5 I'm Not Human

Calestyn looked closely at Rei's face, her black eyes turning golden like Ewa Lani's. Rei moved back, he was only wary because the beautiful creature might bite him.

"Ewa Lani he is Dionne!" she said as she looked at his daughter.

Ewa Lani explains that Rei is Dionne, a term for a mixed-blood creature, namely a human child with the fairy.

"For a moment! I don't understand what you're saying, I understand that you guys are not human! Okay, I can understand" he said trying to calm down. "But me? What do you mean I'm not human?" Rei was confused.

"But that's the truth Rei, you're not human!" said Ewa Lani again.

"What do you know about humans? You see me? My head, my body, everything! I'm human! You who are not human!" said Rei insistently.

"I'm not human Rei, but neither are you!" said Ewa Lani confidently.

"What's the proof that I'm not human?" Rei asked for an explanation.

"Because you're William's son, your father was one of the prince of Iyork Nation! He is a fairy from Devoj ! Don't you realize you don't look like a human?" Ewa Lani took the glass-like crystal and showed Rei's current form.

Rei was shocked, his legs went weak, he saw that he was no longer like the Rei he used to be. He changed completely. His brown hair turned a golden color and was longer, his irises were fiery red, and after he see clearly his skin color changed to a reddish white. Only his pants and football shirt are normal and can prove that he is an earth human.

"Why am I like this? Is it because I ate the fruit you gave me earlier! Wasn't that when I arrived I was still normal!" said Rei still doubting.

"What normal? I saw that you were like this all along! That's why I said where are humans in the Igdrasil forest! That's because I really don't see you like humans!" Ewa Lani explained.

"Ewa Lani, he is still confused. Let him rest in the guest room and give him clothes and food!" said Calestyn commanding her daughter.

"Okay mom!" Ewa Lani said goodbye and asked Rei to calm down.

Rei walked unsteadily, he pinched his cheeks hoping he would wake up soon from his long nightmare. Ewa Lani walked down the corridor and showed a room in one corner of the palace. The room is very spacious, there is a bed made of flat and round crystal stones. The mattress was quite soft but unknown what plant fibers made it so soft and glowed.

"Meanwhile, this is your room! There are men's clothes, you just choose what you like! I'll wait for you downstairs to eat, at the end of this room there is a ladder you can go down to the dining room from there!" Ewa Lani explained as she left Rei in his new room.

Rei walked to the end of the room, saw clothes that had a strange shape, no hand holes, no head holes, just like sheets of plain dark fiber according to male characters. He took one, opened the sheet of cloth and the cloth moved like it wanted to stick to his skin. Rei was surprised because the clothes in that world could actually move. Rei took off his soccer shirt, put a beige, gray and black cloth, the cloth moved around to cover Rei's reddish body.

Rei stood in front of the glass crystal, the cloth moved as Rei wanted it to, making cool cuts and layers like a handsome wizard-style outfit from his favorite fictional movie. Now Rei looks handsome with his golden hair and red eyes. Maybe his hair and eyes are weird but Rei seems to be starting to like it. After changing clothes, Rei left the room, walked down the stairs to find where the dining room was. His stomach was already very hungry.

Rei looked at the long dining table, its crystal chairs and tables with seemingly delicious food. Ewa Lani looked at Rei she felt Rei's style of dress was not the same as others.

"The way you dress makes it clear that you are Dionne," she said

Rei sat down and accepted the dish served by the waiter whose head was like a bird with the arms of an ape. They floated up, carrying silver trays of fruit and other food. They were not as tall as guards, but short and round.

Quite strange food served by a strange waiter. Rei tried it a little, it didn't taste good, but it was still edible. Rei took the fruit, because according to him the taste of fruit was the most rational of the strange creatures' cooking. Rei tasted one by one, it turns out that there are ingredients that taste like potatoes and fish, Rei mixes his own food, it turns out that there is still a slightly familiar taste on his tongue. Ewa Lani saw it, the girl's face was surprised by the way Rei ate.

"When you're full we'll go!" said Ewa Lani.

"Go? Where to go?" Rei was curious.

"To the palace of your father, In Iyork Palace, where your father came from!" Ewa Lani looked at Rei seriously.

"You mean to my grandfather and brother's place in Arasely? Wow that looks like fun!" Rei replied without knowing what the Iyork people were like.

"But don't be happy just yet, maybe they are not happy with Dionne, especially if they know you are Anastasia's son!" explained Ewa Lani.

"Then I don't want to go there!" said Rei whose guts shrunk.

"It's fine, if you want to stay here forever as a servant in my house!" said Ewa Lani firmly.

"You mean?" Rei still didn't understand.

"We caretakers of Mount Caremella don't know how Anastasia can return to Earth, but William of the Iyork nation managed to stay with Anastasia on Earth and gave birth to a Dionne, that means the Iyork people know where the portal to your world is!" explained the girl with a cold expression on her face.

"So what happens if they don't want me?" asked Rei.

"They could just get rid of you!" replied Ewa Lani which instantly made Rei's hair stand on end.

"Does your noble mother Calestyn have no other solution?" Rei was curious.

"Didn't you hear? My mom told you to rest here, that means she doesn't have any plans to help you!" said Ewa Lani. "Same, like back when Anastasia came here!" Ewa Lani looked sad.

"Are you close to my mother?" asked Rei.

"I met her under the Igdrasil tree, she was your age at that time, because I couldn't find the portal to Earth he lived with me and we were quite close friends, it's just that she missed her parents and without my knowledge she asked the old fortune teller from Niflheim then go secretly nort of Arasely, where the Devojs live!" clearly Ewa Lani was serious.

"Then? What happened to my mother?" Rei was curious.

"I looked for her there, I've been looking for her for years but I never found her," Ewa Lani looked disappointed.

"Maybe she met my father, they fell in love, got married and lived on Earth!" Rei said continuing Ewa Lani's unfinished story.

"You don't know the Devoj! They are the stronger creatures in Arasely!" said Ewa Lani loudly. "We guardians of Mount Caramella don't have much power compared to the strength of the Iyork Nation, only because the Igdrasil tree that we guard makes this land holy and cannot be attacked by them!".

"But my father, he is a very good man, Mother and I, love him very much!" said Rei.

"I don't know the nature of the devoj people, but in Iyork they are different!"

"Does Iyork consist of diverse creatures?" Rei asked.

"Yeah! They are! But the death of your Mother and Father on Earth could be an explanation that someone are looking for them! Did you see with your own eyes that your mother and father died?" asked Ewa Lani.

"No, their bodies were already buried when I woke up from my coma," explained Rei.

Ewa lani's face grew serious. "I'm sure Anastasia and William aren't dead! They could be alive and here in Arasely!"
