1 1200 Years in a Void

"Where... where am I"

In the expansive empty darkness, the only thing that could be seen was the purple glowing figure of a semi-muscular young man. This person's name is Lin Dong and was famous gunmen and swordsmen. He was a powerful commander in the array foundation corp. which was part of the Azure Wind Empire. Lin Dong was famous for his gunslinging skill and his cultivation speed. While on a mission inside of an ancient ruin trying to find a lost array formation, Lin Dong found a powerful cultivation technique called the Divine Void Cultivation Technique. Lin Dong's cultivation soared but he ended up dying an unusual heaven tribulation and ended up in this black hole where he has been asleep for the past 1000 years. During these 1000 years, Lin Dong has gone through many samsara's but whenever he passed one he always ended up in this empty black space. But he never gave up and he passed 1000 years worth of life.

Lin Dong reached the 1000 years mark and came back to the void where and oppressive voice suddenly booms through the void directed towards him "Your soul has gained recognition of the Void of Samsara due to your perseverance of during the 1000 year trial. Due to your recognition, you will be allowed to reincarnate into the closest habitable planet in 200 years but before then you have to gain an understanding of the void and its 3 elements to perfect understanding and learn the Void Soul Martial Arts.

200 years later, Lin Dong yawns "Finally I fully comprehended the Void Soul Martial Arts and got a perfect understanding of the 3 elements."

The disembodied voice spoke, "Congratulations, in 5 minutes you will be transported on to the planet called earth, do you remember everything about this new world?"

Lin Dong sighed, he knew the voice wanted him to repeat everything again "Earth is a planet without Qi, but people are born with a weapon spirit and an innate talent to the elements. At 10 years old, kids are finally allowed to comprehend the essence of the elements. Right now I was gaining an understanding of the element itself which is different from the planetary essence. The stages of innate talent are white, yellow, orange, green, blue, violet, red, crimson, and gold is the best innate talent. Stages of elemental understanding are lowest, low, mid, high, completion, perfect, legacy, and origin. On earth, there are 5 main species humans, elven, half-beast, merfolk, and demons. Each species has its own territory and within each territory are different empires."

The voice spoke "Good job, these 200 years didn't go to waste. The void wanted me to gift you this, the void stone, it is an infinite storage item and due to its connection to the void you are able to borrow some of its power, but once you use it once you have to wait another 1 year to use it again. Now absorb this and jump into the portal behind you."

Lin Dong grabbed the black stone in the air and absorb it into his body, it disappeared from his hand and appeared inside of Lin Dong's left eye.

Lin Dong then turned around to see a black portal, but before he entered he turned around to look at the black space he has stayed in for the last 1200 years of his soul and shouted: "F**K YOU VOID, I DID THINGS TO YOUR SISTER!" He then jumped into the portal and left to Earth.

In the void, an old man appeared out of nowhere and started laughing "I think I understand why the void chose this person, even after 1200 years his will wasn't broken and he somehow hasn't grown in maturity at all, he literally stayed the same throughout this entire time."

Of course, the old man didn't know that Lin Dong actually changed a lot and his mind is more complex than he could imagine.
