-- Chapter 1 : Little Keychain --

"Almost done~!"

"Ria said Mrs. Turner is close to her explosion.."

"B-But calm down, Aria! I uh.. I'm pretty sure we'll make it!"

"Eh..? I'm done using the bathroom and you're still not done here?" I walk out the bathroom after washing my face. Only to see Aria running all across her bedroom, with a worried Alessandra tapping her foot with her phone in her hand. And of course, Nikki who's helping our panicking friend.

"I don't think you need to bring a lot of ballpens.." Nikki laughed.

"Just in case." Aria reasoned, checking her bag, "I just figured I really should fix my things from time to time.. My bag is a real mess.."

"Um.. I'll just check if my stuff are organized." Nikki walked away as she dashed to her bag.

"Hurry, Aria.." Alessandra tapped her foot once again on the hard wooden floor.

"Comb, notebook, extra ballpens-- no, wait! Where's my pencil?!"

Alessandra facepalmed at this, as we are all running out of time.

"You really went overboard with breakfast today, Alessa. Anything good recently?" I questioned the ginger-haired girl beside me.

"Nah, not really." she shrugged, "I just woke up earlier than usual so I decided I should probably make a different meal."

"That's a really good choice." Nikki, the brunette, approached us after she had rechecked her things, "I don't think we can survive highschool with only pancakes for the morning.."

"Done!" Aria lifted her bag.

"God, finally!" Alessandra ushered everyone to the front door, "Took you long enough." she said as she locked our dorm, as the rest of us head to the front yard where the bikes-

Oh, shoot.

The bikes aren't here.

"Snap, I forgot we had them repaired yesterday!" Alessandra exclaimed and we all stared blankly.

"The line at the bus stop is unusually long, too. Same with the traffic." Aria pointed at the long line of people waiting for busses to appear.

"Does that mean we have to go to school by foot?!" Nikki arched an eyebrow.

"That's the best option right now.." I added.

And before we knew it, Alessandra had already ran before us, as we followed quickly.

"40 minutes." the ginger-haired panted, "We get to school in 15 minutes with our bikes."

"Yeah? What about it?" I looked at her.

"If we run fast, we could probably get there in 30 or 35 minutes. Then we'll have time to get to class." she explained.

"That's a lot of work. But I guess it'll do." said Aria.

"Welp, it's not like we have- eh?!"

Before we knew it, Nikki had stopped on her tracks, bumping into someone faster than us.

He wore a light blue hoodie on top of the same uniform as our school.

"S-sorry! I'm almost late!" the boy ran forward, not noticing his key falling.

"He's in the same school as us." I held up the key. It was tainted in silver, with also a keychain in a form of a little wooden chest.

"That's probably his key to his dorm or something." Aria eyed the object.

"I didn't recognize his face, so he's obviously new, right?" Nikki looked at us.

"Er.. We should really talk about this later. We're running out of time!" Alessandra got back to her running, with us following from behind.

•••

"Let's just wait for him here." Alessandra sat, placing her tray on the table.

"I hope he'll be here soon, though. It's hard for me to focus on eating while finding someone." I sat beside Alessandra, as Nikki and Aria sat on the opposite seating from us.

It was lunch time, and we were waiting for the boy that bumped into us earlier to appear, since he wasn't in our class earlier.

"I still can't believe we have to dig up holes for the gardening club." Nikki huffed.

"I know right? We aren't even in their club, so why do we-" Aria protested, but her mouth was covered with my hand.

Aria only raised her eyebrow at this.

A few minutes later, I took off her hand, having Aria shocked, "What the heck?" she muttered as I chuckled.

"Mrs. Turner was looking at us, you know.." I said.

"Oh, okay."

"By the way, I'm gonna go shopping with Ria and Cerise tomorrow." Alessandra jumped in the conversation as she tried plucking her eyelashes, "So I might not be able to make dinner or something."

"No problem. I'll be in charge tomorrow." Nikki smiled before biting on her hamburger.

"Ah, crap." I sighed as she peeked at her phone, "I gotta eat fast and go. The coordinator of the piano class is calling me." I looked at the others and they just nodded.

"Mhm, you got a lot of things behind you lately." said Aria as she sliced her pizza.

"Yeah."

- 3rd Person's P.O.V -

"Darn it! I still don't get why we have to dig up holes for the club's damn sake!" Alessandra exclaims.

"He'll get karma soon enough." Aria sighs.

"Let's just finish this fast, I can't be late with my homework." said Kira as she slams her locker closed.

"Do you even do your homework, Kiara?" Nikki raised an eyebrow and looked at the short blonde girl.

"Wha- of course, I do!" Kira shouted.

"I thought you always copy from Samantha."

"That was because I forgot to do it. And I didn't copy the whole thing. Just a little and thought of some my own."

"I guess it's a bit understandable. Considering you're in Sir Johnson's class." Aria nodded.

"Mr. Johnson's a good guy, but no one would want to see him angry." Alessandra stifled a laugh, and the others laugh in broken unison.

Now that they've got their clean gym clothes and gloves on, they head to the back garden.

The garden was beautiful in many ways, that they can't give a word to describe it.

It looked mystical, it was as if they had just gotten in a whole new world.

Flowering vines crept up in various pergolas and arches around the mystical place, dozens of trees sheltered birds of all sorts, a large greenhouse on the distance became the home of numerous healthy fruits and vegetables which the school used for making lunch for the countless students studying there. Short, lush green hedges surrounded the huge, yet lively garden and a big, prepossessing gazebo stood at the middle of the garden with a glass table with 6 wooden chairs that was sheltered by the gazebo's roof. The trees swayed as their leaves were shined by the setting sunlight. It was indeed admirable. The place gave a relaxed feeling where you could wash away your problems.

Although they always see the school's garden, they couldn't help but admire its mesmerizing beauty. Can you blame them? We see the sunset every day, yet we still cherish it, as if it was the first time we've seen it. It's probably like seeing your lover everytime but still cherishing them?

And what was entirely different is..

There was a sturdy, tall silhouette of a male. His hair seemed to have life of its own, as cool winds whipped through his blonde locks.

"D-dammit.. Where the heck is the key?!" His stammering voice ruined the whole mood that the garden had set up.

"Mood." Aria sighed.

"Shoot.. Even the chest is gone..?" the boy searched his pockets in a panicked tone.

"He's probably the owner of the thing we found, right?" Alessandra nudged Nikki on the arm.

"Maybe? I dunno." the brunette shrugged.

"I'll hand it to him then." Kira made her way to the flustered person, having the key, and also the keychain, dangling on her fingers.

"You- how- where- what?" the boy spit out different words, his eyebrows twitched, "Y-you're the person in.." he attempted to say something, but held back. Instead, he reached out for Kira's hair, making the girl flustered.

"E-EH?! Are you a pervert or something?!" Kira reacted way too quick, backing away.

"W-what?! No! It's not what you think.." Spencer backed away as well, "But.. You have nice reflexes, so you're probably her..."

"What the hell are you talking about..?" Kira twitched.

"You bumped into my friend earlier when you were headed to school." Alessandra engaged in the conversation.

"What's your name? What's your relation to the key? Why did you say chest instead of keychain?" Aria, on the other hand, threw a handful of questions as she poked her clean spade to the flustered person.

"E-eh..? I uh.."

"That's not how you socialize, Aria.." Nikki smiled wryly.

"A-about that.." the blonde boy carefully accepted the key along with the keychain.

"I'm-"

"Spencer Medea." Alessandra cut the person's introduction as she crossed her arms.

"Wha- I thought you didn't see him in any of your classes?!" Kira twitched.

"I'm forgetful." the ginger-haired just shrugged.

"The thing is.. Uh.."

"Hurry up, we have duty to do." said Aria, as she eyed the male suspiciously.

The boy, who was apparently named Spencer, sighed at this and removed the keychain.

"Chest of Anix, transform." he chanted as the once small box had turned into an enormous one, not too big actually, just a size of a book.

"What the- what are you?!" Kira panicked.

"Um.. Who's Anix?" Aria questioned.

"The one who discovered the Oracles, the 5 mystical objects."

"Please don't tell anyone about this-" he added.

"Uhm.. You do know we're in school, right?" Nikki tried to smile despite the bizzare thing that just happened.

"So, um.. What are you?" Aria repeated Kira's past question, as Alessandra nodded.

"I'm still human?"

Everyone turned a blank expression at the blonde's answer.

"I-I mean.. Well, I am human, but I have this superficial power called 'element'. " he explained.

"Riiiiighhhhttt.." Alessandra raised an eyebrow.

"I'm telling the truth, I swear!"

"Remaining students in this school will hear you if you keep that up.." said Kira.

"Anyways, I'm Spencer, and I'm an elemental."

"A what?" Nikki started digging up holes while conversing, as the others followed.

"I'm from a dimension called Arca." The boy turned to Aria's direction.

"And..?" Aria looked up to Spencer.

"You people, are elementals just like me!" this made the others raise an eyebrow.

"What's an elemental again..?" Alessandra rubbed the back of her head.

"Someone with supernatural powers, called an element!" the boy replied in a fruity tone, "We Arcadians, people of Arca, are currently focused on guarding Earth for now.."

"W-what...? Why..?" Nikki asked, a little worried.

"Earth is most likely in danger as for now." Spencer sighed, "So we are scouting for the first generation of the Elementals, who will help us guard this world from now on.."

"And those 'Elementals', are you guys."

"H-hold on-- this is escalating too quickly. How are we even the Elementals? We're just highschool girls." Kira let go of her shovel, leaning against the orange tree.

"Can we all just talk about this later..?" Aria panted, "I really wanna go home and rest."

"Fine..." Spencer pouted and sat on a nearby bench as he waited for the girls to finish.

•••

"You really didn't bother helping us, did you?" Alessandra sighed as she flung open the door to their dorm.

"Cinnamon~!" Kira ran to her cat, greeting it as she stroked its fur.

"Y-you have pets?!" Spencer backed down, not entering the doorstep.

"Yeah." Nikki smiled as she pet her dog, Snow.

"Is there a problem?" Aria asked before approaching her Pomeranian Dog, named Mochi.

"Did they attack you, Cinnamon..?" Kira pouted at her pet. "Dude, no. Cats start the fights..." Aria twitched.

"But there are two dogs here soo.."

"But still."

"Er.. Ignore them." Nikki and Alessandra turned to Spencer, whose eyes were terrified.

"What the heck, are you having a seizure or something?" Alessandra gained the attention of the girls.

"N-no.. It's just that.. It's not that I hate them or anything.." the blonde boy tried to explain, "I dislike animals..."

"They won't hurt you, geez." Kira went behind Spencer and pushed him into the dorm.

"Now, spill the tea 'bout the weird things you said earlier." Alessandra looked at him intently, as the others awaited for an answer.

"Okay, well.." Spencer began, lifting the box out of his bag, "This is a chest."

They all stared at him blankly.

"Uh, huh.. We can see that..?" Aria folded her arms, raising an eyebrow as she did so.

"I-I wasn't finished!" Spencer hissed.

"Anyways," the boy opened the chest, revealing four blue velvet pouches, "These are called Oracles." he gave each of them a pouch.

"Um.. Okay.."

"He looks like he's promoting like sunflower seeds or something." Alessandra stiffled a laughter.

"T-that's not it!" Spencer twitched.

"Inside those things are the Oracles. They come in a form of a gem." The boy explained and Kira opened the pouch, revealing an ocean blue gem.

"This is starting to get interesting.." her blue eyes shined in interest.

Alessandra opened hers, also showing a gem, but colored in fiery red, "Oh, so we're gonna have different colors then."

"That's right!" Spencer chimed, making Nikki open hers as well, she hummed in amusement as she saw her gem in a color of a nature-like green, "For some reason, I kinda like how these are given to us randomly, yet the color suits our taste."

"It wasn't random, actually. Shall I continue?"

"'Kay." Aria ushered the boy as she gazed at her own Oracle, which was in color of somehow a light blue, the color was really light that it almost seemed clear.

•••

"So basically.."

"Your mother, the Deity of Peace, is on no one's side, since her main job is to preserve peace in Arca. And she saw the four of us in her vision as the Elementals?" Kira looked up from her notes.

"And when we wear this necklace containing the Oracle as a pendant, we are granted elemental magic?" Alessandra added, and Spencer nodded at this.

"What exactly happened to Arca..?" Nikki asked in a worried tone.

"Too much explaining would get us nowhere. I guess we'll have to do it another way.." Spencer sighed, chanting a mysterious spell,

"Arc of time, reveal."

•••

"S-stop! Leave my daughter alone!"

"Father..? Where are you?!"

"Kneel before the greatest dark kingdom, Edolas!"

"E-eh..? Where are we..?" Aria looked around in confusion.

"Please do observe." Spencer reminded.

Around the five was a village, which appeared to be in a middle of a battlefield mode. Bloodlust crowded this terrible scene. Children lost, adults panicked, and soldiers with dark violet capes attacked them.

Soon then, a platoon of soldiers, containing blue capes, charged in as they fight their opponents.

The place was really a battlefield. The cries of lost children and the pleads of begging people, the sounds of the swords clashing against each other.. Those were the only noises you can possibly hear.

"Th-this is completely messed up.." Kira twitched.

"Are we in Arca..?" Nikki looked up to Spencer as she awaited for an answer.

"Yes. Altair Kingdom, to be specific." Spencer nodded, with a faint sad look in his eyes.

"Altair and Edolas are in battle due to the appearance of the six Oracles." He added, "Light, Dark, Water, Nature, Fire and Wind."

"I'm guessing Altair has the Light element, while Edolas has the Dark element?" Aria guessed.

"Correct. The Oracles hold the most powerful elements." The boy informed, "They're battling over the other four Oracles. Which are now in your possession."

"Based on the colors we got, I probably have the Water element." Kira guessed.

"Yes." Spencer nodded, casting another spell, "Arc of Time, reveal."

•••

This time, the place was filled with trees, which made it seem like they were in a forest.

The moonlight shone on the woman, and a teen. The woman had platinum blonde hair, as her pale green eyes stared at the teenager. The teen seemed to be her son.

"Hey.. Is that you..?" Alessandra pointed.

"Yeah. This was when my mother handed me the four Oracles. Aera, the Deity of Peace."

"Go, you must enter the portal to Earth, and find the chosen four." the mother, who was apparently named Aera, stroked her son's hair.

"Mother.. What will become of Arca..?" The past Spencer questioned, as a worried look clouded his eyes.

"We still don't hold any knowledge of this realm. But with those four girls, I am sure Arca will have a future." Area smiled wryly, "For now, all we can possibly do is hope for the best.."

With this, the boy nodded. As his mother cast a spell to create a portal to the so-called Earth.

"Arc of Time, present." The current Spencer chanted, as he, along with the other four had teleported back to the present time.

•••

Silence filled the apartment, the four girls looking down.

"You are the only hope of Earth as for now." Spencer cut the uncomfortable silence.

"I see.." Aria smiled.

"We'll do our best to protect Earth, so please keep up with our mistakes.. " Nikki cheered, having Spencer's eyes widen, "Aren't you a least bit nervous? Confused? Surprised?"

"Of course, we are." Alessandra laughed.

"But after seeing what happened, we can't possibly decline or something. " Kira added, "Besides, you'll train us. So I think there's nothing to be afraid of."

"You guys are surprisingly calm.." Spencer said, "But yes, I will try my best to train you four."

"So, I'm the Fire Elemental, Kira's the Water Elemental, Aria as the Wind, and Nikki's Nature, right?" Alessandra enlabeled on her notebook after the four of them wore the necklace containing the Oracle.

"Yes." Spencer replied, handing the four a ln enormous spellbook, "This holds any information you need."

"Can we start tomorrow..? I don't really have time for magic right now.." Kira laughed, getting her pile of homework.

"Sure. "

"I'm gonna make dinner. " Alessandra stood up from her seat, heading to her own paradise: the kitchen.

"Wait, where are you staying then..?" Aria's eyebrows twitched.

"Oh.. About that.. " Spencer rubbed the back of his head in a geeky way.

"You aren't thinking of staying here, right..?" Aria questioned.

"Err.. My mother dropped me into this world, and I used the money for the tuition so.. "

"Sure, you can stay here!" Kira cheered.

"Hold the frick up, we can't do that. All of us are girls here!" Aria protested, "Besides, you're the one who called him a pervert earlier!"

"He looks harmless though.. " Kira played with her pen. "

"Uh.. I'm not a dog." Spencer added.

"And look, Cinnamon loves him!" The blonde chimed, as she looked at her cat who was being petted by Spencer.

"That doesn't change anything. " Aria frowned.

"I'm still not sure about this.. " Nikki jumped in the conversation.

"If he does anything, then I'll be responsible for it." Kira shrugged.

"He can sleep on the couch." Alessandra peeked from the kitchen.

"What?! You too?!" Aria exclaimed.

"We can't just make him walk on the street like a lost dog, after all, he did teleport all the way here." Alessandra added.

"I think letting him sleep on the couch is a pretty good idea." said Nikki.

"Fine.." Aria sighed in defeat.

"Thank you!" Spencer smiled, "I promise I'll help with different things such as washing the dishes, cleaning, cooking-"

"Hold up, you ain't stealing the kitchen from me." Alessandra spoke.

"Oh, okay then." Spencer didn't argue, and chatted with the others.

The four knew there was a long way ahead of them, it was normal for them to be nervous for what the future holds. But knowing Aera had relied on them, it gave the girls some stimulation to enter a whole new life, which was being the Elementals.
