Empire of Blood and Stars

Alysia is just a young girl when she loses the love of her life and she's forced to become a prisoner of war during an intergalactic battle of conquering planets. Her strong, metallic wings, the pride of her race, are sanded down in a torturous session of questioning. Her will is almost broken. When she returns to the land she adopted as her own, she must make a choice: run away from it all or face her old enemies and take her revenge. The path of revenge will lead to more fighting, chaos, and destruction. But it will also lead to redemption, and ultimately, a second chance for love.
