8 Chp 6, Godrick the Grafted

Godrick the Grafted, as hideous as he may be, definitely had a sense of style. As I walked into this boss room I was enamored with the castle's design. However, that was quickly overcome when the fog behind me closed and he appeared to greet me.

Mighty Dragon, thou'rt a trueborn heir.

Lend me thy strength, o kindred.

Deliver me unto greater heights.

playing as a lord.

I summoned my Wolf spirit ashes and walked toward him calmly looking for any sign of an impending attack.

Godricks left shoulder twitched and his great axe descended at a freighting pace; however, I rolled away by a hair's breadth and landed a hammer strike. Barely damaged he continued his onslaught of axe slashes with be dodging and striking matching his tempo.

A few moments later he spun his axe in the air and rolled toward me intent on dispatch me quickly.

As anyone would do seeing a giant deformed demigod roll toward them, I ran like a pussy and let Nephili soak up the damage and take his aggro.

Taking full advantage of the fact he wasn't targeting me I let off a barrage of spells depleting his health to half.

Ahh, truest of dragons.

Cleaving his arm with his great axe he reached over toward the dragon head and the only familiar stage two started.

With his wide sweeping ray of fire coming toward me I ran right and made it to his feet clobbering at his legs as he finished up his Aoe only for him to start his ground smashing attack which threw me aside with half HP remaining.

Downing a Crimson Flask while Nephili soaked up damage along with my only living spirit wolf I began my array of spells anew until he was staggered at around ¼ health.

Rushing in it used my stagger combo leaving him with just a sliver of health which I removed with a clean Hammer bash to the side of his head.

With The demigod slain his aura exploded outward and a great ruin descended like a gift of the greater will.

Nephili and my wolf summon faded and I was left alone to embrace the power of the ruin.

Automatically it was stored in my inventory and I made my way upward to the grace at the castle door.

Opening the massive door was easy enough but slow as it weighed an insane amount but as it opened I was greeted with the replica of the Elden throne.

I made my way to the left following the pathway to the edge of the cliff to rest at the Lake-Facing Cliffs grace.

My flask's were weak and I knew I had to get more of them and reinforce them with sacred tears so I decided to go church to church collecting sacred tears along with Golden Acorns.

My first stop was the near by Church of Irith and then to the Church of vows far off on the right collecting a few graces along the way.

Two sacred tears was a good start but with the only two churches nearby in this region out of the way I backtracked.

First the smoldering Church in Caelid and then I fast traveled back to the Forlorn Hound Evergaul near the bridge.

There were three churches past the bridge and I visited every one of them collecting sacred tear, acorn grace alike along the way.

By the time I was done it was getting late and I left the Land Between to get some rest after Increasing my Flasks to 7 in number and reinforced them to Plus 5.

Even in this life I was not much of a morning person. I awoke rested but that did not stop me from getting dressed quickly for school and running to the nearest coffee shop.

It was time for the Osborne exhibit and I wanted to be on my game as much as possible.

Might as well get bit by the spider along with Peter the strength I could get naturally but spider sense and wall climbing would be an invaluable resource.

Just like that I arrived at school and boarded the bus. I sat across from Peter and Ned and listened to Peter talk and talk about how awesome Osbornes facilities are supposed to be.

Arriving at the research center everything progressed normally as far as I could tell and I noticed one spider missing.

Instantly I went on high alert looking all around and noticed the spider hanging just above Peter and Harry as they talked about MJ. Then Harry went to talk to her since Peter was too afraid to make his move.

Kind of a coward but we have all been there making that approach can be scary but I still feel bad for Pete.

As Osborne left Peter worked up some courage and went to take her photo.

Hey, Uhh can I take your picture? Need one with a student in it.

Sure yeah why not. Where do you want me over here?

Yeah, that's great.

The spider dropped from the ceiling and landed on his hand and bit him.

Now it was time to intervene.

As he went to slap the spider I bumped into him and gracefully swiped the spider allowing it to bite me as well before killing it and storing its small corpse in my inventory.

Sorry about that Pete I lost my footing.

Yeah no worries but uhhh, I'm not feeling too great honestly.

You OK man? Hey teacher Peter's feeling under the weather. I'm gonna take him home. I'll see you at school tomorrow.

Yeah no worries to bad Peter has been looking forward to this for quite awhile.

On the way back to my car Peter was practically hanging all of his weight on my shoulder but I managed to get his address out of him even in his groggy state.

He passed out in my passenger seat but I didn't mind this was my opportunity to meet Ben and May and I wasn't going to pass it up.

Their doorbell sound was terrible but it definitely caught attention easily.

Soon Ben was at the door to greet me as I carried peter.

What happened is he is okay, Ben questioned.

Yeah he's doing ok he just is a little sick and fell asleep in the car when I was driving him home. Didn't want to wake him so can you show me to his room?

Yeah sure it's right this way.

After dropping him in his bed to get his beauty sleep, Ben invited me to dinner.

Since you're here Would you like to eat with us? Its not often Peters friends stop by.

I would love to have dinner with you. I accepted immediately.
