Someone sitting in the back could hear this blasphemous 6 letter word coming out of Joel's mouth, this guy who is sure to be forgotten in the next chapter, would hate Joel for the majority of this story, right up until the end when Joel happens to save his dying Chinchilla, purely by coincidence at that.
