6 Chapter 6: Bloodline

"H.. How did you do that?" Asuno asks stunned at what she just saw. Irano needed to sound clueless so as not to alert his mother. "I just wanted to move the ground like I've seen Dad do it, I just felt like I could do it." "Wait here," she says. 

Moments later she comes out with a cup of water and places it on the ground. Looking at me with slightly narrowed eyes she tells me "Do what you just did but with the water in this cup." 

'Why does she look angry?' He questions internally but still does as she asked. Taking a kneeling position quickly and striking upwards the water flys out of the cup. He then slashes his hand downwards in a sharp motion aiming at the same tree as before.

The water acting like a blade cuts a large gash in the tree. Looking back at his mother he can now see that she looks concerned. "Irano, Do you think you can do that again? Only this time try and use the air around you." 

Attempting to keep up the appearance of a confused six year old he asks, "Mom, What's going on you're starting to scare me." Hoping to placate her son she answers calmly. 

"Everything is fine sweetie, Just please try." 

Nodding his head seemingly reluctantly, He stands there, Taking a deep breath. He then quickly drops into a bow stance striking out, His hand in the shape of a claw. In front of him, a gust of wind blows toward the barely standing tree finally knocking it over. Looking over at his mother he can see she is now in deep thought.

'I didn't want to believe it but he is the avatar somehow. But that doesn't make any sense, it's literally impossible. There hasn't been an avatar in almost a hundred years, And even if another avatar was to be born they would come from the water tribes.' She thinks to herself.

'Something else has to be responsible for this.' As she thinks on this more she looks towards her son who is looking at her worried. seeing this she goes up to him and hugs him hoping to wash away his worries tells him. "You did amazing, I'm so proud of you. Don't worry I will tell you about my thoughts soon. But first, I need to speak with your father."

Later that day when Nawaki returned home from an important meeting, Leaving a shadow clone to do his paperwork for him. Entering into his home he can see his wife waiting for him. 

Seeing her concerned expression he quickly asks."What's wrong." Asuno answers "We need to talk about Irano And don't worry he is fine." Making their way into Nawaki's home office to speak so Irano can't hear them.

Starting as soon as the door closes, "He isn't just a fire bender like I thought." Asuno says abruptly, Explaining what happened during their training.

From the stories he's been told about her homeland, he knows that this shouldn't be possible for someone to possess more than one ability. "So are you saying he is the avatar? Your homeland's savior?" He asks questioningly. She then proceeds to explain to him how it is impossible.

Thinking about the information he just received about how the avatar line works he has an idea. "Maybe it's because of the chakra coils in his body. We'd have to do some tests to be sure, but let's save that for tomorrow it's getting late."

The next day Irano can be outside seen with his mother and father. "What's going on, shouldn't you be working Dad? And mom you still haven't told me what's going on." He said sounding annoyed at them at this point.

"Show me what you showed your mother yesterday," Nawaki states giving Irano a look as if telling him not to question it. After doing the same thing he did yesterday his father hummed in thought.

"Did you see? The air he used was not as strong as the other three." He asks his wife questioningly, she nods in agreement. "Okay, Irano I'm going to show you how to do a fire jutsu, do as I do, And Don't use your bending!" Nawaki then shows him a few hand signs for a C-rank fire jutsu breathing out fire.

Irano follows the hand signs but when breathing out nothing happens. "Huh, I can feel the chakra moving but the fire won't come out." He tells his father. "Your mother says your bending is stronger than someone your age should have. Now bend fire until I tell you to stop."

After bending for the last two hours the fire Irano was throwing out decreased in power significantly but he kept going. Seeing a change he says to himself 'That should be around the amount of chakra someone of our lineage should have at this age.'

"Stop! It's as I thought, The chakra in your body is working in tandem with your bending, Empowering it. Your water, fire, and earth are also stronger than your wind, It could mean you hold an affinity with those three, here see if you can send your chakra into this piece of paper." He explained handing a piece of chakra paper to Irano.

Grabbing hold of the chakra paper he concentrated, He could feel the chakra inside him moving, Rushing back and forth through his coils, Slowing his breathing he could feel his chakra follow suit moving to the rhythm of his breathing, pulsing at every beat of his heart.

Willing it to move up his arm through his fingers and into the chakra paper it does as he wants. The chakra paper in his hand splits into three one burning into ash, one crumbling into dust, and the last getting soaked. 'So I do have control over my chakra, then why doesn't my jutsu work?' questions for later.'

'Damn am I smart' Nawaki thought to himself. "You are the perfect blend of me and your mother. Now onto why your jutsu isn't working, you can obviously use it, Hmm. I know next you wi..."

Nawaki gets cut off by his son. "Stop please, tell me what's going on, isnt this normal," he asks again hoping his father and mainly his mother would finally tell him about what he wants to know.

Looking at her husband she speaks out. "He's right, the other tests can wait. Let's head inside this is going to be a long story."

Finally told you how his bending works with chakra. It's basically a new kekkei genkai. I'll talk more about him not being able to use ninjutsu at a later date. Maybe after Mom's back story, maybe after he graduates the academy idk yet.
