45 Siege at Akkee sect (10)

"Greeting patriarch. Nezha here."

"Close every doors and window, then follow me to the inner room." The patriarch smiled with sadden eyes. Although this boy was his favorite grandchild and his direct line but never once the boy called him grandfather. It was not like he did not know the reason if it was him he too would do the same. His youngest son was his favorite child and unlike the other two who were under strict training of their grandfather.

"Yes, sir."

The boy, Nezha, was his grandchild born from the village girl his son took a liking too. He knew about the village girl misfortune but did not send his son to the authority. He was Akkee sect patriarch, the surrounding village did not dare to raise any complaints.

The betrothal gift he gave to the village girl parent was enough for them to last a lifetime if they living the same way. He brought the village girl from her family and gave her to his son as a concubine.

He did not care and let his son did as he saw fit, he later knew that the village girl was assaulted and mistreated in many ways. But that was it for him the village girl was nothing.

"Thinking about this, I don't even remember that woman name." He thought.

Despite all that, the village girl luckily survived and gave birth to a boy with a healthy body and good head above his shoulder.

The boy was not his favorite at first, he did not pay the boy any attention not even a name or birthday gift was given to the boy. He only ordered his men to bring more food to the village girl.

The patriarch was not as bad as his third son, the boy was at least his direct grandchild and he did not want the boy to starve to death, that would be unacceptable as a human.

Even with such mistreat and misfortune, the boy proved himself as a prodigy and showed a lot of talent. The patriarch started to notice the boy and gave him more attention. However, he had to spend time caring about the sect and would not put much of his attention to only a grandchild born from a commoner.

Years passed by, the boy grew up and put on a good play in the competition. For the patriarch, he was surprised, the boy with a stupid son of his as a father did not disappoint him. He then took the boy into his care and now the boy was the most promising young star in the sect.

The outsider did not know much about the physical appearance of the boy much, as his information was not widespread even within the surrounding area.

Akkee sect did not allow the outsider to get inside their inner place much, the living quarters of the clan were on the top of the mountain below the summit, while the outsider would visit at the lower floor between the second barricade and the clan living quarter. For now, those places were filled to brim with the escapee magicians.

For people of Akkee sect, the teenagers would normally serve as a servant and trained as a disciple at the same time, most of them started from 9 – 15. Those who had enough quality would remain and become the inner disciple able to marry the outsider in, those without enough quality would force to chose between stay as a worker who could go to the outside and induce in the fame and glory of the clan or left.

If it was the old time Nezha would has a bright future here, but the bad memories of the past here made him loathed the place. Since he still relied on the sect to provide with foods rich in nutrients for his mother, thus he could not leave.

Now he wanted to left but he could not, there were those who tried to break through but were shot into the hedgehog without any mercy whether female or male.

Nezha felt that this patriarch was someone unfit to be the leader at all. In this situation, there would be no way of winning for the start. If it was him he would surrender or run away to hide. Staying in the fort with no reinforcement was nothing but slowing the inevitable.

Since Nezha did not step foot outside the sect and only learn a little about the outside world, he did not advise the patriarch. When he began to know the circumstance, there was nothing left for him to do.

"come with me." The patriarch brought Nezha to the inner room, he stood at front of the shelf and moved it, there was a secret passage led to down below. If people looked from the top this room was close with the restricted store building.

"Yes, sir." Nezha never knew about this before and confusing with the patriarch action. "Why does he show me this?" He thought.

"Close the gate, first. After that, you will need to learn about the history of our clan and its secrets."

Nezha followed the patriarch into the secret passage until both reached the secret room which is below the restricted store building.

Nezha looking around and he found the room to be something like a ceiling space where many things lying around. There was only dust and various document on the table in the middle of the room, at the opposite side of the gate he came in there was another gate.

"Look at these things." The patriarch showed Nezha three things that made Nezha a bit confusing.

"???" Nezha confused over the things he saw, he did not confuse because he did not know what were they but over the facts that they existed.

"These three things were our ancestor heritage, every patriarch needed to know about them and the story of our clan."
