I hatred you....Eden

[HINT: DO NOT DIE! IF YOU LOSE, YOUR BODY WILL EXPLORE CREATING MASSIVE DESTRUCTION IN YOUR CITY]

There was this hint below the task.

"Is my body a bomb?" thought Eden in his head when reading this, "but why torturing? What does torture have to do with a mission?" His heart sped in its pumping by reading the hint several times. He turned worried.

Torturing?

How will that be?

Will it be by words? To hurt feelings? Or will it be the worst of all?

If it's the second option then why is this system opening a path towards it? Won't it create paths to avoid it? Wasn't it planning to provide support? Isn't this why the system was made for?

Eden turned blank-headed by reading all this. He couldn't clear his thoughts from terror. A deadly phobia was creating growing in him when he learned the word 'torture'.

While he was seated on his broom lost in his thoughts, the knock repeated on the door.

Knock...

Knock….

"Eden, are you awake?"

"Ah! Yes, Mom!" replied the boy turning away from the system. He immediately got off the broom and answered the door, "Yes, what is it? Is it dinner time?" smiled Eden at his mother out of respect.

Though, he was well aware of the hatred this lady had towards him however, just for the title 'Mother' he never disobeyed. The mother nodded replying,

"The party is still on. You will have the leftovers of the party plates when all is over. You know very well, don't you?" she reminded him of his part.

"Yes, Mother I do. Just asking because I am starving." smiled the lad.

A trembling shock terrified the mother by his expression. Her entire structure began to shiver as her heartbeat sped up by viewing the boy in front of him, "Am I doing the right thing?" she thought inwards, "Is it alright to send him to those men? Won't it be risky?"

Her breath was choked with her eyes opened wide in terror, staring at the youth as she was frozen on her ground.

On the other side, the lad observed her trembling condition which puzzled him. It made him wonder whether she was ill or perhaps she must have been worn out due to the preparation of the party.

"Mother?" he called out unexpectedly, the lady's palm stretched to his shoulder, firmly resting her hand on it till it squeaked to his bones, "EH! Mother! OUCH! What are you doing?" It hurts"

However, the mother's eyes were darkened in fear. She shocked him back and forth, losing the boy's balance. He tried to keep a hold on his feet but the lady threw him away from the room and slammed the room's door. "What's wrong, Mother?" he exclaimed back at her in perplexity only to find her standing pale. She was sweating cold sweats, breathing heavily plus shaking like a drilling machine.

At this moment, the earing glowed surprising the host. A screen appeared with a question:

[DO YOU WISH TO SEEK WHAT SHE LEAPS WITHIN?]

"WHAT?" shocked Eden contesting himself, "Can the Magus system do that?" he was dumbfounded when the system repeated.

[Would you be able to read what SHE LEAPS WITHIN?]

Refusing a second thought, the youth shook his head as a response to the system.

[THE HOST HAS REFUSED THE REQUEST]

[GAIN NO EXP] The screen disappeared.

Eden was puzzled by this sudden request. He didn't have a second to think about the system's functioning. At this moment his mind was locked on the behavior of his so-called mother.

Why did she throw him away like a trash? What was she up to?

"What's the matter, Mother? Huh?" suddenly, the mother collapsed on the floor while holding her dress, "MOTHER!" he rushed to her ensuring her health however, the mother glared at him and pushed the boy away in force of hatred.

The lad was horrified by this as fear began to devour him.

A word of terror locked his moments by viewing her actions towards him, "Torture? Is this what the system asked me to hold on to?" thought the boy as he raised on his feet, "Will mother torture me? No, that's not it. If it was her, a stopwatch would appear, right?" questioned the lad as he tried looking around for any system screen holding up a count down.

He reminded himself that his mission was survival type and to perform that you might need a stopwatch unfortunately, there wasn't any around.

The countdown hasn't begun which means the mission hasn't started yet.

Upon thinking all this, Eden sighed convincing himself that everything was going to be alright. There is nothing to fear by the bow. He gazed at his mother, who was still locked in him. She caught up her breathe and spoke,

"Eden, there are some people outside willing to meet up with you. Go take a look"

"Huh?" puzzled the boy questioning, "Mother, who are they?"

"I DON'T KNOW!" yelled the mother at him. The youth locked his lips at her and nodded smiling.

He turned to the door speaking aloud, "Hey, Luminaire! Stay here till I return okay? Do not follow!" and he walked away.

"Luminaire?" perplexed the mother when she heard him talking aloud to the air. This name was given personally to the broom that was waiting in the room. It heard him and flew aside, standing by the wall.

The mother grew worried when she saw Eden taking distance away from her. She pulled herself up and called out, "EDEN!"

"MMM?" he paused turning back and growing pleasant to find her standing back on her feet, "You are okay, mother?" he asked like a gentleman.

"Yeah. But, please don't keep the people waiting." she requested, "Be careful".

This was the first time she ever felt emotion for him. She spoke a word that Eden longed to hear, which gave him a gentle feeling upon hearing it,

"Son.."

The lad nodded and left downstairs for the door. Mother behind didn't know why but tears began to float down her checks, dripping off her chin down on her chest and she cried,

"I...Eden...I am sorry but, I always hate you..."
