1 Lonely Boy

The operating room looked busy, the doctor was stopping the bleeding which was quite severe on the back of Rei, a 13- year- old teenager. He is one of the victims who are still trying to be rescued by the team of doctors after his father and mother died on the spot due to a big accident last night. A series of collisions have occurred at the corner of Sudirman Street, Surabaya which is known to be prone to accidents.

A truck had brake failure so it accelerated and hit many passing motorists. There were 13 people killed at that time, and 5 people were injured including Rei who is currently in the ICU at Saint Laurent Hospital.

Aunt Laura, the younger sister of Rei's biological mother, seemed to be in tears, she didn't expect her sister and brother-in-law to die on the same day in a very tragic incident. Moreover, his nephew Reinhard Curt, a 13-year-old Indo-German mulatto teenager, currently has to undergo surgery in the ICU due to his fractured scapula and several ribs.

Aunt Laura's husband, James came and hugged her, the man was very busy because he was an appointment with the police, the hospital, and the funeral director. The couple had to go through a pretty tough day with a great sense of loss.

"We'll adopt him," Aunt Laura asked her husband.

"Yes dear, Wiliam and Anastasia are very good people, we must take care of Rei as our child!" he agreed.

"But James, he's still very young..!" Aunt Laura didn't continue her sentence, she looked feels sorry for Rei who had to be an orphan at a very young age.

"You have to be strong Laura! This afternoon the body will come and we have to be strong during the funeral procession!" James said stating the truth.

Aunt Laura kept crying and blaming reality. Uncle James who was also very sad to hold back his tears seemed that the man was trying his best so that his wife could be stronger in dealing with all the problems that had happened. The operation was over, and the doctor came out of the room and called the patient's family.

The doctor said that the operation was successful, and his nephew Rei will most likely wake up from his coma soon. For his broken bones, there is still a lot of potential to return to normal because Rei's age is still very young. Three days after surgery Rei began to realize, when he woke up the boy was screaming in a trance. The doctor immediately gave a sedative and Rei fell asleep. They checked the condition of his nerves and brain, there seemed to be no problem everything remained normal.

In the afternoon, Rei woke up because the effects of the sleeping pills given by his doctor had worn off. With half-opened eyes, Rei saw a strange animal like the one he saw this morning on his blanket. Rei covered his mouth, he didn't want the doctor to inject him again. Rei slowly dropped the blanket on the floor, he didn't want the strange animal to creep onto his body.

"How ridiculous!" he thought.

Rei looked at it again, the strange animal was gone. Rei was surprised, he kept an eye on the blanket that was now under his bed. A nurse who passed by saw that a blanket had fallen and took it for him.

"Are you awake little boy?" she said. "Does your head hurt?"

Rei shook his head because his head was fine. Only the bone under the shoulder still hurts.

"You better rest!" said the nurse while covering Rei with the blanket he had thrown away earlier.

Rei looked at the blanket, still normal and nothing was wrong. He saw that the fabric was pure blue, and the fibers looked like quite fine threads, Rei noticed the threads were porous and the small fibers that were visible were getting clearer and he began to see that there were many colorful spider-like animals there. Rei closed his eyes, he was horrified, then out of curiosity he opened his eyes again the blanket still looked normal. He silently squinted and began to concentrate again on observing the fibers, and so the strange animal appeared again.

"Wow..!" he thought.

The boy who just woke up from a coma realized that he had eyes almost like an electron microscope. He was scared, but his curiosity was greater than his fear. Rei tried to look at his palms hoping he could see bacteria or germs, but he didn't. He only saw a spider-like animal of a different color than the one he saw on his blanket.

"Well I'll name you Alpha," said the boy, pointing at his palm.

While lying down Rei observed Alpha on his pillow, on his sheets, and almost everything. The creature spreads out and each different color behaves differently. Some seem to destroy things and some are busy rearranging them.

Rei tried to lie down even though his back still hurt he felt bored when sleeping on his side. He stared at the ceiling of the hospital room, squinting out of curiosity maybe he could see Alpha on the ceiling of the hospital room. Turns out you can't, the ceiling is too far away to see the little beast. Rei accidentally looked at the end of the room, he saw something bigger than Alpha, its shape was like a slime hanging from the end of the ceiling. Rei thinks is that a gosht?

The shape is much different from the ghost figure on tv, this one is not cool. It's like jelly or slime, the child's toy-like creature moving around on the roof like playing. The dangling jelly seemed to be about to fall, and sure enough, it didn't take long for it to fall and hit a patient's body. The patient's heart detector immediately looked chaotic, and doctors ran to help by attaching a cardiac shock device to the patient's chest.

Rei was surprised he felt that the strange jelly was the culprit. The jelly jumped, and the creature pierced the bodies of everyone nearby and left the room. The patient's heart condition gradually recovered and the patient had passed his critical period. After seeing this incident, Rei began to understand that he had to avoid the strange colorful Jelly if he wanted to recover quickly.

Rei's condition, which quickly recovered, allowed the teenager to return home. The doctor felt a miracle because the scapula bone in Rei's back quickly returned to normal. Doctors just don't know that Rei often throws a creature he calls the evil Alpha (black color) from his body. The boy prefers to keep a good Alpha (white color) to release on his sore shoulder. According to Rei's abnormal vision, the Black Alpha has the task of destroying the human body, while the White Alpha is in charge of repairing it.So when you are sick, just multiply the number of white Alpha so that the pain gets better quickly. At Aunt Laura's house, Rei can also see Jelly-like creatures roaming around, but when the house is clean, Jelly's strangeness diminishes. Rei also noticed that there was a yellow jelly stuck to his aunt's head, maybe that's the reason why Aunt Laura often felt dizzy. But when Rei tried to say that he saw Jelly in his aunt's head, Rei had to meet with a team of doctors who re-examined his brain condition because his aunt felt his niece was hallucinating.

Since then Rei has been more reserved, he seems like a gloomy kid because he prefers to be quiet and pay attention to things, and sometimes smiles alone. Uncle James sent a psychiatrist to examine him but Rei still kept silent and didn't want to open up, the problem was that the teenager knew if he told him about what he had seen, he could have been immediately sent to a mental hospital by his uncle.
