78 Chapter 78: Colossal Sect

Looking at Comet's collapsed body, I was honestly surprised that he was still alive after tanking one of my casual attacks, even if he had help from some talisman, which appeared out of nowhere, just like his sword.

"Shall I kill him now, your highness?" Asked Idonea as she looked at Comet's body, still angry at his disrespect to Elif.

"Calm down, Idonea; he survived my attack, so let him live. Besides, aren't you the slightest bit interested in his abilities? Being able to summon objects from nothing is quite interesting to me." Said Elif, to which Idonea released her hand from her sword, though she was still evidently angry.

"P-Prince Elif, I'm deeply sorry for his actions; I hope you can somehow forgive him, and if not, you can punish me instead!" Said May, suddenly kneeling before Elif with her head down, shaking in slight fear and anger.

"Hmm, how about this then? Tell me everything you know about Comet, from when you met him until now." Ordered Elif as he and Idonea turned around and headed back to the carriage, while May took this chance to grab Comet's body and bring him with her.

Getting back in the carriage, I hovered slightly over the seat and watched how May carefully position Comet's body to where his head rested on her lap. Shortly later, the butler returned, and we began flying through the sky, heading directly to May's sect, which should take a few hours, perfect for May to tell me about Comet.

"Comet and I first met roughly a year ago when he was just a newly advanced Nascent Soul cultivator. At that time, I planned to visit someone; however, on my trip, assassins attacked us, and everyone except me and my butler James was killed. Though I managed to escape, I was poisoned and greatly injured, and I quickly collapsed in the forest. Luckily for me, Comet happened to be looking for some herbs and saw my wounded state; he took me in and helped heal some of my injuries; however, I was still too weak to survive on my own, so I reluctantly stayed with him as a means of protection for as long as I could." Explained May while stroking Comet's head with rosy cheeks.

Over the next few hours, May continued explaining her adventure with Comet and some of his incredible feats, such as defeating someone two entire realms higher than him, crafting a four-star heavenly pill, creating heaven-grade formations, forging heaven-grade weapons and artifacts, and inscribing heaven-grade talisman; my interest and suspicion of him grew. All the things May claimed he could do were things that only people who have lived for a long time could accomplish, and even if he was talented, achieving all that at merely the age of twenty should be impossible for someone living in this realm.

"And that's everything I know, Prince Elif." Said May, looking at Elif, who was deep in thought.

"Hmm, I must say, for everything he has gone through, he's quite lucky, though he seems to be equally dumb as well." Commented Elif, to which May couldn't deny.

"Is there anything else you want to know, Prince Elif?"

"No, that's enough; besides, we've just arrived at the Colossal sect." Said Elif before closing his eyes, seemingly resting.

"Young Mistress, we've arrived." Said James, the butler.

A few minutes later, we landed and exited the carriage, only to come face to face with a mansion that seemed to serve as the central figure of the sect.

"I had already contacted the Sect Master of your arrival, so you should go and quickly meet him, Young Mistress. While you do that, I'll have the servants care for Comet." Said James as he grabbed Comet and flew off in a different direction.

I wasn't the least interested in the father and daughter reunion, but having scanned the entire sect with my divine sense, I knew there was absolutely nothing intriguing about this sect, so I just followed along. While walking alongside May, we entered the mansion and navigated through several hallways before eventually arriving at two large doors, which reminded me of a throne room.

Opening the doors, the room inside looked very similar to a throne room, except there were several other thrones instead of just one or two, and there were all occupied. As we walked down the long room, I could sense several people try scanning me with their divine sense, to which Idonea suppressed their divine sense with her own, causing them to retract their divine sense in fear.

Once we made it to the end of the room, in the middle of the thrones, was a man sitting on the center throne; he stood up from his seat before quickly appearing in front of May and bringing her in for a hug.

"I've missed you, May." Said the man quietly, causing May to nearly shed a tear while reciprocating the hug.

"Me too father, It's good to be back."

"Anyways, this must be the young man James was talking about. As a father, no words can express my deep gratitude for what you've done; know that from now on, you'll always be a friend of my Colossal Sect." Exclaimed the man with a giant smile as he let go of May and proceeded to hug Elif, though before he could, his body instantly stopped.

"Don't touch me; I won't give another warning." Said Elif, speaking to the frozen man before freeing him from his constraints.

Once the man was free, I saw his happy face quickly morph into one of fear before swiftly standing between May and I, though before either of us could say anything, someone else rudely interrupted.

"Who do you think you are to speak to the Sect Master like that!?" Stated a young man, arrogantly looking down at Elif.

"Elder Jalen, you don't need to get involved; I can handle it." Said the sect master, though the young man was too dumb to notice the hidden signals he was giving out.

"There is no need Sect Master; dealing with someone so lowly would be disgraceful considering your status; let me teach this insect a lesson." Said the young man arrogantly, though the moment he tried pressuring Elif, his head suddenly fell off his body, and only when people heard the sound of sword sheathing did they notice Idonea.

"Didn't even give him a chance." Commented Elif, though he didn't sound bothered by her actions.

"He was being very disrespectful; besides, your Highness, you didn't find him interesting, so it made no difference whether he was alive or dead." Stated Idonea blandly, causing everyone else to fear as no one sensed Idonea's attack.

"Can't deny that." Said Elif with a light chuckle, though he could tell Idonea was merely venting her anger on that unfortunate young man.

Looking around, I noticed everyone looking at us in fear and caution; however, that was something I was used to, given my status. Ignoring the stares, I walked towards the center throne and was about to sit down, but before I did that, I switched it out with my own throne that I kept in my dimension ring.

"There, now I can actually sit down." Muttered Elif as he ripped out the old throne with a purple palm before comfortably sitting in the new one.

"May, who are these two? I can't sense either of their cultivation?" Whispered the sect master while still protectively standing beside May.

"Allow me to introduce these two to everyone present, she is Ms. Idonea, and he is Prince Elif. They are both visitors from the Heavenly Realm above." Announced May, causing everyone present to be shocked and doubtful at her words, but when they remembered how Idonea casually killed one of their own without them even sensing her, they believed it.

Once again, I wasn't from the heavenly realm. Still, I also didn't care enough to correct their mistake, so I just ignored their murmuring and took out a spirit stone to begin cultivating, as I had nothing better to do until Comet awakened.

"His Highness is cultivating, no distractions." Said Idonea as she used her Qi to push everyone out of the room and closing the door before they could react.

"Everyone, just return to what you were previously doing." Said the sect master, feeling uncomfortable that his own place got robbed. However, he didn't dare interrupt Elifs cultivation session, so he just grabbed May and disappeared while everyone else followed his orders.

"Gel, what the hell was that!? Why couldn't I see Elifs stats even though I could see Idonea's stats!? Why were they all question marks!?" Asked Comet angrily after waking up and dismissing the servants who were taking care of him.

"It's the same reason why the system suddenly shut down after you tried using the talisman on him; he's a Royal Elf." Answered Gel solemnly, as the system's creator was a powerful person in the OverRealm, so, of course, Gel knew of the OverRealm and how terrible their situation was.

"So what if he's a Royal Elf! That doesn't explain why I couldn't see his stats."

"The system simply isn't strong enough to see through the protection placed upon him. The system's creator is a powerful independent cultivator from the OverRealm, but even he wouldn't dare start trouble with any Royal Elf. The system shutting down was merely a warning the Royal Elfs gave: if you try anything again, the system will be destroyed, along with your soul." Declared Gel, causing the angry Comet to quickly calm down in slight fear, finally understanding the system isn't as omnipotent as he thought.
