880 Absolute Terror

Diablo unleashes a tsunami of smoke at the group and everyone tries to defend, Selina covering her face with her arm before lowering it after feeling the attack pass. She eyes Diablo suspiciously and glances at her comrades, noticing that they'd all be trapped in the smoke.

Black smoke roiled around them like a hand taking a firm grip, their expressions hardened before becoming more and more distressed. Her sister Quennie begins to sob while screaming at the top of her lungs, as if someone were prying her fingernails off with a rusty spoon covered in lemon and salt.

Selina grit her teeth and pushed down the urge to teleport next to Diablo and cut the demons head off, even if she was able to do it she doubted her friends would be freed of the curse. She quickly ran to Quennie and started applying diagnostic spells, ignoring the slowly approaching hoard of demons around her.

The scans came up with nothing, they stated that her sister was just sleeping, but by her scream that obviously wasn't true. She shook Quennie vigorously but it achieved nothing, her efforts on bringing back her sister were utterly useless.

She'd been focussing on it so much that she hadn't even noticed when a demon leapt up and bite into Tyraels throat, causing blood to splatter everywhere as more joined in, tearing the former-angel apart.

Selina's eyes widened at this and she blinked over to save Tyrael, afterwards realising that it was far too late for action... Tyraels throat was punctured and bleeding profusely, half his face having been bitten off and torn to shreds. He was missing both arms and one leg that had many bitemarks littering it.

She shakes her head as the feeling of despair starts to take her, blinking in-front of the others and beginning to kill any monsters that approach. Her speed and ability to manipulate space proved enough to hold them off temporarily, but the hordes numbers didn't seem to lessen, even after half an hour of fighting.

She was beginning to tire and knew it was only a matter of time before they were overrun... She quickly thinks through her options and her eyes widen when she remembers something... Her amulet!

Selina was regretful it'd taken her this long to recall it, Tyrael's death haunting her mind as she gripped the necklace that her father had given her and began channelling magic into it... Only for nothing to happen. Well, not nothing...

A tendril of black smoke had wrapped around her leg without her noticing, she felt her strength begin drained through it and shook it off, backing away and attempting to blink backawrds to use the amulet in safety.

Her breath hitched in her throat when she found herself unable to teleport, that wasn't all though, she couldn't feel any of her magic!

A turquoise flash appeared next to her, causing her to look at it hopefully... The only people capable of using blink were her parents... However, neither Reima nor Ciri was there. In there place was Diablo still wearing the poor woman body, her eyes changed from yellow to turquoise.

Diablo "This is intriguing, I feel so much more powerful!" she exclaims with a evil grin.

Selina stabs her sword at the demon, only for them to disappear in a turquoise flash and reappear behind her. Now that she was on the opposite end of this ability, she agreed with those that'd said it was obnoxious and annoying.

Selina swings again but Diablo catches it with their hand, crushing the blade as if it were prop-glass and not titanite.

Diablo "Your weapons are useless, your magic is mine... Surrender and serve me and I will let you live."

Selina scowls, "Never!" she shouts, punching Diablo in the face and breaking her own hand... She quickly backs away while examining her fist, all the bones in it were shattered... She'd thought that with Diablo using Leah's body her skin would be human-like, she'd been underestimating Diablo apparently.

Her attention is drawn away from the demon striding towards her as Quennie's screams get louder, it was so loud that her sister would likely tear her vocal cords if she continued.

Selina "Stop! Stop! I'll surrender! Please don't hurt them!" she exclaims, dropping to her knees to try and save her friends and sister.

Diablo grins, "Good, you have made the correct choice." they say, resting a hand atop her head.

Selina "Then... You'll let everyone go if I stay?" she asks hopefully, knowing that her father would definitely save her.

Diablo places a finger on their own chin and looks thoughtful... "No." they states, snapping their fingers and causing everyone to scream.

Barnock and Mathias begin roaring in pain, their limbs flailing around for a moment before trying to scratch their faces. Selina is horrified when the red trails caused by their nails begin to get deeper an deeper, the duo eventually tearing out their eyes and moving on to their throats.

Selina "NO! STOP! PLEASE!" she begs, only to be backhanded by Diablo.

Barnock and Mathias eventually fall to their knee's, blood spewing from their self inflicted injuries, Selina turning away from the grim sight before locking her eyes onto Quennie.

Selina "Please... I'll do anything! Just leave her alone!"

Diablo shakes their head, "You're too late." they state as Quennie begins moving again, her screams still echoing in the room.

Her head tilts backwards so she can shout at the roof, shaking her head rapidly as if there were insects in her ears. The horrific picture didn't last long as Quennie finally tilted her head to the side, straining her neck to its max flexibility, until....

*CRACK!*

Selina "NOOOOOOOOOO! QUENNNNNIIEEE! ARRRRGHHHHHH!" she wails in pain after seeing her sister's spine snap.

Diablo slowly nods at the girls reaction, taking pleasure in her pain... Though, when her eyes begin glowing a bright turquoise they knew something was definitely wrong.
