15 The Vegetable 'Dragon'
It has been over 3 hours when Xiao Tian Long started pummeling the Land Dragon...
Well, calling it a 'Dragon' is like calling a chicken a predator bird, apart from having extremely hard scales and sharp teeth there is nothing of dragon on this lizard.
'But he will do as nicely as a starting Pok... I mean contracted beast...' Xiao Tian Long for a second mixed up universes he was living in...
His eyes went to the panting Land 'Dragon', the beast was bleeding from couple areas as well as missing several fangs, its legs were shaking from tiredness, yet it was still looking at Sword Sovereign with anger, hate, and of course resolve...
'I guess it should wrap this up, it's getting late...' For a second Xiao Tian Long looked at the sky, he noticed the setting sun in the horizon.
"I am impressed you lasted this long, but it's time for you to see just how pointless your struggle is..." Sword Sovereign said to the Land Dragon which was getting its breath back.
Xiao Tian Long quickly looked to his side and saw The Fairies.
"Fairy Murong please coat the girls with your Profound energy I am about to finish this..." His request confused and intrigued the older fairy.
"W-Why are you asking me this?" She wanted to know if he is going to use some absurd technique if he wants her to coat the younger fairies in Profound energy.
"Because I don't wish for them to feel embarrassed, before ask what I mean just do what I asked you." Xiao Tian Long said to Murong Qianxue without losing sight of the antsy Land Dragon in the distance.
The older fairy slowly nodded at him and then pulled the confused trio closer to herself and then started to channel her profound energy through them in a defensive manner.
Seeing that his request was done, Xiao Tian Long, smiled for a second, and then quickly vanished from his position which he was been standing for over three hours.
While Murong Qianxue looked at what about to happen with utmost curiosity.
'What does he mean 'embarrassment'? is it related to the fact that his aura has reached a point that I can't comprehend?'
The older Fairy was truly shocked by what she witnessed for the past 3 hours, while the Land Dragon pummeling was shocking at first, but what truly taken the spotlight for her was the whole fact that his aura was slowly growing the whole time!
By this point, she could not understand where his power was!
While his cultivation didn't changed his aura did! His Sword intent was added like extra power on his cultivation!
This of course was nothing new to her as that's the whole reason why he has beaten Xuanyuan Wentian in first place!
But, for it to reach realm what stopped making sense is something else entirely!
That make her think that he might even attained a realm of power above that of Monarch!
'But is that even possible with a technique?' The older Fairy thought to herself as she saw Tian Long appear above Land Dragon head and then just landed on top of it!
'What is he even...'

Very next moment very bright light exploded from Sword Sovereign.
It send chills down to everyone who was around this area, to point that anyone who was less mentally strong it would make them pass out, worse die from fear.
Only cultivators who actively protected themselves with profound energy would somewhat 'survive' the blunt of the sword intent intact.
As in, they nearly pissed their pants from fear the sword intent brought, like thousands of cold steel brushing through their spines at same time at once.
That why Xiao Tian Long said to Murong Qianxue to coat the girls in Profound Energy.
Throne level Profound energy should have been enough to get over the bulk of the intent.
Even if the girls were not the target of this...

When Sword Sovereign unleashed his Sword Intent it was not towards cutting someone, as if he did that then the Land Dragon and anyone several kilometres around him would have been cut to small pieces.
No, this blast was towards one being's survival instinct, it's a natural reaction towards danger, only multiply that thousands if not hundreds of thousands times over and then slamming into one target.
And the Land Dragon was in epicentre of this blast...
When blinding light settled down the Lizard collapsed on the ground.
Xiao Tian Long jumped down from its head and looked at his handy work.
First thing he did was to click his tongue, as he saw the Lizard drooling, and then a certain smell started to assault his nose...
He just sighed and looked towards the somewhat stiff girls.
"Well, I think I overdid it, the technique is not as versatile as I would love it to be." Tian Long sighed.
His 'Dragon' Pet broke before he could properly 'capture' him.
Not that he doesn't know how to fix one...
"W-What was that!?" Xia Qingyue quickly approached him, she nearly pissed herself in front of her Senior Master and her Senior Sisters!
Such thing would utterly embarrassing!
"Sword Intent, Yue'er." The only male in the group answered back at her as he inspected drooling Land Dragon.
"How does that even work!?" She asked with a confused and exaggerated look, so far nothing makes sense in the 'battle' she witnessed just now!
She witnessed her husband use Sword Intent as a blunt type of energy, then she saw it being used as some sort of fear-inducing energy as well!
"Well its 'Sword' type of energy, it's quite versatile, not as versatile as let's say water, as water can heal, drown, freeze, even freeze time... well the last one is quite a stretch..." Tian Long waved his hand, to forget about the last one, he then looked at the other three approaching ladies, they didn't dare to look at him directly for the same reason his wife did not...
"Well, now you know why I told you to coat yourself in Profound Energy." He said with a knowing look.
"Yes..." Murong Qianxue didn't comment more on this, as it would be extremely embarrassing theme of conversation.
Instead she looked at drooling Dragon wannabe.
"Not to say anything disrespectful Sword Sovereign, but how are you planning to form a contract with... this?" The Older Fairy motioned towards Lizard turned Vegetable.
"Well, as long as he is alive... it's fixable..." Tian Long just shrugged his shoulders, and with a simple movement of his left-hand index finger, he cut his right-hand index finger and threw a drop of blood between eyes of the Land Dragon.
Moments later the beast turned into particles and disappeared into a newly formed tattoo on Right hand of Sword Sovereign.
The Frozen Cloud Fairies looked at Xiao Tian Long who was inspecting his newly formed contract.
He was at the same time mentally going through a list of techniques he picked up in his earlier days of exploration.
Many Evil sects practised... questionable arts, from turning people into cultivation cauldrons to brainwashing, to blood rituals...
The List is quite long, he picked most of them for his Library, and he has just a thing to fix the broken sea of consciousness of the Land Dragon.
"How are you even going to use him?" Xia Qingyue asked her husband.
"I am going to fix him, that's how." He answered back in a most obvious way possible.
If his mind is broken... then just fix it...
The four fairies almost face-planted on ground hearing that.
"Girls, I think we should not question Sword Sovereign methods, I am sure he has some obscure Profound Art which can do such things! correct?" Murong Qianxue quickly went in, to safe some common sense in her disciples.
"Yes, you are correct Fairy Murong, why don't we return to our camp, and I will refine any of the Profound cores you girls have into pills?" Xiao Tian Long decided to drop the conversation about his Vegetable Lizard and focus on more important things.
All four of them nodded and soon enough Murong Qianxue and Tian Long transported the girls to their camp.
After that the trio pulled out their profound cores they gathered so far.
Wu Xuexin had one True Profound core, Shui Wushuang had one Spirit Profound core, and Xia Qingyue had two True Profound cores.
Shui Wushuang slightly smirked, when she saw how many Profound cores her sisters gathered.
This time she was victorious!
"Not bad, Spirit Profound as your first kill? not bad at all." Xiao Tian Long praised the girl after seeing Profound core in her hands.
The girl in question puffed her chest proudly, the rest of the 'competitors' gave her a stingy eye when Sword Sovereign was not looking.
Moments later he pulled a cauldron from his storage ring, then casually started to throw some sort of herbs from somewhere...
'He doesn't have storage ring on that hand... where is he getting those herbs?' Xia Qingyue curiously looked at her husband.
Not long after that he collected the Profound cores from the girls and threw them into the cauldron, then he pulled out some firewood from his storage ring and started fire with his... sword of all things...
After that Xia Qingyue saw him use his Profound Energy to manipulate the flame under the cauldron to his needs, the fire even changed colours, from regular orange to green, then blue...
"It's more like he is cooking food then making pills." Shui Wushuang said to her fellow sister, she, of course, said it in a quiet voice so that Xiao Tian Long wouldn't hear her.
"I wonder if he knows how to cook..." Wu Xuexin asked her fellow sister.
"He does, he used to cook for me back when I was still living in Floating Cloud City." Xia Qingyue said with a slightly smug voice, earning envious looks from her Senior Sisters.
Not long after that, the fairies started to pick up a strong smell of herbs coming from the cauldron.
"While the Profound cores are full of Profound Energy, they are not that pure, and not that suited for human cultivators to consume it, especially raw, that's why we usually purify them, but that comes with a downside, as the amount of Profound energy diminishes after purification, but... that's where these herbs come in..." Xiao Tian Long slightly smiled at that.
"With this... these pills don't lose even ounce of energy." He then used his Profound energy to pull out the four pills from scalding cauldron and gave it back to the girls who were observing him.
"The process to consume them is same as any other pills, just swallow it." Tian Long explained before the girls can ask him.
All three of them slightly blushed, realising that Sword Sovereign can read them like a book.
Moments later they swallowed the pills they got, in Xia Qingyue case she only swallowed one of them.
First one to react was Shui Wushuang as her pill was Spirit Profound.
*GASP*
"I-I am already halfway towards reaching Sixth Of Spirit Profound!" The girl said with wide eyes.
While the other girls had quite a similar reaction, but more controlled.
"Y-You are right Sister Wushuang! I got a significant increase in cultivation just from one True Profound Pill!" Wu Xuexin agreed with her fellow sister.
"Yes, these pills are great, Husband!" Xia Qingyue nodded alongside her Senior Sisters, moments after that she swallowed her second pill.
In total her cultivation increased around 40% in just after a few hours of walking and killing two profound beasts!
Not bad for a single day outdoors...
