1 The Beginning of Everything
I wonder since when all it starts. All of the reasons why I keep trying hard, trying hard to grab that sad and yet beautiful light. Before that day, I just live a normal life, doing a normal things that a teenager would do. I'm doing the same things over and over again almost without ups and down. All I does are going to university, chatting with friends, studying, and all kinds of things that a good student would do. But, that day really change all my life. The day of fate when I meet her.
Let's see... It was started from one years ago.

"Where am I?".
That is the first thing I asked. Because I should have been sleeping in my bedroom. But, now what I am see is a dark forest, full of withered old willow tree, full of red colour...painting this world while giving a bloody smell, an old castle covered with jet black colour, and a giant full moon as the only lantern.
Surrounded with this kind of horror scenery I panicked, my breathing rates started rising, I feel palpitation in my heart, cold sweats begin to appear in my skin, and my body are full of tremor. The only thing I know and what my body screams is...
"This place is dangerous".
Instantly, I turn my body into the opposite direction of that castle and I started to run in attempt to leave this place. All I think is that I must leave this place or my life will be in danger. Therefore, I was running so hard just as my survival depends on it.

How many hours since then. Is it one hours?no...maybe it was 2 hours ago?or perhaps it was longer than that. I can't counting times any longer and it feels that I have been running for eternity. Finally, I arrived at the barren land where there are no trees in the meadow. Feeling safe, I stopped and rest my tired body. Suddenly, I feel a pair of eyes staring at me. In reflect I stare back and then...
I met her
A girl with long flowing silver hair, beautiful red eyes that shines brightly in the middle of night, white pale skin as if she never see the sun. Her face is beautiful and yet hide an impression of sadness and loneliness, her look is strong yet fragile. She gives an aura of intimidation like a king but also convey her fragile side. Suddenly she opened her mouth, a crystal clear voice like a bell comes from her small cherry lips.
"Why are you not afraid of me?"
I'm surprised, after all, why she's asking me that question as if she's a terrifying being that can bring terror to the world.
"In the first place why should I afraid of you?" I answered her lightly.
Her eyes widened in surprise for a moment but instantly turn back into her sad face.
"Because I...I...I...am a monster. I am the lord of this desolate place, my hands has been soiled by countless live and blood, I am the one who has been cursed by living eternally at the expense of another people's life. I...am a vampire." she tell me with her voice full of sadness.
I was surprised, I didn't believe that the lord of this creepy place is this girl. I mean, she's someone who doesn't look like can kill countless live.After a while, not hearing my reply, her expression turn into self mocking smile.
"After all I was cursed isn't?" while saying that a line of tears emerge from her eyes
Suddenly I feel and urge to embrace her. I feel that my black and white world has become colourful. At this moment I finally feeling alive not like a walking that that live without ambition. I want to make her happy, I want to replace her sadness with happiness, I want to protect her, I want to free her from her curse, I want...to see her smile.
My body moves to her, I open my hands and embrace her in my arms. I stroked her head gently and carefully as if she is the most fragile thing in the world while saying...
"No matter what you say, I'm not afraid of you so...please don't cry"
She was startled and widen her eyes in disbelieve. For the first time in her life she found a glimpse of fire that warming her frozen ice heart. For the first time, she found a person who is not afraid of her. For the first time, she found a person who will hug her while not disgusted of her body that has been soaked in blood. For the first time in her life...she shed a tears of happiness.
"I hope that the time is frozen for forever." that is the only though that she have right now.
The time has passed for a long time. The girl finally stopped crying and I also free her from my embrace. I finally see her face from close now her face was decorated with faint red colour in her cheek and she shyly says...
"um... thank you very much."
"well...it's not a problem" I answer her with a big wide smile in my face
How long is it since I smile sincerely with my heart. After all, in my colourless world I can only be a hypocrite, my smile is fake, my laugh is fake, and every emotion I shows is fake. Finally, I can express my truest heart without a piece of mask that has been conceal myself for a long long time.
"um...can we chat for a moment, after all I didn't have a friend to talk with me." she asked me with her hopeful eyes
"yeah...of course and after all I'm your friend isn't it" I answered her
"um.." she smiled while nodded at me
We talked for a long long time and I also told her that I'm not a person of this world and I suddenly appear in here. She told me that it is an extremely rare phenomenon called space drifted, an occasion that is when a person from another space was transferred randomly for a period of time because of dimensional space turbulence.
"It looks like our chat will comes to the end"She told me while giving a sad smile
"What do you mean?"I was confused
"As I said before, you was temporary drifted to this world because of space turbulence. Which mean, you will go back to your place after a while. It is a short but valuable time, you came and left my world like a gust of wind. For the first time in my life I feel happiness. I really want to stay with you for eternity, and I hoped that the time will be frozen. It looks like I spent all of my luck in this life just to meet you but I will never and ever regret it. No matter what happen in the future no matter how harsh the future is I will stay alive so that I can always remember this short memory of you and me. I can't express how grateful am I for meeting with you, the only that I can say is...thank you"
She was smiling but with a mixture of happiness and sadness, a line of tears comes from her eyes. I wanted to say to her that I also wanted to stay with her. I want to express how she also changed my world, but...I can't say that because of sudden drowsiness attacked me. At this time I realised about what she means. I know that my time has come and I will go back. But, I want to know her name before I left. With my final power I successfully squeezed a word from my mouth.
"What...is...your...name?"
Before I completely lose consciousness I hear a word.
"My name is... Lycoris von Gladiola"
