7 Great Scam

Zhao Lung woke up and ate breakfast quickly. Afterward, he set off to the village market which was a 10-minute walk from his house. After arriving a sudden issue came upon Zhao Lung's mind, he had no money. This issue bugged Zhao Lung, but quickly a solution came to his mind.

At the entrance of a rare ore store, Zhao Lung bent down and picked up an ordinary looking rock. Then, he walked into the store, with an evil grin on his face.

"Hello young sir, how may I help you?" The store owner looked at him expectantly as he came from the backroom. The market in Sky Leaf Village has three levels of stores. The first one is a small stall, used by most of the merchants, the first level store was priced at 1 silver copper per week of use. The second level priced at 10 silver per week, is a store equipped with a storage room in the back, and space where numerous products could be showcased, this was also the type of store that Zhao Lung just walked into. And finally the third level stores, which were huge buildings built specifically for the store, and were situated in the center of the market. Such stores' cost depended on their size, as it was being built and not rented.

"I was looking for a place to sell this ultra-rare legendary stone." Zhao Lung looked at the shop owner lazily. He then strolled up to the counter imitating the way rich people acted. The middle-aged shop owner squinted at the stone in Zhao Lung's hand.

"Are you taking me for an idiot, scamper off, and stop wasting my time!" The shop owner frowned and angrily stared at Zhao Lung in disdain.

"Have your eyes grown blind, or have you lost interest in life?" Zhao Lung set the stone down on the counter with a loud bang and gave the shop owner a look full of killing intent. In order to sell the stone, he pretended to be much stronger than he was, so then it would be easier to change the shop owner's thoughts. To be successful in business and often times in life you have to pretend to be a much bigger deal than you really are, this was something Zhao Lung had deciphered from the way he acted in some of his new-found memories.

The shop owner looked at the stone again, and his expression immediately changed. He fell on his knees, and started begging "Please forgive this old fool, this old man really has gone blind to not see the great treasure before him!"

'Even though this guy is at the Warrior Realm, I can still change his thoughts, as expected the improvement to my mental energy from my new technique coupled with breaking through to the Warrior Realm has significantly improved the effectiveness of the Godly Thought Twist! ' Zhao Lung thought happily.

"At least you recognize your mistake. I came to this area to conquer a newly-discovered dungeon nearby where I found this legendary stone and seeing as this cheap item is of no use to me, I came to sell it in this poor village." Zhao Lung explained.

"Now I understand my Lord if you don't mind me asking why would you come to this poor second level store of mine to sell such a valuable treasure?" The shop owner quietly asked while still kneeling.

"You see, I come from the city, and the fifth level stores there might not even glance at it before refusing, I would rather sell it here for some loose change instead of hurting my face when I try to sell this item there." Zhao Lung indifferently replied.

"I see now my Lord, and how much would you ask for it?" The shopkeeper's eyes brightened in excitement.

"5 gold, even though it probably could sell for 10, but I can tell that a beggar like you from a small village can't even afford that" He shot the shop owner look of disdain. ' 5 gold! Those are my entire life savings, but he said it can get me 10 gold. If I do this, I can finally retire and live happily with my family!' The man quickly passed reached scurried away, a few moments later he came back and handed 5 pieces of gold to Zhao Lung with trembling hands

'For some reason, I don't even feel bad for this guy even though he is about to lose his entire life's savings on some random rock I found on the ground' Zhao Lung noted this change in his personality, he was beginning to grow colder, almost number from watching his new memories.

After the deal was sealed, Zhao Lung excitedly walked off to the center of the market where a large building was positioned, the market hall. The market hall was the most important building in the village market, where you could do various things including establishing a store.

A line of people numbering in the tens greeted Zhao Lung when he walked in. An hour later, Zhao Lung finally walked up to the counter.

"Hello, I want an application for a level two store please." The lady behind the counter reached below the counter and pulled out a box full of blank applications. She quickly pulled out one from the middle and handed it to Zhao Lung.

"Here you go, sir. " The lady said politely. As Zhao Lung took the application from her, he took the chance to read her thoughts and frowned inwardly. 'The famous poor brat has probably collected his entire life savings for just one week in the store, how cocky, does he really think he can earn his money back?' Zhao Lung's expression tightened a bit, but he decided to disregard her. In the Sky Feather Village, Zhao Lung is famous for being poor to the point of fighting for spare change every day. Even though people often ridicule him, he completely disregards them, so this did not surprise him in the slightest.

Zhao Lung sat down on one of the comfy sofas spread around the room and looked at the application. He began filling out the basic information until he came to a particular question.
