fool us so...here is your pay ' just when the man was about to set Rez apart , Rez with his mind off the light in the man's belly.

The fire then went out, everything came to a sudden halt. Rez was confused and amazed , the man with the power was confused, the other guy was also confused.

The room was dead silent, you could hear the sound of papers and certain items in the room burning. The room was filled with light smoke making everyone's sight blurry.

' What the hell, I can't use my power' Clog said .

' What! Stop joking Clog now's not the time or place. I get it ,you are funny, I admit it now. ' Vim blurted out not realizing that he had revealed the name of his patner.

' No Vim . I'm serious I really can't use my power it just went off' Clog also said with a confused expression and he intentionally also mentioned Vim's name to drag him along if there ever was danger.

Meanwhile Rez was standing there perplexed by what was happening , he quickly used this opportunity to trigger the Emergency number installed on the com by just pressing a button.

This was a feature designed to call for quick help in case one faced any Criminal Espers.

Within a few seconds Rez realized that the light inside the man came back and immediately the man's power came back without him even realizing.

He was busy quarrelling with his patner when his patner alerted him.

" Hey hey ..it's back. "

Clog turned around to kill Rez but it immediately went off then some few seconds later it came back on but out of control.

He rather shots Vim who was now screaming from the pain of being burnt.

Rez laughed, he totally forgot he was in a hostile situation. I mean it's not everyday one gets to experience free Live comedy shows like this one.

Vim put out the fire only to see his patner face filled with fear.

Clog pulled Vim and took him out of the house. " We're leaving now!" Clog said

" We'll be back " . Clog shouted frustrated, angry and confused about the whole situation.

The moment they stepped outside they were shot by the cops with tranquilizers ( These prevent them from using their powers, they were not common and did not always work.) and arrested.

The cops then entered the house put the fire and found Rez on the floor fainted.
