83 The Tower of The Twilight Lich (Part 1)

George smiled coldly and used his cloak of invisibility. He remembered that normal mobs in Minecraft won't attack you, well.. that would happen if you are invisible. But it won't work if you had something that could show your position.

He also drunk a potion of invisibility, to make sure that they didn't attack him while he went inside the lich tower.

"Haha! That guy must be wearing something, so the mobs still rushed to him, even with the effect of invisibility potion!" George wondered why this guy was also chased by these mobs. He then thought of a possibility.

ACCESSORIES!

"He must have brought his dimensional ring or something like that! Hence why they are chasing him too!"

And the idea behind wearing something, in this case.. an accessory that could be seen while you were invisible is also valid, but.. it still a mystery why do these mobs chasing him around. Even if you hide it behind something, they still could detect you.

The only reason behind this strange phenomenon is probably because their AI was supposed to follow any "players" and this includes the "players" who drunk a potion of invisibility while wearing armor.

Su Ling ran away from the bunch of zombies and looked at the other bunch besides her. She frowned when she saw that there's a flying ring there.

"There!" She punched the man before her, but he avoided it. "This is bad!" Su Ling realized that if he counters attacked her, she would be f*cked. So, she retreated a little.

She then ran to the stairs near her. She wanted to not get too close to him. At least, until his potion of invisibility's effect is gone.

Su Ling frowned when she looked at the zombies that swarmed at her. Fortunately, they are kinda slow. The only threats are spiders. "What is this place?! Why is in here so dark.. and there are too many monsters in here!". Then a few numbers of skeletons fell from the second floor. It almost made her scream.

She pushed the skeletons, so they fell to the first level, where the guy with invisibility still fighting the zombies. "Why? Why these monsters suddenly appeared out of nowhere? I certainly saw that there are no skeletons in there for a moment!"

Because of the falling skeletons, the guy fleetingly saw that she went upstairs. He also followed her to the opposite stairs in this palace.

Seeing that the guy followed her to the second floor, she frowned and crawled through the wall. She luckily came upon a room. And decided to hide into this room. The zombies, skeletons, and spiders that tried to chase her out can't get inside, because they hit themselves unintentionally. So, they were angry at themselves and tried to kill each other.

Su Ling was pretty relieved that she came to upstairs before him, so she can hide first. And the mobs that followed her could be killed easily. No.. it was very easy because they attacked each other right now.

The most fortunate thing in this lich tower is the fact that they were so dark and was hard to see. So it was going to be hard for that guy to come up to her.

While catching her breath, she realized that she was inside of a library. She grabbed a book and tried to read it in the darkness, but she couldn't see anything.

She then decided to put the book back, but she saw a ladder that will bring her to another floor. She placed the book inside of her dimensional ring and used the ladder.

The room there is on par to the library, not too big. But.. wasn't considered as small too. Unfortunately, it was only a dead end. The only thing that this room had was a wall, without any doors or opening to advancing the journey to the top of this palace.

"W- wait! What is this thing in front of me?" She accidentally bumped to a block. She rubbed it, so she could know what it was.

And then.. the block opened up.

"It's like a drawer? Or a chest?" She frowned. "Maybe this is a storage room!" She grabbed what's inside the chest.

There were three bottles with liquid inside of it, a diamond, a metallic boots, and a few slimy things. "Eww.. what the hell is this slimy thing?!" She complained.

"Oh no! Now.. that I realized that there's water in this bottle.. I'm suddenly thirsty all of the sudden!" She didn't dare to drink these tho, it was possible that it's a poison.

She then looked at her dimensional ring. She needed something to drink in this situation! "Ah! I remembered that I have some potions of night vision from master!" It was from when they tried to rescue Sun Zhou and Mu Yifei. George gave her a few bottles of night vision potion.

She drunk the potion and could see things clearly after that. And then she heard someone clapping at her decisions. "Good job! You remembered that I gave you a lot of these potions in the past!" George laughed softly in the front of her. He already went inside this room while she was opened the chest.

He also drunk the potion effect remover and the potion of night vision to see things clearly. He didn't use any potion of night vision while he followed Su Ling, because he had her soul bound to the minimap, like a waypoint.

"M- master!" She was very shocked and almost slapped him unconsciously. "Why is Master in here?"

George looked at her weirdly. "I should be the one who should ask you that question!"

She coughed lightly before answering. "Uhh.. it's a long story! I went here to ask you for the potions of regeneration because all of the costumers asking me that! So.. I went here," And then she suddenly added sternly "But there's this guy who suddenly followed me here! I didn't notice him at first, as he used the potion of invisibility."

George was very intrigued by this whole situations. "Then.. how do you know that he used a potion of Invisibility?"

"Oh, that? While I was searching for master's residence, I stumbled upon this palace. Thinking that this is the building that master was staying at, I bravely came inside this palace." And then she sighed. "And this is where it gets interesting.. While I came inside, he followed me too. And there's a ton of monsters in here. Those monsters for some reason split into two forces and tried to attack the two of us! But.. I guess this is a fortune that was disguised as a misfortune. If I came to master's residence. There's a chance that this guy will assassinate us while we were off guarded."

George nodded. "Well.. I guess it's right if you think like that. But, you were very fortunate that you didn't go to the top of this tower!"

Su Ling was confused by him. "Why is it, master? That was the only place where we can see things! Wait.. what exactly is this place?"

George smiled when he realized that the guy went to the top floor and a twilight lich awakened from it's slumber. "This is not an ordinary palace. It was a dungeon and the home of a powerful being. The twilight lich!"
