Honestly, I probably shouldn't even be writing this chapter, since it is currently 12:30 am and I have a class at 8:00 am, but sleep is for the WEAK

Anyway, here's that chapter you ordered~~

...

what do you mean it's cold?

it's not like this is a pizza tho. how can an electronic literary work even get cold?

...

yes I know it's been 3 days, so? why would that make this cold?

...

so what if It's been sitting out there for three days? it's 30°C outside!

(86°F for all you "Americans." tell me, if "America" is real, why can't you point it out on a map, HUH?)

Hahahaha... "American"

Sweden's Top 100 DJ – Th3as!

Right now, all eyes in the joint and every camera lens within a five-mile radius were glued to the already dazzling main stage.

Whether it was the folks in the flesh or those tuning in worldwide, they were all hit with a wave of excitement that made their nerves dance a conga line.

"He's quite magnetic..." In Miaoyi's book, the dude on stage right then possessed an aura and stage presence that'd make even your grandma do a double take. His charisma was dialled up to 11, and he had the crowd right where he wanted them.

The DJ's entrance was followed by a suspenseful buildup, and then he hit the decks.

Out came the music, with sharp vocals and a voice that could melt butter at the North Pole. It was clear the DJ was dropping one of his killer tracks right from the get-go. The live cheers at that moment could've shattered windows, they were that intense.

But amidst the uproar, Miaoyi stood there, poker-faced. No dancing, no head-bobbing. Instead, she went for the "insert fingers into ears" move...

Next thing you know...

"Ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

"..."

A symphony of indecipherable screams echoed around her, with fans not even bothering to call out the DJ's name or sing along. They just opened their mouths and unleashed a primal scream that could wake the dead. Suddenly, Miaoyi felt the heat of these die-hard fans.

It was like they were attempting to defy the laws of sound, especially some of the ladies whose vocal cords were in a fierce battle with a Boeing 747.

Even with her ears barricaded, Miaoyi could feel the seismic sound waves reverberating all around her. It was as if the very air was doing the tango with the noise.

While everyone else was pushing the boundaries of sound, these folks seemed to be rewriting the rulebook on noise itself!

Now, let's check in on Qiuying by her side.

-Awkward Dancing-

Miaoyi: "..."

Well, at least Qiuying wasn't going full-blown banshee, but she was certainly tapping into her inner wild child.

Miaoyi didn't want to harsh her vibe, so after a bit of ear conditioning, she gradually pulled her fingers away.

Suddenly, the music flowed into her ears, getting crisper and clearer, giving her that "live experience" sensation.

But...

As the clock ticked away, Miaoyi's brow took on an increasingly puzzled expression, until twenty minutes had passed, and fans had come and gone in waves. Finally, she let out a soft sigh.

"This sounds terrible. Is this supposed to be thrilling?"

Yep, that was Miaoyi's initial takeaway!

She hadn't found anything in this live show that got her groove going or her heart racing.

At first, she was excited about the prospect of non-Chinese music and foreign electronic artists. The common belief was that international electronic music was in a league of its own, light years beyond the Chinese stuff.

But now, it seemed that wasn't the case...

Sure, the beats were a tad more intense than the usual Chinese electronic tracks, but Miaoyi couldn't connect with it. She wasn't raving about it.

It was still mostly about vocals, just a tad more intricate and polished. The core concept hadn't changed much.

This not only left Miaoyi somewhat bummed but also made her realize she might've overhyped it. She'd assumed foreign electronic music was the holy grail, far superior to what China had to offer. If that were the case, it'd be party time. But it turned out she'd set the bar too high; it was more like a theoretical wish that just didn't pan out...

Things couldn't have been worse.

Miaoyi discreetly cast a glance at Qiuying, who was still energetically enjoying herself amidst the crowd. She took a moment to reflect and concluded, "It appears that breaking free from the restrictions of the Chinese electronic music scene should be my top priority."

In the midst of the electronic music festival, Miaoyi clearly felt like an outsider compared to the exuberant crowd surrounding her.

Two hours had swiftly passed, and it was worth noting that the live performance was officially limited to a maximum of two hours per the regulations. However, not many DJs adhered strictly to this timeframe; it was more of a loose guideline.

Qiuying was having a great time, and following the performance, she engaged in a post-performance analysis with Miaoyi.

Miaoyi simply maintained her smile and kept her responses concise.

The performance had concluded in this manner, but the conclusion of the Swedish DJ's set didn't signal the end of the electronic music festival.

He had merely been the opening act, and this event was slated to last for a full three days, offering an extensive celebration of electronic music.

"By the way, Miaoyi, are you interested in catching the next performances today?" Qiuying inquired as they followed The Rex through a designated corridor.

"You're still up for more?" Miaoyi's initial response manifested as a twitch of her lips.

"No, I was just asking because I actually enjoyed this more than I thought I would," Qiuying playfully batted her eyelashes and even licked her lips as she spoke. "If you'd like to watch, I'll gladly join you. While their work may not match up to yours, Miaoyi, just this atmosphere alone has the power to stir people's emotions."

"Let's put that on hold," Miaoyi expressed her reluctance.

Having been exposed to the thriving electronic music scene on Earth in her previous life, Miaoyi possessed substantial knowledge of electronic music. "Instead of that, let's focus on preparing for tomorrow's performance. We should aim to captivate the audience and show them what authentic electronic music is all about."

"I concur. I've always felt that, in comparison to your tracks, they still have quite a way to go. What's truly miraculous, and also somewhat intimidating, is how rapidly you climbed the charts, especially considering your relatively short time in the industry," The Rex contributed from the side, and his demeanour indicated that he wasn't being dishonest in any capacity.

This comment caught Miaoyi slightly off guard. "It still feels strange to hear you say that. Alright, I'll take your assessment into account for the first part... though I hesitate to call it a miracle."

Silently, Miaoyi thought to herself, 'The creations of those renowned figures from her past life were the true miracles.'

As they made their way to the dressing room, the three of them delved into a detailed discussion of their plan. While The Rex's influence was somewhat limited at the moment, he occasionally offered valuable suggestions.

The agenda for the upcoming days revolved around rehearsing, preparing meticulously, and fine-tuning their synchronization for the performance scheduled for the following day.

Coincidentally, top executives from East Records were also present in the dressing room area, providing Miaoyi with an opportunity to confer with them regarding their strategy for tomorrow.

Miaoyi recalled that, if her memory served her right, her boss had previously made a rather formal appearance on the Ultra stage. What Miaoyi found rather peculiar was that, even though he had evolved into a somewhat dishevelled middle-aged man, he still boasted a substantial following of loyal electronic music enthusiasts.

Perhaps this was what they referred to as being an "OG"...

As per their exaggerated self-praise, he had also been quite the charismatic heartthrob back in the day, though Miaoyi couldn't entirely buy into it. Nevertheless, when excluding other factors, particularly in terms of knowledge and experience within the realm of stage performance, he undeniably stood out as the most qualified individual she knew.

Miaoyi's own performance was looming, scheduled for the morning of the following day...
