Deity eyes Awaken

In a vast forest surrounded by countless trees towered one greater than the rest. This ancient tree surpassed the clouds, seemingly reaching into the starry skies! One look upon this tree and one would feel as if they've been transported into the past, with branches that seemed as if they could hold the sun and the moon, this tree could undoubtedly be called an immortal and the protector of one of the biggest clans in Sky Fire Continent.

Deep within the forest, a small form could be seen beside this ancient immortal tree. Wearing a black, long gown, with jet black hair appearing to be longer than his small frame and eyes that were seemingly vacant gave him an ethereal appearance, as if from another world. The innocence on his face betrayed his young age and from a cursory look, he appeared to be around 11 to 12.

"What did you see?" a vast otherworldly sound reverberated in the forest but strangely enough, no one else could hear it.

"Oh..." Fang Tien sighed lightly as the vacant looks in his eyes left him and pure brightness was restored to his jet-black pupils.

"Old hag, you know I can't remember anything after I've woken up, but I can feel my cultivation has increased again!"

A branch from the ancient immortal tree moved and touched Fan Tien's face. "You've already mastered the clan's basic cultivation techniques and so, after your eyes' bloodline truly awakens in today's ceremony, I shall personally teach you according to your results."

Fang Tien blinked "What if I don't awaken something good? You've made me the clan's Godchild before even my bloodline has awakened."

"Child, do not worry, for you possess a very special kind of aura, the same aura as that of my master, the Du Clan ancestor. Even in the countless universes, my master stood at the apex of cultivation. Five years ago when we first met, I sensed the same aura radiating from your eyes, an aura just like the one his eyes also used to emit."

"Tell me more about Ancestor again!" Fang Tien looked up in excitement.

"Child, Master was all-powerful. Traveling the vast continent of our world he went far and wide in order to battle and train his eyes' prowess. While other clans and sects train and cultivate their body, our Du clan tempers the eyes! Only through our eyes can we truly see the true laws of nature and by cultivating your eyes to the apex, we create a vast galaxy within akin to a secondary world! In actuality, the Du Clan is located within one of our Ancestor's eyes. This protects us from any enemies and allows us to train countless talents every decade. Nevertheless, such safety comes at a price; the Ancestor had to sacrifice one of his very own eyes..." the Immortal tree sighed lightly, lingering sadness could be discerned in the tone of its voice.

Fang Tien, however, was oblivious to the ancient immortal tree's melancholy as he was too excited by the prospects of what the awakening ceremony would give him.

"Granny, it is almost time for the awakening ceremony. I will be back after it is over!" Without waiting for a reply Fang Tien Dashed away, running as fast as his little legs could take him.

Due to the size of the forest and its special location, teleportation formations were located in it that connected to various key parts of the sect. Fang Tien ran upon one of these very formations.

"I should be able to use this to go directly to the Ceremonial Hall," Fang Tien quickly stepped into the formation and after a brief second, a white light engulfed him, teleporting him to his destination. A spacious lake entered his eyes, yet unlike normal lakes, this one was blood red! Despite its colour, it didn't give the young boy a scary feeling but rather one of warmth and dignity. A feeling of comfort surged through his body, stemming from his core.

Gazing around Fang Tien quickly noticed that he was surrounded by countless other kids! They too are all here for the awakening ceremony.

"Its the Godchild!" Gasps that soon turned to whispers could be heard among the children as they noticed Fang Tien presence.

"He appeared from thin air?" A slim child asked.

"Stupid! It was from the teleportation formation, he's even still standing on it," another scolded.

Fang Tien ignored the small commotion and walked to a secluded corner as he waited for the awakening ceremony to begin.

"Tsk! who does he think he is? He didn't even greet the elders," the slim child from before whispered.

"Shh! he doesn't have to since he's the clan's only Godchild," said a chubby child.

"Tsk. He might not even awaken anything," the slim child whispered even lower.

'It is time," a deep voice reverberated in the hall, bringing all talks and gossip to a close. One of the clan elders stepped forth to address the children that had gathered.

"We will now begin the awakening ceremony." His hand pointed at the blood lake. "Each child shall enter this lake formed from a drop of our Ancestor's blood at the same time. Through it, the bloodline inside all of you will be stimulated, making it purer. This is one of the reasons why our Du Clan can stand at the apex of our universe. Depending on how close your bloodline is to the source, you can awaken our Du Clan's unique eyes."

"Your eyes will be ranked based off the star patterns contained within them" the elder's voice resounded as he continued.

"Five stars are considered to be the weakest. Four stars are average while three stars would mean you possess some level of talent. Two stars would make you a genius, and last but not least, one star is known as Deity Eyes! This is because they're the closest to our Ancestor's and thus the most perfect form of our Du clan's bloodline," the clan elder concluded, the excitement could be heard in the elder's voice as he mentioned the Ancestor.

At the mention of Deity eyes, the children and Elders stole a quick glance at Fang Tien.

As a Godchild Fang Tien would be the hope of the Clan for this generation, as the last Godchild had appeared over 1000 years ago, and even then, they fell short by one level, only awakening two-star level eyes.

The children quickly ran into the lake, each stopping and standing still when the water reached their chests. Next, as they started dipping their faces into the lake, rose-colored clouds began to appear above them, with strong winds seemingly appearing from nowhere within the halls. As the children slowly opened their eyes a new pattern could be seen within them. Their once regular pupils were now purple, and shaped in the form of stars!

Quickly scanning the crowd of children in front of them, the elders could see that twenty children had 5-star patterns, seven with 4 stars and three with 3-star patterns.

Excited by their new-found vision the children lay idle in the ceremonial lake, whispering to each other.

"Silence!" the elder's deep voice rang out again. "It is now time to carry on the awakening ceremony for the Godchild," the elders looked at Fang Tien waiting quietly in the corner.

Fang Tien slowly looked up, walking to a small pond beside the lake. As this pond contained the purest and highest density of blood from their ancestor, it was only used for those deemed as" Godchildren".

After he slowly entered the pond and went through the awakening ceremony like the rest of the children before him, when Fang Tien opened his eyes once again he realized he was blinded! Darkness had covered his eyes and the world seemed to have disappeared!

"I can't see anything, is this normal?" Fang Tien grew worried at the loss of his sight.

But what he couldn't see, every elder and child could, as a vast boundless aura covered the Hall. It appeared to come from ancient time as if this aura was there since the beginning. A majestic pressure flooded the halls as a black slit appeared in the space above the blood lake, through it an eye with a single Star pattern stared at the Du Clan below.

Yes! The ancient aura was coming from the eye in the space!

"Deity eyes Omen!" an elder looked up, shock and disbelief written on his face.
