Chapter 2: Moving

(March 5, 2009: 13:00)

The TV was on in the background playing cartoons as Elizabeth watched them."Mark, get the table into the shipping crate." Lizbeth said as she stretched.

"Alright, just give me a moment!" Mark responded as he set a few boxes down.

Elizabeth grabbed the remote, which was the size of a brick phone to her, and started to change the channel. Elizabeth decided to stop on one and felt intrigued. "Welcome to JLT News! The top story of today is the discovery of an ancient tomb in China! Hey Jen, why don't we throw some pictures up on the back!" The well dressed News Anchor said with a low professional tone.

When he did pictures of a grand tomb showed up, the tomb is made of marble, basalt pillars standing at each corner with an amethyst top, the biggest amethysts one would likely ever see in fact, the roof formed a pyramid of dark granite, the entire tomb itself had many decorations on it, the front had an indented space on the front, sizing to about eight feet tall and two and a half feet wide with a sign hanging in front of the indentation, the sign read "The Novak Tomb", in Latin letters.

"Mother! Come look!" Elizabeth Exclaimed in a sudden outburst of voice.

Lizbeth walked over and saw Elizabeth pointing to the TV which was now on a news channel. As Lizbeth started looking she realized something was fishy about that tomb. "What are English words doing on an ancient tomb from China? and a Czechian name?" Lizbeth muttered to herself "That's very intrigueing Lizbeth! Thank you for showing me... Why don't you go pack up the rest of your toys, and remember to bring you medicine, okay?" Lizbeth said as she sat next to Elizabeth.

"Okay mother!" Elizabeth said as she grabbed a bottle of pills and bolted off to another room. Lizbeth looked towards the TV and muted it as she started to think. As Lizbeth was thinking, it made less and less sense, then some text flew by on the bottom of the screen, it read, "The tomb was dated to be about 5-7 thousand years old, maybe even older.

"I don't understand, this makes no sense, it's impossible for English words, let alone the Latin alphabet to be in China in that time period..." Lizbeth whispered faintly.

"Something wron Lizbeth?" Mark asked as he picked up a few floor lamps.

"Elizabeth changed the channel to the news, it seems there is something quite peculiar in China." She responded weakly, as if lost in thought.

"Peculiar? Well, I suppose you would know better than I would, you do have several degrees in world history and linguistics after all." Mark said as if he was bragging.

"Well, I suppose I'll research it later, I'm sure my boss'll find it interesting." Lizbeth responded as if she had given up on thinking any deeper about it.

(March 5, 2009: 15:00)

"Alright, the moving company said that they'll handle the rest this!" Mark said excitedly as he held plane tickets to Japan.

"Father! D-do we h-have to leave today?" Elizabeth asked meekly as she walked around the corner of the hallway, rolling a suitcase with great difficulty.

"I told you Lizziebear, we have to leave today, these are the only plane tickets we have." Mark responded warmly. Mark motioned Elizabeth to follow him as he went to his car.

"We have to leave soon Mark, otherwise we'll miss the plane!" Lizbeth exclaimed to her Husband while waiting in the car. Mark looked up at the house that he knew he would never see again, at least, not until Elizabeth's medical situation was cleared up, his heart became heavy as he thought about what may occur.

"I'm coming!" He responded to Lizbeth, ignoring his inner sadness. Mark entered on the passenger side as they drove to the airport.

(March 5, 2009: 18:35, Portsmouth International airport.)

"Come on Lizziebear, we are almost at the terminal." Lizbeth said softly as she woke up Elizabeth, who is on her back sleeping. As Elizabeth woke up she drowsily looked around and saw concrete floors, people all around here, speaking all sorts of languages, carrying or rolling luggage around, including her parents.

"Hm? Mama, what did you say?" Elizabeth asked drowsily as she came back to her senses.

"We are almost to the terminal, you have to wake up so we can get you seated." Lizbeth responded.

"Okay... I'll walk on my own from here Mother." Elizabeth said as she attempted to climb down her mothers back.

"Alright." Lizbeth responded as she crouched to let Elizabeth down. Elizabeth looked around a bit more as she walked next to her mother, who was holding her hand, and noticed a few shops, only a few stood out though, YA budu lenivym, Korera ni nani mo namae o tsukenai, Meishenme zhongyao de, Ahunimi yiteregumalu, Paradosiako Elliniko Estiatorio, and Vnimavaite za tumnata syanka, each of which are food stores serving different types of foods, though Elizabeth can't read any of them.

after a minute or so they finally reached the terminal, though to Elizabeth it felt like forever. Elizabeth stepped onto the plane holding her fathers hand, following closely behind him through the aisles. "Alright Lizziebear!" Mark said as he picked up Elizabeth, setting her on the middle seat, Lizbeth is on her right, on the seat closest to the window, and Mark had just sat down on her left, the seat closest to the aisle. The seats were gray with a blue streak that went down the center, a very vibrant blue at that, the streak was about four inches and the seats seemed as if they were made for giants to Elizabeth, though the seats were still comfortable. After Elizabeth had gotten into a nice spot on her seat, she quickly fell asleep.

(March 7, 2009: 03:02: Tokyo, Japan.)

"Lizziebear, time to wake up, we are leaving the plane." Mark said as he lightly shook Elizabeth in a vain attempt to wake her. Lizbeth sighed.

"Let me try." Lizbeth said as she ruffled Elizabeth's hair telling her to wake up, but it was just another failure. At this point the two were concerned. Mark checked Elizabeth's pulse while Lizbeth checked her breathing, the both of them breathed a sigh of relief when they saw she was fine. "looks like she's exhausted, haha." Lizbeth said with a light tone.

"She has a right to be, She did stay up quite a while on the plane after all." Mark responded as he chuckled, mostly at himself.

Sorry it's taken me so long to post this chapter! Recently my sleep schedule changed because I just got back to school! I hope that soon I can get back to writing and get a set schedule going! The same goes for Ancient Cultivation, I am thinking about alternating the weeks and doing weekly chapters that way, anyways, as always, I hope you enjoyed!

(P.S. for those of you who don't know what an autowalk is, it's a conveyor belt at airports that people walk on to get to their terminal faster.)
