1 The Contract

Two boys walked on a road, as then one of them opened his mouth...

"Oi! Villiam, today's the day!" A boy around 6'4 shouted out. He wore a simple t-shirt and shorts, while his white hair was floating in the air; he was looking with his ocean-blue eyes at another boy.

The so-called Villiam just smiled and replied:

"Yes, Justus." His look was quite intimidating, while he had a height of 6'2, and additionally, having Raven black hairs and black eyes wouldn't be the most normal thing for people. Many people were somewhat afraid of him.

However, behind them were many more teenagers with the same goal as them. Make a contract!

The world of Reisha, has many shadow organizations and one organization that is the world's protector and highest force! The Sanctum of Heads.

They can almost decide everything, except for one thing... The contracts!

The contracts... Every year, all teenagers worldwide are allowed to go to a tower... the so-called deity contraction tower. The reason why was simple it was a rule made by the only and true God himself. And not even the Sanctum of Heads can interrupt the holy ceremony of the deity contraction tower.

But now, I am sure many of you are curious, what is this contract thing? And I shall give you an answer. In the world of Resha, all races can make contracts with Gods, Former Legends, or other deities. Although every race can sign a contract with a deity, it is a little bit more tricky. Of all the total 4 million children that are trying their luck every year, only 0,1% succeed, and sometimes even less. The reason? The deity had to acknowledge the child and even respect it to a point where the deity would become the child's servant.

Of course, the children who hadn't so much luck to get a contract could still learn magic, but they couldn't attend the deities' academy. An academy where status doesn't matter and only talent and skills are the most important thing. The elite of the elite, the Resha national academy or also called the academy of legends.

And that was the goal of all these children that made their way to the TowerTower.

As Justus and Villiam had a conversation, a carriage with a symbol of a Pheonix came by. As every parent saw this, they immediately kneeled and greeted the girl who walked out of it.

The girl had beautiful blonde hair and green eyes that weren't really matching but still charming. Her face had a good shape as for her body. All in all, she was truly beautiful that every teenage boy would fall for, and as everyone saw the girl, they greeted her immediately.

"Welcome, princess." most teenagers and adults said as they saw the girl, except for our two pumpkin heads Justus and Villiam.

As then the adults saw this, their eyes almost popped out of their eyes as they thought:

'You Idiots! This is princess Madeline, the princess of our Kingdom!'

Princess Madeline looked at Justus and Villiam confused as she looked back to the carriage driver and Guards as she opened her mouth and said:

"I will go alone from now on." Even though she was 16 years old, like Villiam and Justus, she was only 5'3 tall, her aura was already formidable, and the guards and driver couldn't help but follow her commands.

She then walked over to Justus and Villiam and asked:

"Why don't you greet me ?" Her confusion was understandable. She was greeted and looked at with admiration everywhere she went, but this time not; those two didn't do it.

Villiam then replied with a simple answer:

"Well, why should we? We dont know you."

BOOM!

Saying this, almost everyone was shocked... 'How do you live in the Kingdom and don't know who that young lady is? Do you live under a stone or something?!'

The princess then looked at Villiam and the nodding Justus and then opened her mouth:

"Uh... Haha! How nice!" Her eyes lit up, and then a big smile appeared on her face as then Justus smiled back and said:

"Nice to meet you!"

... Silence everyone who saw the scene almost fell. Yet, Princess Madeline looked around and said:

"Go." And as she said that, everyone just walked away in a hurry leaving the three kids alone. As then everyone walked away, Justus, Villiam, and Princess Madeline also made their way to the TowerTower.

Princess Madeline looked then at Villiam and Justus while she walked beside them and asked:

"I don't want to sound arrogant or something, but... For real, why don't you greet me? Are you from a powerful family? Maybe the hidden talents of the Rexia family or Linx?"

Justus then looked with a confused look at her and said:

"Well, we really don't know you; we are more or fewer orphans! Therefore we have no real education..." He then said that as he put his hand on his head with an innocent look, Princess Madeline fell silent and then began to laugh.

"Haha! You guys really don't know me, right ?! So... Uhm, we can be friends, right?" She asked in an excited voice as she then looked at Justus and Villiam with a bright smile.

"Uh, of course!" Justus replied with a smile and thumbs-up, looking at Villiam, who did the same with a more cold expression.

"Uiii! How nice!" Madeline replied, throwing her arms in the sky and jumping around like a bunny. But then she realized what Justus said and asked:

"Justus, what did you mean by 'We are orphans more or less ?" She knew every orphan house (or church) but never saw those two, and also, how is someone 'An orphan more or less?

As she asked that, the bright smile of Justus disappeared, and Villiam replied:

"Well, we live in a room for ten copper coins a month, and Orphans have no family, but I have Justus!" Saying this, he tried to put on a bright smile.

'A family...' Princess Madeline thought, even though she wanted to talk more. She saw the crowd in front of them that was waiting to enter the TowerTower. And therefore, she thought it would be rude to talk about personal things in front of so many people.

And as they arrived, they began to wait and then...

Then as the clock fell on 12 o'clock, a loud sound sounded in everyone's ears, as then an older man appeared in front of everyone.

He had a long grey beard and wore a blue-white robe while he held a staff. His grey eyes looked around as he then began to speak up:

"As many of you know, this is the holy ceremony of the deity tower. If anyone is interrupting, the interrupter will be instantly eliminated.

Once you enter the TowerTower, you will not choose which deity you want to make a contract with, no. The deity is choosing who it wants to make a contract with. Therefore there are only three rules.

Once you enter, you are not allowed to go back.

You have five minutes to get a contract.

If you cant get a contract in 5 minutes, you are disqualified ever to enter the TowerTower."

After he explained everything, he disappeared, and the gate of the TowerTower opened for everyone.

Madeline then said:

"Justus, Villiam, it was nice to meet you, my friends!" As she then entered the TowerTower. Looking back at them, she thought:

'We couldn't even play together...'

Entering the Tower, Madeline appeared in front of a card deck; while she was confused that there was nothing more than a card deck, she just looked at it and thought:

'This game...' Looking at the card deck for a while, she then touched it. But at the same moment she touched it, it began to tremble as then it flew up.

"W-What is going on?!" Madeline thought as she suddenly was surrounded by the flying cards. Crouching down on the ground, she hoped that nothing would happen, and as she thought everything was over, the cards were now forming a diagram...

And then slowly, someone was walking out of it... The someone was a male, but still, his appearance was quite special. He wore a weird hat, even more, weird clothes.

(A/N: You will soon know why it was hard for me to describe that, and not only because I am not an American.)

"YOHOHO! I have chosen you! Me Ikol the Jester!"

"Excuse me ?..." Madeline was confused; what the hell was going on?! Now suddenly someone walked out of the magic circle, and even introduced to her...

However, as Ikol appeared, the cards then turned into a blue-yellow book with no pages. Just the plain color of blue and yellow.

"W-What is that ?" But before Madeline could talk any further, she was interrupted by Ikol.

"Now little girl! Recite me!"

"W-What why should-"

"I know you want an contract and now is your chance.... YOHOHO!"

"I- Ok fine!"

Ikol and Madeline were talking, but at the same moment, Ikol mentioned the contract Madeline changed and immediately listened to him.

"Well then! Now recite!

'I -your name- will sign the contract of the Erylsium and become the master of all games! I will beat those who dare to challenge me and trick those who are stronger than me!"

Madeline then nodded and began to recite his words:

"I Madeline will sign the contract of the Erylsium and become the master of all games! I will beat over those who dare to challange me and trick those who are stronger than me!"

"YOHOHO! Perfect! And now the blue-yellow book began to spin as a name appeared on the book...

"Madeline Ja'Benak"

However, as the name appeared on the book, she turned into a light and left the Tower...

Meanwhile, at Villiam and Justus...

Villiam and Justus then looked at each other, and only after 2 minutes, they entered the Tower...

"We will see us again, bro!"

"Definitely."

Entering the Tower, Villiam appeared in front of a big library with millions of books. But then, as he looked at the books, there were no cover on them nor anything else; they were plain white.

"Huh?" Villiam thought as he then walked around and then recalled the memory...

"The deity has to choose me." With this in his mind, he sat down and waited.

Meanwhile, at Justus...

When he entered the TowerTower, he appeared in a snow-white room, and in front of him appeared a 9'7 woman. She had a perfectly shaped body and beautiful snow-white hair; while she inspected Justus with her white eyes, she suddenly took Justus in her arms...

"My child... You have gone through so much..."

Justus then looked at her and began to spoke:

"I- What?"

The woman couldn't help but began to cry; as she took Justus in her arms, she thought.

'How could a 16-year-old feel such feelings inside him? And how much has he been going through to feel these feelings?... And how is he suppressing those?'

As she then backed up and looked at Justus, she said:

"I choose you."

And as she said so, a white book appeared in front of her and Justus.

"Wait, what?!" Justus thought, what did just happen? Not even 2 minutes were over, and he already had a contract?!

"Tell me, my child... What is your name ?" The woman asked as she looked at Justus with a smile.

"I- I am Justus!" Even though he was confused, Justus quickly replied.

"Well then. My name is Idaks." She then added as the white book began to spin, as then Idaks quickly added:

"Now recite me, my child."

"Yes!" Justus, who couldn't follow everything, just replied as then Idaks then nodded and began...

"I Justus will sign this contract with the Erylsium. I will freeze everyone upon my path, and my heart of ice shall never be shattered. The only ones that shall feel the warmth of my heart are those who are truly good people and people I love from the bottom of my heart. "

Hearing the words, Justus quickly recited them:

The book then stopped to spin as then a name appeared on it:

"Justus Joetun"

As he then took the book and opened the book, he noticed something...

All pages were empty!

But before he could ask, he turned into a light and disappeared, hearing the last words of Idaks. He then left the Tower...

"This contract shall strengthen you, the heart of ice, with my power."

ZHUSH...

Back to Villiam...

"One minute left." He said with his usual cold expression while waiting.

And then, as Justus noticed only 10 seconds were left, he began to count down...

"10."

"9."

"8."

"7."

"6."

"5."

"4."

"3."

"2."

"1."

And as he was about to stay up, a loud snap sounded in his ears...

SNAP!

"Time stop."
