11 Chapter 11: Validate

It was Blaze Hart.

“I knew it,” Eli muttered before sending an electric blast at the other guy.

It threw Blaze across the room and he collided with a dresser. Blaze was only down temporarily before he was getting to his feet. The sparks from the blast clung to him. They traveled to his hands and absorbed into his skin.

Eli’s eyes widened, shocked. “No way.”

Blaze didn’t reply and threw the largest gust of fire. It enveloped Eli in a red, hot cocoon. He tried to move past it but it tightened around him like a snake coiling. Rose warned, “Heat rising to dangerous levels and can disable suit’s protective features. Move away from heat immediately.”

Eli countered, “I’m trying.”

Electrical blasts were a bust. He didn’t want to give the guy more power than he already had. He could manipulate temperature with his suit but he needed a water source.

“Rose, activate magnetic feature, now!”

“Magnetic force activated.”
