POV: Ash 

Location: Northern Empire

The battle two days ago showed me a different side of Lula I did not know, a strong fairy capable of murder.

It always surprises me how her demeanor shifts from serious to awkward, from strong to vulnerable state.

Traveling through the Northern forest got us to the eastern forest in less than a day. To a place known for its abundance of water bodies.

To our surprise, today we stood in front of what used to be a lake, now it is just a huge crater lying in the forest, all the water is gone, and fish of different species are lying dead, having been decaying for quite a while.

Lula floating beside me has her vision fixed on the dried lake, her eyes embracing the horror in front of her, a whole habitat of fish destroyed, the corpses left to rot.

"A witch must have done this," I said, my eyes looking over my shoulder.
