Eating Contest

A cow, an alligator, and an elephant are having an eating contest, the first animal had finished eating a pile of grass in the shortest time will win the contest.

The cow has snatched up bites of grass from the Valley View Meadow and split the grass into three piles. Then the cow declares, "We are going to have an eating contest, the first animal to have finished eating a pile of grass in the shortest time will win the contest."

The elephant grabs a chunk of grass with its trunk and curves the trunk to bring the grass to its mouth, lowing triumphantly when it has finished its pile of grass.

The cow first takes a bite of grass from the pile, and chews very little before it swallows the grass. Then the cow regurgitates to bring the grass back into her mouth from the stomach, to help the cow to digest its food. Then the cow takes a second bite of grass from the pile. When the cow has finished its pile of grass, it makes a deep long lowing sound.

The alligator snaps up the whole pile of grass and swallows it in one bite, snapping its jaw for the regurgitated grass from the cow, winning the contest.
