882 Ser jodido por Diablo

Diablo chuckled as they flexed their new muscles, feeling as if they could tear anything apart with its new strength...

Mathias glared at Diablo in anger, he still felt slightly sick for destroying Leah's body, but it had to be done in order to save this world... He thrust his hand forwards again and unleashed a powerful arcane laser, channelling as much power into it as he could. Only for Diablo to simply raise one hand and block it with ease, the laser ending with having done no damage whatsoever.

Diablo "You may have destroyed the girls body, but you are too weak to harm my true form." it says mockingly towards the wizard.

Mathias shakes his head, "I refuse to believe that demon!" he shouts, throwing many arcane orbs at the monster who easily shrugs all of them off. Having all of his attacks do nothing is definitely disheartening, but it wasn't like he could give up...

*SLASH!*

Diablo lunges forwards at great speeds while slashing one of its arm spears through Mathias, it passes through and deals no damage due to Mathias body currently being made up of only arcane energies, but the shock of seeing the demon move so quickly forced the wizard backwards.

It was clear that he was no match for the demon so he diverted his attention elsewhere, looking towards the horde that Barnock was destroying. He flew over and released an arcane explosion that wiped out everything nearby, dealing damage to the barbarian who just shrugs it off. Though, even if it dealt almost no damage, it got the raging mans attention.

Barnock leapt at Mathias and swung his axe at him, if Mathias hadn't been made of arcane energies his head would have been separated from his body, fortunately that wasn't the case. It seems that his plan had worked though, the barbarian lands relatively close to Diablo, the barbarian setting his sights on the first enemy nearby and dashing towards them with a roar.

A barbarians strength is directly related to their fury, you would think that this meant that they would train themselves to get furious on command, but this isn't the case. Instead, they trained to subdue their rage as the amount of damage they could unintentionally do if their control slipped would be enormous.

As such it was extremely difficult for a barbarian to completely lose themself in rage, limiting their potential strength even in dire times... Unfortunately for Diablo, he'd unintentionally made Barnock the angriest he'd ever been, this was compounded by the fact that his rage was directly linked to Diablo due to what Barnock had seen in his vision.

Diablo blocked Barnocks axe as he ran at him, but the barbarian sent a kick to the demons stomach immediately afterwards. They were sent crashing against the far cavern wall causing the area to shake, though the demon quickly recovered and landed while sending a malicious glare at the barbarian.

A disintegration beam struck Diablo in the side, blackening their scales and doing small amounts of damage as Barnock sprinted at their enemy again.

Diablo roared at the barbarian and spat a large amount of fire at him, enveloping them for a moment before Mathias conjured a frost nova that weakened the flames enough to prevent further injury to Barnock.

Once Barnock was visible again he was smoking, his beard had been almost entirely burned, leaving all but a few singed hairs behind. His armour was unharmed due to it being made with titanate, but the few uncovered area of skin had burns present.

Usually, injuries would weaken a combatant, but the pain only enraged Barnock further, they stomped on the floor and caused the stone around them to crack and splinter, swinging their axe to uproot it and throw a deadly avalanche at them.

Diablo was quickly buried but not a moment later an explosion launched boulders in every direction, the demon shooting out and attempting to run Barnock through with its arm-spear.

Barnock deflected the attack but Diablo stopped forwards with their other arm, forcing the barbarian to retreat or be stabbed through the heart.

Mathias "Give up Diablo! We will not be defeated here!"

Diablo growls at him, "You will, and I will make it so!" they shout, releasing a roar that causes fiery rings to appear around the cavern.

Tyrael is forced to quickly pick up Selina and the still sobbing Quennie as a circle forms underneath them. Luckily he escapes just as the ring is enveloped in a fiery explosion. He's pushed forward by the shockwave but hugs the girls tightly to prevent them from getting injured.

The only boon to this is the fact that many of Diablo's minions had been destroyed by the explosions aswell, giving them some room to breathe for the meantime.

Barnock was sent flying by the fiery explosions as more than one ring had formed underneath him, creating an area too wide for him to escape before it exploded. Luckily he was mostly protected by his armour, picking himself up and sprinting back into battle as if he'd not just survived an attack that could kill a dragon instantly.

Diablo looks to Mathias and swings its hand at him, launching a large wall of fire at the unsuspecting wizard. He'd been taken offguard when Diablo started using magic, having thought that the demon was unable to use it. A silly notion considering how powerful Diablo was at this moment.

Mathias flew away to avoid it but was skimmed on the leg by it, causing a great deal of pain to rocket up his body. His arcane form may be immune to physical damage, but he was more vulnerable to magic damage now than when he was in his human body.

He struggles to keep himself floating due to the pain that felt like it was puncturing his very soul, but through sheer force of will, he managed it.
