22 Judgment Night

The atmosphere that should have been a night for rest turned into tension.

"What did you just hear?" asked the lady.

"I heard a rumbling sound from several footsteps. I'm sure it's the army that's chasing us!"

"Oh, I see."

Arzlan immediately woke up the people. After everyone woke up, they looked at Arzlan, a feeling of wonder immediately spread in their hearts. What made Arzlan wake up in the late night even though the sky was still dark.

"Sir, did something happen?" asked the elven youth.

"Currently it is possible that the pursuit team from the kingdom has arrived in the surrounding area. They won't be here any longer!"

"Huh..." Everyone became silent, the sleepy eyes disappeared when they heard Arzlan's words.

"Then what should we do?" asked the young man again.

Their faces became very worried, they not wanting to be caught by the royal troops. Of course, if caught they would be tortured, women would be raped, and men would be executed.

"Calm down! Everything will be fine! If you follow my words!"

Everyone smiled at Arzlan's words. While Arzlan himself was actually unable to believe what he said. Everything was uncertain, but in order to relieve the anxiety of the villagers he had to do just that.

However, there already no one , all the soldiers were astonished by the place.

"Master, should we continue our journey?" asked one of the soldiers.

"Not! I want to check this place out first!" He felt suspicious about the place he had just met.

Several times his feet stepped up. "Cracks!" Accidentally stepped on something. Immediately he looked down, what he stepped on was a pile of charcoal. His hand tried to touch the charcoal.

"Uh… it's still new!" He immediately stood up and said, "Everyone check this place right away! They just got out of here!"

Everyone immediately obeyed his orders. They began to check in various places such as bushes, tree branches, and several other places that they thought were suitable places to hide.

"Uh!" The eyes of one of the soldiers suddenly widened when he saw a man staring at him with a look of horror. "Ev—."

Crash!

Before the sentence was finished, the sword had already finished its lifespan.

The sound of the slash drew the attention of the squad leader. His ears caught a strange sound, he quickly checked towards the source of the sound.

The location in the thicket that was indeed very appropriate if someone was hiding, and what they were seeing at this time really confirmed that opinion. In front of them a soldier was already lying lifeless.

Big slashes can be seen carving on his body. With, a red tinge comes from blood.

"Tch! They really seem to want to make me angry!"

Crash!

Another slashing sound was heard, quickly the squad leader checked the source of the sound and again only a dead body was slashed by a sharp object.

"Leader! Is this the work of the elves in that village?" asked the soldier holding the torch.

"No, this is too good for the elves to do, this must be someone else's doing! Everyone gather!"

Hearing the leader's shout, the soldiers soon rushed towards him.

After all gathered the leader said, "All right! We are currently being attacked by someone! Its form is still unknown, I hope you guys immediately spread surveillance, kill anyone deemed suspicious! Understand!"

"Okay!" replied all the soldiers.

"Uhm?" Leader felt strange with one of the soldiers who was at the very back, he seemed to be lowering his head. "Oi… you try to come here!" He called the soldier.

There was no answer, he just lowered his head. Everyone wondered why the soldier looked so strange.

"Didn't you hear me!" shouted the leader using a booming voice that shocked all the soldiers. He was indeed known for his decisiveness, and moreover he was also a very cruel person.

Upon hearing that thunderous sound, the strange warrior began to walk.

"Good! Now come here, I want to hear what you're doing…." His eyes bulged from the soldiers who suddenly ran towards him. "He is…!"

Crash!

Indiscriminately, all so clearly that the soldier was the one who had killed the soldiers and disturbed all the troops.

Seeing this action everyone fell silent. They did not understand what was happening, in just seconds the head of the leader who was believed to be a great person had been chopped off.

"Humph! I'm surprised just only your mouth is so big!" Arzlan raised the helmet he snatched from one of the corpses of the dead soldiers in his hands.

Seeing Arzlan's face all fell silent. They feel scared, of course for an animal if it loses its head it will be very difficult to move. Likewise what happened to the soldiers, they could only be dumbfounded by what happened.

"Leader!" But, that doesn't mean that one head is missing the troops will be silent. "Everyone, kill this person! He already killed the Leader!"

"Absolutely pathetic! You guys should just stay quiet and wait for me turn to take your head." Arzlan then moved quickly, he cut everyone who was near him instantly.

Arzlan mercilessly cut the soldiers' bodies. Even those who don't fight are still Arzlan's targets, for him everyone who comes is a creature that delivers their lives.

No tolerance. Every slashing sound became music in the silence of the night. In a few minutes all the soldiers were killed.

Leaving only one, that is the man who gave the order to attack Arzlan. Arzlan looked at him with a horrible look.

"M-Monsters!" He let go of the torch and tried to run away from Arzlan as far possible.

"Eat him! Dark Eaters!" The black energy in the form of a monster instantly rushed towards the soldier.

"Not! Do not eat me!" He was surprised by a strange creature that suddenly appeared in front of him. The creature immediately pounced on his body brutally, he tore the skin and flesh of the soldier.

His voice was so loud it was like very crunchy bread crumbs, intestines, blood, and other organs splattered out.

Arzlan looked up at the sky. Clouds began to gather, the sky did not emit brightness. The moonlight was blocked by black clouds.

"Is he going to be all right?" asked the elven youth towards the woman who was always with Arzlan.

"I don't know, but if you have to believe that! He's fine!" She was unable to answer properly because her himself didn't understand what was going through Arzlan's mind. Her head turned towards the sky.

The rumbling started to sound like it was a bad omen.

"I hope he's okay!"
