3 Men in black

Since there wasn't much to do in the orphanage, for the next two years I began teaching myself other languages besides the languages I already know: English and Chinese. In my spare time, and I had a lot of it, I taught myself French, Spanish, Japanese, Russian, Korean, and German. and by the time I was 4, I already fluently spoke French, Spanish, Russian, and Korean; with German and Japanese following close behind. I guess you could say I was a genius or maybe it was just because childrens' brain activity is higher than adults. Either way, I felt a great sense of success when I became fluent in 6 languages.

Although I was educating myself, I didn't slack on my physical prowess. I was slightly surprised that I could easily do 50 pushups as a 2 year old, but then I remembered that I should be a 3rd generation Obscenium-enhanced human which means my body is a lot stronger than the standards of children my age from 50 years ago; I could easily do 50 pushups, 50 sit-ups and 50 squats. Although this routine may sound simple, in the end I was still 2 and I didn't want to push my body too far before I even became an adult, so that became my routine for the next 2 years; 50 pushups, 50 sit-ups, and 50 squats every day for 2 years.

I was very excited at the prospect of awakening an eccentricity. Although I may be shunned by society for having the powers, I was already used to that from my previous life; moreover, I promised myself that I wouldn't be weak in this life and I was going to make sure that I never got discarded ever again.

Eccentrics are rare, but I really hope that I Awaken as one. When you awaken as an Eccentric, It's very covert and usually only you will know, unless your power is really flashy. The Awakening usually manifests as your powers unconsciously activating, so If your powers can not be detected by any of your 5 senses, you may never know that you're an Eccentric. Awakening can happen at any time in someone's life, but the most common age is 5 and that's what I'm waiting for.

As I was lost in my thoughts someone walked up to me.

Kid: "HI!"

As Mo He was lost in his thoughts, he didn't even notice the kid walk up to him. The kid noticed he was being ignored and raised his voice even higher.

Kid: "HII!!"

Mo He: "AH!"

The kid's voice was particularly loud, so Mo He noticed immediately.

Mo He: "Ow my ears. What was that for?!"

Kid: "Sorry I didn't mean to say it that loud, it just kinda came out. You weren't paying attention to me, so I thought you were ignoring me."

Mo He: "I was just thinking."

Kid: "Thinking? what's that?"

'ah, I forgot I'm talking to a 4 year old orphan with no education'

Mo He: "It's when you imagine stuff up here."

Mo He then pointed to his head.

Kid: "OH! I've done that before. I've also done that while I'm asleep too."

Mo He: "That's called dreaming."

Kid: "Wow, cool! You know so much stuff. Can we be friends?!"

Mo He was reluctant at first because If he awakens, this kid would definitely not want not be friends with him at that time, but then Mo He remembered how impressionable the mind's of children were, so If he teaches the kid not to hate or fear eccentrics, then he won't go down that path.

Mo He: "sure let's be friends."

For the next 6 months, Mo He and the kid gradually got to know each other. Mo He found out that the kid's name was Wen Yi and he just told the kid his name was Mo He since he didn't know his name in this life. Mo He taught Wen Yi many things during their time together like a bunch of different words, but one thing stuck with Wen Yi and that was the word brain.

He started calling me brainy after a while because of all the things I knew so I responded by calling him chatty because of how much he talked. From then on we just called each other by those names and didn't use our actual names. We were both the same age so we got along quite nicely. The 6 months we spent together were fun and they went by really quickly.

During the 7th month however, something happened.

*knock**knock**knock*

There was a knock on the door and one of the caretakers went to answer it.

ka-chack

caretaker: "hello, can I help you?", she said with a smile.

???: "Yes, we're here on behalf of frosp city's orphanage. They're requesting a transfer of 3 of your children"

The caretaker frowned at this statement.

caretaker: "On what basis and by whose authority?"

representative #2: "Director Zhao has requested that you transfer 3 of your children over to our branch"

The caretaker paled at the mention of director Zhao; she didn't have the authority to refuse this request.

caretaker: "On what basis?", the caretaker restated in a grave tone.

representative #3: "That is classified information that we have no obligation to reveal to you."

The caretaker frowned even deeper.

caretaker: "If you have nothing else to say, then you can leave now."

As she intended to shut the door, it was blocked by one of the representatives' hands.

representative #1: "Although we said it was a request this is actually an order that you don't have the authority to refuse, and unless you want to make a scene in a building full of children then I suggest you cooperate.", he whispered in the caretaker's ear.

Hearing this, the caretaker surrendered and opened the door to which the men in black proceeded to the 9-12 wing.

Chatty: "Those men are mean! They forced that nice lady to let them in."

Brainy: "You could hear their conversation from all the way over here?! You must have some great hearing."

Chatty: "yeah, I've had it for as long as I can remember. I'm a genus aren't I."

Chatty puffed out his chest in pride.

Mo He rolled his eyes.

Brainy: "It's genius not genus you idiot"

Chatty: "Oh!"

Chatty quickly recovered from his proud state.

But Mo He had to admit, the kid had talent. So far he's memorized most of the words Mo He had taught him and his hearing was indeed great.

As they were talking, the men in black walked out of the 9-12 wing with a kid behind them and started walking towards the room Mo He and Wen Yi were in.
