13 Chapter 13: Recessive

Eli watched Mo enter the library, feeling his heart about to explode in his chest. He ran across campus when Rose was able to see Blaze and Mo leaving the Parker building on the surveillance cameras. He camped outside Blaze’s dorm, thinking that would be where the guy would head to first. He might’ve lost a few years of his life as the fear that gripped his throat.

All he saw was Mo beside a supervillain who had set an apartment building filled with people on fire earlier that day. Blaze could just as easily kill Mo in that time it took Eli to get to them. And Mo looked at this boy with trust, having no idea what Blaze Hart really was. Eli could only run, wishing he had super speed or could control time.

Blaze stared him down blankly. Eli waited for him to make the first move. Rose had the suit on standby for him. This would be messy.
