I stood up and turned off the alarm that tore me out of my sleep.
Making my way through the room towards the bathroom, getting undressed and ready to take a shower, not really taking in that I have been reincarnated.
When I looked into the mirror I saw myself and couldn't really believe what I saw, I looked like Rimuru Tempest from the end of the 'Tensura' series (WN), though older, about seventeen, maybe eighteen with long blue hair, yellow eyes and a swimmers body. (Look at cover picture)
Looking down I confirmed, yep definitely male and well endowed for a sixteen year old.

Back to buisness, taking a shower and getting ready for the day.
After the shower I went to the kitchen to make me some cereal for breakfast, luckily the cupboards seem to have already been stocked up.
Having finished breakfast, I went back up, but instead of the bedroom, I took an empty room.
I moved to the middle of the room and set down cross-legged and started to meditate.
I wanted to find out, if I had a sacred gear, the chance was there since I reincarnated as a human.
I felt that there was something, but it was dormant and any action to 'wake' it up would be a fruitless endeavor.
But it reminded me of something else.
[Due to independent action, the skill Meditation (Active) LVL: 1 has been acquired.] This skill allows the user to increase their MP regeneration by 15% as long as the user stays in meditation.
So I did what every good gamer does, checking my status.

(AN: Sorry for the interruption, but I'm going to explain the stats:
HP: Health Points, if they reach zero, your'e dead.
MP: Magic Points, they are needed to cast magic and use certain skills.
VIT: Vitality here it becomes interesting, instead of increasing health and health regeneration, in this FanFic it becomes simply the users lifespan.
STR: Strengh, the higher the number, the more your punches hurt and the less the damage you take.
DEX: Dexterity, includes Speed, stamina and stamina regeneration. Though stamina isn't a stat.
INT: Intelligence, Increases MP, magic resistance is increased by 1% every 10 points in INT, learning speed, and memory.
WIS: Wisdom, every 10 points in wisdom, increases MP regeneration by 1%.
LUK: Luck, Nuff said.)

I was stunned by my stats, they seem unbelievable and what's up with the WIS and VIT stats.
They basically try to tell me, you live forever and never run out of Mana, that is only accentuated by that overpowered passive skill.
That line about Sacred Gear also tells me there was something dormant.
I didn't dwell too much on it, I need to get me the Observe skill, it's a most reliable tool you don't want to live without.

I just started looking around, literally observing things, down to the smallest detail.
It hasn't even been five minutes, when I got:

That was just way to easy, but I'm not gonna complain, easier for me. Now I need to figure out how to use my second wish, can't be to hard, right?

It wasn't so hard, I just need to focus and if I close my eyes, I 'see' a menu, similar to JEI or NEI from Minecraft where I can choose what I want, it even has things like, quantity, quality, type and categories to make searching easier.
The first thing I created was a simple apple, normal quality, medium size and like one would expect, a apple of medium size materialized in my hand.
I couldn't help myself, so I just took a bite and it was the best apple I have ever tasted and it was just normal quality, do I really want to know how the highest quality tastes like.
Happy with my snack, I decided to go out and familiarize myself with the town, maybe I'll even meet some individuals from the show.
I also have to buy some stuff, which reminds me I need to start training, I have two years before canon starts and I'd like to at least reach ultimate class strength by then.
Maybe I'll open a cafe, should be a good way to gather information and it gets me some income, especially since I don't need to worry about supplies.
So I went to get my wallet, keys and put on my shoes, heading out the door and locking it before looking around which direction I want to go. I think I will first head to the clothes store and apothecary, afterwards in the direction of the park to see if I meet anybody.
The reason for the apothecary is to get some medical supplies, even tough I will heal overnight, that doesn't say that people around me won't get hurt and I wouldn't be a good paramedic if I didn't even carry some bandages and antiseptic with me, so I also bought a blue-black bag to carry everything.
Once I arrived at the park, I saw a black haired girl with a bob-cut and bespectacled violet eyes, about 5'5'' tall. She wore a simple cyan summer dress sandals and a straw hat.
She was sitting behind a small table with a chess set, as if inviting me to play, she even sent me a small smile once our eyes met.
I wouldn't say no to little game of chess, so I went up to her, but before I could ask, she asked first.
???: "Care for a little game of chess, I am getting bored, there are no people willing to play.
Ashtal: "There's no one around to want to play with a beautiful young lady?, more like they are scared of embarrassing themselves by loosing."
???: "And you aren't scared of loosing, you think you have a chance?" She said with a small smug smile on her face
Ashtal: "Let us find out, shall we." I said with a small predatory smile on my face while sitting down opposite of my opponent
"My name's Ashtal Eldritch by the way, but you can just call me Ashtal if you want."
Sona: "My name is Sona Shitori, please just call me Sona.
That name is a lie, she's using a fake last name to hide her real identity, smart, unlike a certain redhead.

Huh that is unexpectedly useful. The match started without any form of signal, we just played while keeping some small talk going.
Sona: "So, I haven't seen you around here, are you new in town Ashtal-san? She asked with a interested look on her face and a calculating glint in her eyes, probably planning her next move while trying to distract me.
Ashtal: "I just arrived yesterday, actually. I moved here from England, since I grew tired of the large city and thought that this town here in japan had exactly what I needed, some peace and quiet."
Though I answered with no difficulty and lied through my teeth, since I had no background in this world as far as I knew of, I kept my concentration up and made my move that cost Sona on of her rooks and kept calculating for any moves she could come up with.
If there was anything I was known for in my last life by my friends and colleagues alike, it was my ability to calculate things with almost computer-like ease.

The skill has to be activated consciously, but in high stress situation can activate on it's own.

When I came out of my musing, I saw that Sona finished her turn, with a small smile on her face, though when I saw that her move was within my calculation, I couldn't help but laugh slightly, unnerving my opponent a little.
I made my move, taking Sona's Knight, which was the point at which she fell into my trap, one she couldn't get out of.

Ashtal: "Checkmate" I just put her into checkmate, without loosing a single piece.
Sona: "That was fun, how about another one." Sona asked with hope in her eyes and a slightly excited undertone, forgetting she lost.
Ashtal: "Sorry, I have to go and cook dinner, I'll play with you another time, so 'till next time
Sona-san."
Sona: "Yes, until next time Ashtal-san." Sona, gave a bright smile and waved after me, before packing up and also making her way home.

When I arrived back home, I went to get a shower and afterwards cook me some Fish'n chips for dinner, now that I think about it, I need to get some cookbooks.
Well let's check my status before I go to bed.

Once I was done checking over my stats, I lied down on the bed, thinking I'm going to start training and the it hit me, I won against Sona.
Does that mean, I won myself a wife?, is the agreement between Sona and her parents already active?.
Let's not dwell on it, tomorrow is another day, in this new life.
