6 Just Another Day

"Where were you?! You are 3 hours late! Do you know how many chores are pending now?" Was my mother's greeting as soon as she saw me enter the house. I sighed a heavy sigh and lied "Didn't you know mom? There was an attack on the school (true) and the teachers dismissed us (also true). I and my friends hid in the hills until the threat was gone. I am sorry, we lost track of time. I will complete my chores now." Mom cast a suspicious glance at me and then shooed me away with her hand, picking her phone up(to, presumably, call my friends' mothers).

~My Room~

Once in my room, I changed into clean clothes and settled down on my bed, thinking about what has happened. Sighing, I closed my eyes and focused on seeing the future. After seeing what we would be having for dinner, I stopped, bored. Then, I browsed the internet for earth-related themes, suits and such, but got nothing that caught my eye. Giving up after an hour, I practised my element(only after completing my chores), in my locked room, and then, I went down for dinner(I saw correct! We did have meatloaf for dinner!)

Then I fell asleep on my bed, completely forgetting to check my phone.

A/N: I am so so so sorry that I didn't update earlier! My school is just piling work on us and well, I have a LOT of pending work to complete. So, I know his update is short, but it's kind of a filler chapter.

A little peak in the next chapter to keep you in suspense (yes, I know I am very nice):-

'"I know what you are!" A voice spoke from behind us. Startled, I whipped around only to see…'
