28 Belief In The Leader

On the other side, Arzlan is currently starting a meeting with several people.

"Master Arzlan, why do you want to invite the four of us to gather here?"

The four people that Arzlan trusted had gathered, they were in a special room that was indeed reserved for a special meeting.

Arzlan glanced sharply at them. "I want to talk about something important, because I think it's time for this matter to be discussed!"

"What do you really want to talk about?" The young man was increasingly curious about what Arzlan would say.

His face looked so serious that they knew there was a pretty serious problem that Arzlan was going through.

"I want to say that I will be going on a journey soon!" That firm statement shocked them all.

"W-Why did Master say that?" An old man who was the previous village leader spoke up.

Of course, it really made them curious why Arzlan spoke like that, they suspected that Arzlan would leave them, even though it was very clear before Arzlan had promised to stay with them as leader.

"Huh..." Arzlan took a deep breath first, the topic he was going to talk about was heavy enough to make he was afraid that everyone there would be even more disappointed. "I already know that you will definitely question why I said that! However, you need to know before I promise to be your leader I have sworn to myself to change this world, I will punish those who have made this world like hell, if I just stay here it's the same as I break my own oath! If I had to choose, I would choose to live my oath! No matter if you guys get in my way, I'll still go even if it costs you all to die!"

The atmosphere became quiet, the words that came out seemed intimidating but actually Arzlan himself didn't want to do that, to give understanding a threat was needed.

"Does Master not want to be our leader anymore?" The Elf youth ventured to ask Arzlan.

"I've chosen that path before you met me, but being your leader is also my duty, I've dragged you into trouble that might make you suffer, do you still wish for something like that?"

Everyone looked at each other, here they had to think carefully about what kind of answer to give.

"Master Arzlan, we made a promise to ourselves! That, we don't care what happens as long as you still want to be our leader!" The young man's voice represented everyone who was there, not only in the room but everyone who was currently outside.

"I see!" Arzlan sighed again. His heart was beating a little faster than usual, even though he had always fought monsters, he had never felt anything like it, he thought it was better to face death than have to speak with a heavy burden.

"Listen!" A loud voice boomed out of Arzlan's mouth.

Everyone was stunned by the sound.

"I want to say this as your leader, if you feel heavy with what I said earlier then I am currently saying this as a leader! I want you to wait for me to come back here again, until my ambition is done! Since I still have a mission to complete, if I just stay quiet and wait here for some time then all that I've said as my oath won't be able to calm myself down. So I want all of you who are here to understand and understand what I want to do! If you're still whining and still going against what I say, then right now I won't be your leader anymore!"

All explanations in a loud tone have come from his mouth, they are increasingly difficult to speak respond what Arzlan said.

"M-Master!" But the young man very boldly spoke up. "I as the representative of everyone here will definitely be waiting for your return! We will definitely faithfully wait no matter how long it takes because right now our leader is you!"

After saying that everyone started to fall to their knees with eyes lowered. They already understand that Arzlan's words are not just words, if they lose the trust of Arzlan it's the same as they can no longer be trusted by anyone.

To be trusted is a very high honor, and if other people have lost their trust they will forever live in the shadow of guilt.

After that conversation, Arzlan was already preparing to go journey. The four people tell everyone, Arzlan will leave.

"Tomorrow!" Arzlan looked at the waterfall in the quiet night. He needed some time to calm his feelings.

"Has what you said earlier just now become a burden?" Mirseria suddenly appeared behind Arzlan.

Arzlan turned his head and said, "I just feel a little weird after saying it out loud like that!"

"That's okay!" Mirseria walked over to Arzlan. "These are all the duties and responsibilities of a leader!"

"Huh… you seem to be happy when I get a burden like this!"

The smile that Arzlan saw on Mirseria's face was a little annoying.

"Oh…sorry about that! I didn't mean to offend you!"

Mirseria hadn't shown herself in a long time, after two months they had met they had never again looked at each other or spoken to like now.

"So what made you come tonight to see me?" Arzlan understands very well that the appearance of Mirseria must have something to talk about.

"I just received news that the Demon King's army has taken control of the northern part of the Scaevola Kingdom!" Mirseria explained in a worried tone.

"So what does it matter to me?" Arzlan doesn't care at all, he thinks it's really good if Scaevola gets an attack by the monsters.

"For Master the kingdom may indeed be at fault, but with this happening the world will shake! The two sides may fight and make the entire area a victim, of course they will find this area! If that happens, Master will surely know what happened!"

Arzlan narrowed his eyes. "What do you want from me?"

"Master, I as the guardian of this forest, I ask you to block anyone who could potentially come and destroy this forest! I beg you very respectfully!" Mirseria lowered her head as a sign that she was really serious.

Arzlan was silent, he looked up at the sky. "Without you saying I will definitely make all the creatures that trouble this world meet their end! So I will definitely finish off all creatures!"

Mirseria got chill hearing Arzlan's words, words filled with strong ambition.
