Chapter 10(New Status Quo)

CHAPTER START------
---9 Days since Yang left Orario to train.
The familias, while some may have been reluctant, decided to focus on evacuating their members from the dungeon as the first step of their plan. After everyone was evacuated and the dead were accounted for they began expeditions to Map, investigate and clear the dungeon once more. The Loki and Freya familias took the lead on documenting new types of monsters and where they were found as well as checking the safe zone on Floor 18 and even conduct a combined expedition with the Freya familia to check the lower floors until Floor 38 which proved to be quite a task even with their combined party as they hadn't gotten used to the new types of monsters.
The Hephaestus familia was working overtime to maintain gear and ensure adventurers had the equipment they needed whilst also testing the new monster drops they collected. The logistics members of the guild had quite a task to complete with logging and pricing all the new items.
On this day the dungeon seemed to stabilize and the gods came to an unsettling conclusion. The dungeon has increased in difficulty now as some of the new monsters have many variants and are able to appear on a myriad of floors with their strength, size, and abilities adjusted. New plants have also begun to appear that seem to cause anyone who touches them to fall asleep for a few minutes among many other plants. They knew they would have to organize information for the guild to have at the ready for any teams venturing into the dungeon.
Now more than ever it seemed like support teammates were needed for their buffing and healing. Larger teams would also be more encouraged now which leads to some familias leaning more on the Freya, Loki, and Ganesh familias. For the latter it was for the purpose of having tamers in the event of finding a new monster whilst for the formers it was for one simple truth, they have the strongest teams. If the Loki or Freya expedition teams were on nearby floors in case of emergency you could send someone to get help from them if you couldn't escape on your own power.
It quickly became a common courtesy for these teams to notify the guild before any expedition is launched. This leads to the guild telling other teams where they are heading in case of an emergency. This also came with the quite predictable side effect of turning it into a competition between the Familias expedition teams.
Eventually, things settled down and the safe zone on Floor 18 was filled with adventurers and their greatly overpriced wares once more.
---11 Days since Yang left Orario to train...
A young man with caramel skin could be seen floating on top of a pond in shorts.No, to call it floating would be incorrect. More accurately he was simply laying on the surface of the lake as if it were the solid floor. Wisps of flames danced around his torso as his hands and feet were half-submerged in the water to cool the light burns visible on them. His eyes closed as he thought about his next move.
Yang:'Well it's not much but at least I can walk on water and move through it faster now. I think it's been maybe 10 or 11 days since I came out here so I should get back. This is as strong as I can get without having someone to fight or spar with at least. I guess that means it's time for round 2 with the dungeon then, time to go 'home?' and get my gear' He thinks as a wide grin spreads across his face.
As the young man sat up onto the surface of the water he quickly stood up and walked over to his campsite. His body has become a bit more muscular and well defined but has not become bulky, likely because of his fighting style. The midday sun doesn't seem to bother him in the slightest as he calmly packs his campsite into his inventory and removes a ration to munch on as he begins his journey back to the city.

---What did you think about the walking on water tho, always wondered why Katara couldn't just run across the water instead of the dramatic water propulsion they would do. Guess he channeled his inner joestar for that one huh.
---When realizing the chapter-length this will likely drop with chapter 11 either later that day or simultaneously because of how short it is.
---Also yes the Freya and Loki familial main teams are forming a bit of a rivalry but unless it concerns the MC I won't be changing them aside from the changes he makes because of the butterfly effect.
---I changed the difficulty of the dungeon because the Level to Floor number to difficulty scaling didn't make any sense to me in the anime or wiki so fuck all that I'm making it all harder and setting it so LV5 Ais party cant pass the floor 38 with Freya Familia help because of the new monsters and they tried to do it in 1 expedition.
---They are strong enough to pass but some new creatures have the surprise factor so beating them perfectly first try is unlikely. Like how would they know fire heals iron golems and lightning heals gelatinous cubes or black pudding dissolves anything but stone on contact. With practice, they can get further without needing to level up.
---This encounter(Matchup) style is similar to what we see in JoJo or Hunter X Hunter. Just because your numbers are higher than the monster doesn't mean you win. If all you can do is use fire then sorry buddy a level 1 iron golem will murder your lv 5 self because fire heals it. If you can't fight in water then I guess you should do as super Mario players and skip the water levels. This was touched on when the chapter mentioned that larger more versatile teams were being made.
---The Loki familia team will be fine as they have a bit of everything but just because they are the main high LV team we see in the anime doesn't mean they have plot armor.
