2 Buried

"No matter how much you try to hide it. It will come back to the surface"

A couple days have passed as they prepare for the funeral. She had stayed locked in the room for a week. "Jack?" Her lover has been trying to get her out of the room for awhile now. She didn't reply back. Jack checked her phone, just to find many missed calls from her family. One had caught her eye-"Doggie".

The nickname doggie was her step sister Brittany. They rarely see each other or talk in years. Brittany had left a voice message for her. Jack thought if she should listen to it, without thinking she pressed the button to listen.

-

"Hey...it's me! Been awhile since we last talked. I bet you still have me under doggie and I have you as potato. I...know you...don't to come....to 'his'.....funeral. No matter what....you still have to come....there we're...some things he left. Alright bye."

-

Jack started to cry her eyes out. She covered her mouth and screamed. After a few seconds, wiped her tears away and opened the door to the room. "You al-" she cut her lover off and told him, "I'll be gone for awhile".

She got everything she had in black to change into.

Her lover waited for her in the living room and turned around and ask her where she was going. Jack didn't say anything and left quickly, walking at a fast pace to end the quickly. She bumped into someone and fell onto the floor. "Miss, are you okay?" The stranger asked. "I'm alright but it's my fault for not looking" she replied looking up. His voice reminded her of someone of her past but didn't think of it too much-she moved as far as she could.

On her way to the funeral, she stopped that a flower shop. Many flowers with different meanings and encounter sunflowers. To her sunflowers were shinning everyday even when the worst got to them. And for her mother, daffodil for a new beginning for her new life. The shopkeeper looked that her with a warm aura. Jack place the flowers on the counter-"Looks like someone is gone but be positive. Death just means a new life" the shopkeeper said slowly. Jack looked that her for a second, "thank you" before leaving.

Once she walked out of flower shop, the sun was setting early than it should. The words of the old lady rang in mind. 'Maybe she has a point. No! No!' She thought trying to set herself straight. Once she arrived that the funeral. Jack had stayed in the back but made sure to listen to what they were saying.

"If weren't for you I don't know what I would do"

"You were there when I Most need you"

"You still had years ahead of you"

"We owe you so much"

Jack waited for them to finished and the coffins were covered with dirt. As the family moved to their cars to say goodbye to each other. She put the sunflower on her father grave and the daffodils with her mother. "I hate that I loved you bastard." about to kick her father grave. Then turned to the next one, "I wish I gotten to know you more...mom. I'm not ready to let you go yet...".

Brittany has left her bag and saw Jack. She wanted to say something but she had left quickly. "I'm sorry causing you pain" Brittany whispered as the wind picked up. The only person here who felt that Jack mother was gone was Brittany mother. Both mothers have despised each other for years fighting for noting that doesn't even love them.

Everyone tried to stay positive but the sister just thought of one moment.

As long as the step sister remember when they were young, fights were the only thing they remember of each other than new year eve. The only good thing that has happened to them. They still remember that day- laughter, playful and free day. How they wished they stayed there. But all good things come to an end.

Brittany joined the rest of her siblings to discuss the meeting they will have in a two days of both wills. "Come on well miss the party" she said with a smile. Both families had a party but decided to have separate ones since it's been war between them. In other words, "Not everything can mix".

As Jack made her way up the hill to her car. A white poodle was running up to her with its pack. "Oso!" she yelped by how they were. The head of the pack and the father was followed by the mother and their children. She didn't believe he was still alive. Oso was very old now about more than twenty years. "How you been boy and about you." playing with for a little while. A man was following after them.

Jack looked up to be surprised-the stranger form before was chasing after the dogs. 'Where have I seen him before. He looks familiar' she thought as he came up. "They must lke... yoo a lot" out of breath running to the top the hill. "Of course, they never forget me" she replied smiling. "Are you taking care of them?". He nodded "Yeah, they couldn't take care of six even with a crowed of them".

Both talked for while about the dogs and how he was just doing it for a friend. The stranger phone ringed as the owner was calling for him to bring the dogs back now. It was getting dark. "Well it seems the owner wants them back now. It's nice meeting you..." until realizing they haven't exchanged names. "Just call me J" she said getting up then walking off to her car more brighter. The stranger just looked that her and walk backward tripping.

Once she got to her apartment and unlocked the door. She heard something through the bedroom but couldn't make it out. "Kitten, you here?" She yelled over. Her lover fell on the ground making a thump. "I'm coming gimme a second".

"Most things are bad for me I life but cherish what you have. Don't make the same mistakes me and be careful with love."
