7 Elemental Powers and Sibling Rivalry - Chapter 2 [ Part 2 ]

It was another peaceful day, and Zan began his morning by cooking breakfast. This time, he used fresh vegetables that Ruby had given him. Earlier in the morning, Ruby had come by to deliver the fresh vegetables.

As the sun was just starting to peek over the horizon, its soft rays casting a warm glow, there came a knock on the door.

"Wait a moment," Zan said as he made his way to the front door.

Creeeak...

"Who could it be?" Zan wondered aloud as he opened the front door.

"Sorry to disturb you. Ah! I've brought you some fresh vegetables."

A girl stood before Zan. She was none other than Ruby, a girl with flowing green hair. She seemed a bit shy, holding a basket of fresh vegetables.

"These are vegetables from Uncle Fuji," she added with some awkwardness.

Zan was surprised to see the sweet girl standing there with a basket of vegetables.

"Oh, it's you, Ruby. Thank you," Zan said as he gently took the vegetables and gave her a friendly smile.

"You're welcome," Ruby replied briefly, her gaze slightly lowered.

There was a moment of awkward silence. The wind brushed against them both, causing Ruby's green hair to sway gracefully in the breeze.

The sight was beautiful, observing the girl with her hair dancing in the wind, truly refreshing.

Zan found himself lost in a momentary daydream, all while still looking a bit awkwardly at the girl.

"In that case, I'll head back now," Ruby said, turning around and returning to her home.

Zan recalled Ruby's sweet face as she had delivered the vegetables earlier. "Ruby is such a kind person," Zan praised, blushing slightly at the thought of Ruby.

"Ah, what am I even thinking?" Zan muttered to himself as he continued cooking his breakfast.

Before long, his breakfast was ready and served on the dining table.

"Now it's time to wake up my brother," he murmured.

"Hey, Brother! Breakfast is ready; come down!"

Tap... thud...

A few sounds were heard from the floor above, indicating that Zum had stumbled as he started walking.

"What are you doing, Brother?"

"Relax, Zan. I just tripped over some things because I'm still half-asleep," Zum replied as he descended the stairs. His face was still disheveled and drowsy.

"What's on the breakfast menu today, Zan?"

"Open your eyes and see for yourself!"

"Ah, alright, alright."

The two of them began to enjoy their breakfast, the sound of munching filling the room.

Zum made a slight move and initiated a conversation.

"Hey, Zan, do you still dream of becoming a Foga?"

Zum started the conversation between them.

"Isn't it obvious? I will definitely become the greatest!" Zan exclaimed with determination, responding spontaneously as he disliked being seen as weak by his older brother.

"But you're quite the underachiever, Zan."

Zum casually remarked, trying to dampen Zan's spirits with his words. However, Zan remained unfazed by what he said.

"Yes, I know that. But I'll train hard to become stronger, stronger, and even stronger!" Zan declared.

"You're always so enthusiastic, aren't you?"

"I'll even surpass you, Brother!"

Zan said with absolute confidence, believing that his strength would continue to grow and improve, even though it might take a long time.

Zum, seeing his younger brother's enthusiasm, could only laugh.

"Hahaha! That won't happen. It's impossible," Zum said quietly under his breath so that Zan couldn't hear.

Zum's usually stoic face lit up. He looked at his brother who was still eating.

"Hmm, Zan, after breakfast, come with me for a moment."

Zum invited, appearing to have a plan.

"Sure, Brother."

Zan agreed, delighted that Zum had something in mind.

"What do you have in mind, though?"

Zan asked with a curious expression, gazing at his brother for a while.

"I'll train you here, Zan!"

"Hah, training?"

"Yes, it's been a while since I've trained with you, Zan."

"That's true, but that's because you're always lazy," Zan thought to himself for a moment after hearing his brother's words.

"Alright, I'll train with you, Brother!"

Zan responded with enthusiasm. He rarely had the chance to train with his older brother.

Zum approached Zan, and it seemed he was about to say something.

"But this time, we won't train as usual."

"Then how will we train, Brother?"

Zan asked, a little confused by his brother's earlier comment. Zum gazed at his younger brother and said softly.

"We're going to spar, Zan!"
