3 Hawk

Hawk looked at his mother with pain in his eyes but he said nothing. The little boy watched his sister bound over to her like nothing ever happened. Watching her like that made him ease up a little.

This was not the first time any of this happened so he knew it too will pass. Many times he laid in bed wishing to be strong enough to face his father. He hated his mother and sister having to go through everything but he felt helpless.

"Luna." The Snow Leopard look up at him and got off the bed by his feet. Still lost in his thought he followed the others to the dining room.

All traces of burnt food had already been cleaned up and a breakfast lay on the table before them. Biscuits, ham, eggs, pancakes, fruits, and oatmeal lay sporadically on the table. Three chairs suddenly pushed out causing Raven to squeak.

"Thankyou Hawk," Their mothers ice like eyes shined as she smiled. The little boy blushed and just nodded as everyone sat to eat.

Raven talked the whole time about nothing and he stared at his mother. He caught a glimpse of a mark on her neck. It was faint but the bruise of a hand was there. Anger flashed on Hawks eyes but his mother saw and just gave him a look.

He willed himself to calm back down. They had been taught to never let emotions control them. The two were young and yet very powerful. Without control they could hurt someone or even themself.

As Hawk continued to watch her he could tell she was more tense than normal. Every movement of hers was stiff and calculated.

"Mama, are you okay?" He felt something off as could see a quick emotion flash over her face.

"No need to worry little hunter. Mama is fine. In fact I been thinking we should go on a trip,"

Hawk narrowed his eye still not having a good feeling as his mother continued.

"So, I decided you two have never met your godfather and that is going to change." His sisters eyes showed excitement as she started jumping and asking question. He just kept a face of indifference.
