842 Who is the pettiest of them all?

Mathias "Erm... What does this mean?" he asks while confusedly looking at the map, perhaps something had gone wrong with the spell?

Harry traces wand down the line, "This, is the general area that your friend is located in, from what I can see, they're either in Vengerberg, or the wilderness following the line."

Barnock "So... We just walk in one direction until we find him?" he asks.

Harry nods, "Basically, though, if they move you'll likely pass them... Hang on a second." he says, reaching under his desk and pulling out a small box, which he then puts his entire arm into...

The group watch as he pulls out a compass and examines it for a while, after a moment he begins chanting a spell and taps his wand onto it, causing it to release a flash of light.

Harry passes Mathias the compass which is pointing not at north, but at south, "Not my best work, but it's all I can do for someone I've never met before. This is pointing in the direction of your friend Tyrael, unfortunately it isn't that accurate, so when you reach around 20 miles away from him it'll not be able to direct you further." he explains.

Mathias nods and puts it in his inventory for now, "Thanks, could you try find the location of Leah and Adria?" he asks.

Harry nods, doing the same as earlier and placing the wand on the top right of the map. It spins for a few seconds before finally pointing towards the Dragon Mountains, a place that wasn't entirely located on the map. "Hm, that's a problem..." he mutters, conjuring another map over the first, this one showing a huge mountainous area covered by forests, further up becoming an icy wasteland. "Let's see if this works."

Again, he places the wand down, after spinning it points towards the top left of the map, causing Harry to frown for some reason.

Mathias "Is something wrong?" he asks, concerned.

Harry shakes his head, "No... Well, sort of. Your friend Leah is deep to the north, within the Dragon Mountains. We've made many efforts to explore this region, but as our King is more concerned with "other" lands, he left the exploration to his generals. The land is mapped out, but not entirely explored, many ruins still lay uncovered there, most holding valuable knowledge of past, aswell as dangerous traps and obstacles... Not to mention the numerous monsters still infesting the place, no matter how many we kill, their numbers don't seem to stop."

Jerma "I heard that there were still Dragons residing with the mountains aswell." she asks.

Harry nods, "After their failed attack on Ichor they retreated and never returned. Though, it seems ten years is enough for some to regain their confidence, especially since Eeuwigdurend has passed away. They won't be a problem though, Solaire is more than capable enough at dealing with them." he states with confidence.

Mathias "You have dragons here?!" he exclaims, standing up and beginning to sweat.

Barnock also looks a bit pale at hearing this, his hands clenched into fists as he stares at the floor.

Harry "Is... Something wrong with Dragons?" he asks, deciding not to mention the fact that many Dragons currently reside within Ichor.

Mathias slowly nods, "Indeed... Dragons are some of the most powerful beings in existence, sometimes even more so than gods."

Barnock "There are stories of a seven-headed dragon called Tathamet, they told of how the true God Anu seperated all things he considers evil about himself... This evil manifested into Tathamet, the Seven-Headed Dragon responsible for creating Hell itself." he adds.

Mathias nods, "Tathamet isn't the only Dragon, but even the ones weaker than it are still incredibly powerful..."

Harry shrugs, "Well, here there are multiple kinds of Dragons, I doubt you need to worry though... We have Primitive Dragons from my original world that have beastlike intelligence. Then, there are this world's dragons, highly intelligent, capable of magic, transforming, and taking a human appearance. We hold the former in Dragon reserves so we can harvest valuable materials from them without endangering their population. The latter are the ones that tried to attack Ichor and send fleeing with their tails between their legs." he says, causing the duo to release a relieved breath.

Mathias "Hopefully we won't have to fight any to save Leah" he mutters, "What about Adria's location?"

Harry "Let's check." he says, drawing a line over the one where Leah is... "They're both together..."

Mathias and Barnock sigh, the latter rubbing his face and beard before replying, "I suggest we get to Tyrael before attempting to do anything to Leah or Adria, he might know something we don't, and his assistance would help a great deal."

Mathias "I think that's the plan... It might take a while to traverse all these region to find him." he looks to Harry, "Do you have any fast means of transportation? It'd be easier to quickly go through the areas while checking the compass to see if we're getting close."

Harry "Well, it depends on what kind of travel you're looking for... I suppose just teleporting you in the middle would suffice..." he taps his wand on the map and nods, "When you want to return to Ichor, simply say "There's no place like home." With everyone holding the map." he states, receiving a nod from everyone.

Mathias "Where do we access the teleportation?" he asks as they all stand up.

Harry touches a pendant hanging around his neck which causes a portal to open behind them, "That should lead to Spalla which is south of the Yaruga river, follow the compass once you're across..."

Mathias "Ah, wait... I needed to get my gold scanned so I can use it." he quickly asks, having forgotten about it due to being in awe of the city.
