1 Prologue - Let's Start Over

A handsome young man with messy black hair and piercing yellow eyes was sitting in a Japanese styled room in front of a middle aged man having a conversation.

"So you're telling me I've died...?" Spoke the young man while taking a sip of tea.

"That just about sums it up, I'm curious about why you're so calm though." Replied the middle aged man with interest in his eyes.

"It's quite simple really, since it's already happened there's no use thinking about it now, I'm more concerned about what will be happening to me after our conversation." Said the young man with a calm expression on his face.

"Well, normally you'd be sent to the reincarnation queue and then have your memories wiped and sent on to your new life, however, I'm going to make an exception with you and allow you to choose where you're gonna go with your memories intact and some extra gifts to help you out." The middle aged man spoke with playfulness written on his face.

"I'm assuming there's no special reason you've chosen me over the others because of the expression on your face, even if there is I'm not too curious about what thoughts you have in mind." Replied the young man, after speaking he immediately continued without interruption.

"I'd like to go to the Pokemon world, more specifically the animation version." Hearing this, the man had a curious expression on his face.

"Why did you choose the animation world of Pokemon? I would have thought that a person with a track record like you would have chosen a more... hands on type of world." After taking a sip of his own tea, he asked.

"Firstly, why I chose Pokemon is because compared to others is that it's relatively safer, although there is still danger, it's not as dangerous compared to certain anime worlds where death can come for you at any time, second, the animation is far more detailed compared to the games so it would provide a far more useful advantage." Said the young man.

"You're smarter than most lad, I'll give you that. Alright, now that you've chosen let's go over the details, the gifts you receive will comprise of 6 different things related to Pokemon of your own choice, it could be Pokemon, Pokemon Eggs, Items, or Abilities that humans can obtain in Pokemon, of course you can ask for other things as long as they aren't related to any other world, go ahead and think about your choices." Explained the man.

"Alright I've decided, firstly, I'm going to bring my Zacian from my Pokemon Sword save file, I assume that's allowed?" Asked the young man.

"An interesting choice, I would have thought you would have wanted to start fresh like most others, but yes this is allowed." Answered the man as he looked slightly amused.

"While starting fresh would indeed seem fun and nice, it would be an ultimately stupid choice, I also wish to start anew but without the strength to protect myself and my Pokemon I would just get myself killed by the criminal organizations that run amok in the world, and what better protection than a Legendary Pokemon that is known as the King's Sword?" Spoke the young man

"Secondly, I wish to take a Mega Evolution Keystone with me, preferably embedded into an earring. Thirdly, I'd like to obtain the power of Aura, it would be quite useful on my journey." The man just nodded and gestured for the young man to continue speaking.

"Fourth, I'd like to set the time I'm born as relatively the same age as the younger champions such as Steven, Lance, Diantha, Cynthia, and Wallace. Fifth, I'd like to have a storage space the size of a medium sized room. Sixth, I'd like to be able to have an appraisal function so I can see information of Pokemon, of course I'd like to be able to only see the level of enemy Pokemon during a battle just like the games otherwise there would be no fun in a battle." The young man took a breath as he finished talking, he glanced at the man if there were any problems with his requests.

"You sure have some interesting choices, you used half of your wishes on things I didn't expect, it's been quite a while since I've seen someone like you." Finished the man as he had a smile on his face.

"Would that be all? If so I'll send you on your way." After receiving a nod from the young man he was about to snap his fingers but he stopped last second and asked the young man a question."

"One thing, I don't think I caught your name young man, do let me know, I have a feeling you'll be quite amusing to watch in the future." Asked the man.

"My name? It's just V." The young man replied with a smirk.

And with that the middle aged man snapped his fingers and V disappeared from the room.
