80 Starting The Farm

Before George could relax, he still needed to plant a few plants that were needed to make his potions. And also a few sources of food, so Themerm and Mengi could feed themselves.

George went back to the mansion and connected the last cable to the refrigerator to make it operates.

While George was setting the fridge up, peoples swarmed and looked at the refrigerator in awe. "M.. master, What is this drawer? Why does this box producing frosty wind, similar to when it was winter? It's very different than the air that came out from an air conditioner of master's car!" Mu Yifei asked.

George laughed when he saw all of their flabbergasted faces. "Of course it's different! This is what they call a refrigerator or a fridge. You could put anything there, so any food ingredients.. including meat, fish, and veggies could be preserved longer." George said.

All of them gasped and was very interested in this revolutionary machine. "How could this thing produce cold air like in winter? And how do they think of this idea! It was so cool!"

Hearing her excitement like that, George became embarrassed. It was rare to see Mu Yifei like this, usually, she was a really quiet girl, but he just know for sure.. that she actually was a science geek. "Well.. The idea behind it is like winter. Uhh.. You know.. the colder the air, the harder for all kind of foods, like meats to rot."

She looked at George's explanations like a student that came for study in a school. Seeing her like that, George could only answer all of her questions about the fridge. Fortunately, he had the system and he could buy a manual about the fridge and gave it to her.

While he does that, the duo pigtificates and little ginseng curiously opened and closed the fridge. They were baffled by how the light inside the fridge turned on when they opened it slowly.

They tried to close it slowly to see if the light will stay on, or not. George saw them doing that and was flabbergasted by them.

George coughed "Ahem! Okay, let's plant something in our garden!" Little ginseng saw George and immediately came up to him, so he carried her up.

"Our garden?!" Little ginseng was excited by it for no reason.

The two pigtificates nearly jumped when they heard George's cough. They looked at him and smiled awkwardly "Uh.. Okay, Boss!"

George was amused by them. "I like that! You guys could continue calling me boss! Ahem! Okay.. we need to make a farm! What kind of vegetables do you like?"

Themerm and Mengi thought before answering. "We loved to eat all kinds of mushrooms, enoki mushrooms, those brown and red mushrooms that were scattered around the fungi forest, you name it. Wait.. Is it considered a vegetable? To be honest, we don't know about any vegetables. Just remember, we are from a place different than a human! We are really sorry if we were wrong.. When we heard about growing, we can think is about mushrooms."

"Uhh.. wait! You don't know about potato, carrot, cabbage, etc?" George almost blurted that out, but when they said things that they lived in a place called nether, he couldn't say that out loud.

George then bought potatoes, carrots, cabbages, and a few more veggies to show them what they are. "We will grow these things. They could be eaten and was very nutritious. Here, if you want to try some!" He gave those veggies to them. "The taste now is kinda bad, but if you cook it properly.. It was going to be very good!"

Themerm and Mengi nodded their head. Seeing them not complaining, George gave them a few seeds of normal veggies and the "not so normal" one.

He just saw a lot of interesting seeds from the shop, so he bought them. For example, a golden carrot and glistening melon seeds that could be used for making all kind of potions. Not only that, he saw a mandrake seed from a mod called witchery mod. Seeing that it was kinda cheap and interesting, he bought one and planted it in the corner of the garden. He told Themerm and Mengi to not mess with this plant. They only need to water them and never touch it. If the mandrake suddenly shrieked, no one will know what will happen to both of them.

He also saw a golden apple sapling and was baffled by it. He of course, immediately bought one and planted it on his garden, while Themerm and Mengi started to plant the seeds that George gave to them. George asked them to make sections on each seed, so it would be very easy to know what kind of plants is it.

George didn't need too many vegetables, so they didn't till a lot of lands. So it was done in a day.

"Ahaha! With these plants.. We won't need to buy golden carrots and glistening melons from the system again! And for a bonus, we also have a golden apple tree growing on our garden!" He thought about it and was very excited.

He doesn't know why, but when thinking about harvesting different kinds of fruit and veggies, it made him very excited. Maybe because they were the one who planted those plants, and was very proud of it? Probably.

George didn't forget to boost the growth speed, by giving those plants a bone meal. But, it wasn't like in Minecraft at all.. The bone meal stays on the ground like normal fertilizer, not instantly disappears and the tree suddenly had grown. It was just like a normal fertilizer. "Mmn.. maybe somehow it will boost it? I don't know.." he thought.
