A Story From The Past.

"Yes I do, And I was intending to accept you from the start, you see, when Elemental powers started manifesting, the first five to ever exist were fire, water, wind, earth, and lightning. Every other 'Element' is derived from those five, But some kinds are there own thing, But those five 'Elements' being the core 'Elements' were made from the five 'Elemental Spirits'. since then every One Hundred years there is a chosen user that has the ability to control five 'Elements'." Eluded the Director.

"W-Wait, What?..." I responded in shock.

Nine Hundred Years Ago….

"Hey Saito, Whatcha doin' there?" said a girl as you could hear wind rustling leaves.

"Come here quick!" Said a young boy named Saito as he waved his hand to the girl to come over quickly, "H-Huh?, What is it?" Answered the girl.

"Well, I'm not really sure, But it looks like a little salamander, it was drowning in that river over there, But if anything we gotta take him to my house for him to cool down, Salamanders aren't supposed to be in low temperatures." Answered the Boy.

After this young boy named Soshikabe Saito had taken this little creature that had looked like a Salamander into his house, he quickly put it near a fire to cool it down, he then gave it some ham, and put him over one of his pillows so It could sleep.

The Salamander was really exhausted, he ended up sleeping till the next morning.

"A-Ahh! You're finally awake! It's good to see you're doing ok. You sure sleep a lot, you slept a whole twenty-four hours! But it's time to put you back where I found you." Young Saito said as he patted the little Salamander.

"Raaaaaaaa." Said the Salamander in response, "Uh, W-What's wrong? Y-you don't wanna leave?" Asked young Saito as the salamander got closer to his hand.

"W-What's wrong." Said Asami as she rubbed her eyes, "Well, this little Salamander apparently does not want to leave the house-" Explained Saito as he suddenly stopped, "wait... WHAT ARE YOU DOING IN MY HOUSE!?" He shouted as he realized the situation he was in.

"Nothing, I was just giving you some company." She said as she stuck her tongue at him.

"W-WHAT, DON'T GIVE ME THAT COMPANY IN BED SH*T-" Saito ranted, "Ah forget it, There are other things to worry about right now." He calmed down as he slowly rubbed his forehead.

"So what are you thinking of doing?" Asked Asami full of curiosity, "Well, I guess for now I will keep it- Wait, it's a girl…" Explained Saito.

What young Saito did not know was what this little salamander was the "Fire Spirit" which was the sibling of the other four "Elemental Spirits", before Saito miraculously found the little creature, In disgust, people would abusively kick the poor Salamander, Until there was a day were a bunch of kids took the Salamander and threw it in a river that flowed all the way towards where Saito lived.

After a few days of trying to get the Salamander back into the wilderness, He gave up after all of his attempts due to some unknown feeling he had deep inside of him, It felt like some deep sense of justice. To him it was currently unknown, But helping this small creature would change his life in more ways than one. After deciding on keeping the Salamander, He named her Hestia, Just like the Goddess of Fire.

One day coming back from shopping...

"Hey Asami, Can you help me here with these-" Shouted Young Saito as he suddenly heard a loud explosion from a nearby village.

"What the?" He mumbled in suspense as another loud explosion

"Hey, What is it-" Said Asami as she came out of Saito's house as she didn't find him.

He dropped his groceries and ran as fast as he could with Hestia on his head, As he ran closer to the explosions he felt a sudden change in temperature on his skin.

"Wh-What is going on here?" He said as he came to a stop in front of a burning building.

"S-Saito, Th-There is a man in there that suddenly just burst into flames!" Said one of the residents of the village, "B-Burst into flames?" He answered as he was bewildered from what he had heard.

As he was lost in his thoughts with no idea on what to do, Hestia jumped off of his head and dropped to the ground and started to crawl close to the building.

"H-Hestia? W-Whats wrong?" Asked Saito as he could see that Hestia was being drawn to something inside of the building.

As Hestia got closer to the building, A large piece of concrete fell off of the building as Saito could only see the large shadow above them. When he came to realize what was happening he quickly reacted.

"H-HESTIAAAA!" He shouted as he put his arm out in an attempt to reach the little Salamander, His bottled up emotions and thoughts came out as his pupils rapidly changed from jet black, to a fierce orange.

With a fierce glow, his extended arm started to release fire.

"W-What?" He said as he could feel his bright red skin burn, "S-SAITO, A-ARE YOU OKAY!?" Shouted one of the residents of the village, "Y-Yeah, I'm doing okay- I-I have to go." He said as he took Hestia with him as he eluded in his confusion.

After that unprecedented event, people started to manifest powers that resembled natural "Elements" that appear in the world. Once he started to handle his new Fire abilities, The other four "Elemental Spirits" rewarded for his courageous feat with the "Blessing of the Spirits", The Spirit of Earth Gaea, The Spirit of Water Aquarius, The Spirit of Lightning Raijin, and The Spirit of Wind Gale, He got there respective 'Elements' and was allowed to communicate with them.

No one knew where little Hestia came from, Even less did they know who the 'Spirits' were. Eventually, Saito started to use his 'Elements' to help his society to a greater future, The Great Spirits then gave their blessing to a certain person every one-hundred years.

"And that's how 'Elements' came about in this world, young ones." Said the Director as he ended his tale.

"Woaaaaaaaah." Misaki, Jonetsu and I gasped in total awe.

"S-So let me get one thing straight, A-Am I like this kind of chosen one then?" I asked as I scratched my cheek in confusion.

"You could refer to yourself as so, Not just anyone gets this kind of blessing, Only those that have the right determination and resolve are the ones that commonly become the wielders of the 'Five Element Blessing'." Explained the Director, "So there are different kinds of blessings?" Asked Jonetsu as the air tensed up.

"Ohoho, Aren't you the curious boy? Yes there are different kinds of 'Blessings' but there are also 'Curses', But that is something for another time." Said the Director in a way that didn't seem like a good idea to try and continue that conversation.

"Well, In any case, that means that you are great Zakou-san!" Misaki smiled.

"U-Uh Y-Yeah I G-Guess so…" I mumbled, "S-She is way too close." I thought to myself as my pupils slowly changed from light gray, to a fierce red.

"These young ones are wonderful, they will become great 'Guards', But Im most sure young Zakou has the greatest luck out of all of them, if it weren't for his body being trained as an assassin he would have died before he had gotten to the infirmary, the amount of voltage that Lightning attack he discharged was off the charts, that was enough to kill maybe even 100 people all together, but I think this wasn't just an act of his body, Could it really be…" The Director thought to himself.

As we chatted with each other the Director took his leave to let us be as I rested. After several minutes Ogosawara came in as he slammed the door open.

"EEK, O-Ogosawara, H-Hey, aren't you supposed to be in bed resting?" I said as I was intimidated.

"I didn't have as much damage as you did, your body was practically fried, and I have a great healing rate thanks to my Dragon Physique- Also, Just call me Tatsuya, Let's leave the formalities 'Zakou'." Said Tatsuya as his eyes turned into those of a reptile once again, almost as if in an attempt to force me to.

"Well, If you say so, 'Tatsuya'." I said as my eyes blacked out and quickly went from Zakou, To an assassin no one wanted to know about, "Well, Either way it's good to hear your doing good now, But I'm gonna make one thing clear, The day we fight again I will win, I will tame these powers, hone them, and beat you with them fair and square." I implied with a grin.

"Yeah whatever you say, But don't ever expect me to go easy on you, and anyways I think we both know if it weren't for us being in this 'Test' I would have lost-" He said as I stopped him mid-way.

"Oh no I don't think so, the entire time I was using my Body Dislocation-" I said until Jonetsu stopped. (A lot of cutting off, Jesus.)

"Pffffff, YOU WERE WHAT? ARE YOU OUT OF YOUR MIND?!? YOUR PARENTS WOULD KILL YOU IF THEY KNEW ABOUT THIS." Jonetsu shouted after he spit all of the water he was drinking on Misaki's face.

"JONETSU, YOU SPIT WATER ALL OVER MY FACE." Misaki shouted in anger.

"S-Sorry..." He answered, "Oh crap, I didn't get to ask that 'guys' name." Jonetsu thought out loud.

"Who?" Misaki and I asked in curiosity, "Well, When Misaki fell unconscious after her battle you ended up pretty beaten up, So when it was my match this blond guy kept an eye on you, But I don't think it matters now, I didn't even get to see his match or got his name." He explained.

"O-Oh, I-I see…" Answered Misaki almost in disappointment.

"Well, I will wait for you guys outside." Said Tatsuya as he made his way out the door.

We chatted for a few minutes until Katsumi-Sensei came to give each one of us a quick checkup to make sure we were doing okay before we left home. Once our checkups were done we made our way out of the academy.

"Well it was a pleasure meeting you guys, I will see you around or maybe even at the Academy, I gotta head home." Tatsuya said as he waved his arms at us.

"Yeah, See you around, And most certainly in the Academy." I implied with a smile, "Yeah yeah, Whatever you say." He arrogantly answered, "Byeeee!" Waved Misaki, "See ya man." Said Jonetsu with no facial expression.

He made his way down the street and slowly faded off into the distance. After he left I felt a great sense of relief for some reason, and as I sighed, from one moment to another I started to slowly levitate.

"Wh-Whaaa? H-Hey Jonetsu look!" I called out with a gasp.

"Woaaaaaaaah." Gasped Misaki in total amazement.

"Well well well, would you look at that, It was about time you unlocked your flight ability, I was starting to think you were impotent of it, I'm assuming that you achieved the full extent of your abilities after you match with Tatsuya." Elucidated Jonetsu with a smirk.

"W-Well I have to go now, It's getting pretty late and I gotta head home and eat, See you around Zakou!" She exclaimed as she also went down the road looking back as she waved at us.

"U-Uh Yeah, S-See you around!" I waved back with a smile.

"Did she forget about me…" Jonetsu waved back in disappointment, "Either way, Now that you can fly we can make it home faster, But make sure to take it slow, It's hard to quickly get the knack of learning how to control your speed." He explained as he slowly floated into the air.

"Y-Yeah!" I answered with a thumbs up.

We both made our way home so we could wait for our results, which I knew I was accepted but my score was still important to me. But I still can't believe I'm going to EAC, Even less believe that I have five 'Elements'... This is too much for me to take in on my first day… Once I get home I'm going to eat and go straight to bed.

Half an Hour later,

"I'm home!" I yelled as I got home taking my keys out of the door, "Welcome back!" They answered in unison.

"He-Hey, What's with that arm?" Asked my Dad as he came to the front door.

"Ugh it's a long story, I will explain at dinner, I'm exhausted…" I answered with a sigh.
