1 Monster killing
In a small house, a medium height man is opening a package with his knife. It seems to make a lot of noises in the dim and lonely house.
The package arrived this morning with the label "Fantasy world" on it. It is a new product from a big corporation called Giovanna whose aim is to give the best form of entertainment and gain a lot of money. Obviously, I added the last part.
My name is Soup, a common name I know. I am pretty bored anyway so I feel like talking to myself can relieve some of it, maybe talking about the past to kill some time.
Anyway, I win the lottery. A pretty big step up I know but honestly I am not excited because of the money but because everyone around me is excited.
I give everyone most of the money for their field trip including my parents, that why I am alone in the house right now. I am not really an outdoor person you see, I used to be but not anymore.
They felt that I was too selfless so they bought me this package with the many connections they have but I honestly have no idea what is inside this box.
I have no idea but it is nice to see a neat design package. The design makes me reluctant to open it, hopefully, what's inside is better than the outside. I used to question that a lot when I see a celebrity. Not that I have to worry about that before, but now I am getting considerable attention from the media and it made me giddy.
After a minute or so of stabbing the package mercilessly, he opens the package up to reveal a headset with the logo "Boring" branded on top of it in a neat cursive letter.
Curious on what it is, he tried it on and immediately feel dizzy then suddenly he couldn't feel the connection to his physical body. If he could see himself right now, he would have found that his body has slumped to the floor unmoving.
What Soup failed to notice before putting on the headset is a big red warning sign that said, "Find a comfortable position and spot before putting it on!"
He would have put it on regardless because the consequence of such action is not properly explained and he always has that nature of trying something out.
Soup just felt a sudden change in scenery and immediately he counted his finger to check if he is in a dream which he found out he was not.
When this realization dawns on him, he became cautious and focus. A little bit of sound can put him in a high alert.
The scenery suddenly turns blue and a menu screen pop up with a vast field behind it, showing mountains and nature. The menu has three simple selection of 'play', 'option' and 'exit'.
He decided to press play and disregarded the options menu. Experience without learning is better than learning without experience after all. He can't plan a good setting if he didn't experience the game first after all.
In a flash of blinding light, Soup appears in the center of a village. The first thing he does is to walk around towns trying to figure things out.
This village looks pretty neat and bustling with activity. My mom and dad are just too worried that I will be lonely. But, I will have to thank them later for sending me this interesting device that can allow me to play a virtual reality game.
Umm..?
Passing past a certain store selling vegetable and fruits, he saw a professional stealing action going on. One of the kids talk to the granny to occupied her and when she is not aware, another kid goes swiftly and put a bagful of food into his bag and sprint away. Due to the crowd, the owner of the store soon loses sight of the kid and angrily turn around to another kid to find that he disappears!
Soup saw everything, it was a coordinated act. The kids have a lot of backup and children helping them. One of them stays on the roof and act as a backup to catch the bag of food in case anything goes wrong, while the other help pulls up the kid responsible for distracting the granny and get away.
Soup is honestly in awed yet terrified. He didn't chase the thieves since it would be to cliche and he wouldn't be an able to catches the kid anyway with his level one stats.
What he does is to go out of the village safe zone and hunt some monsters.
Horn rabbit

Just as he goes out of the safe zone, he saw an unsuspecting rabbit lazing around with its back facing him. He didn't dare come close to it though since he saw its ear constantly twitch and move in response to moving grasses in its surrounding. He wonders why an enhanced hearing is not one of its strength.
[Enchance hearing] found.
Umm? Soup check the rabbit stats again.

Seem pretty legit. So the reason the rabbit has no weakness shown yet is that I haven't found its weakness? Since it has enhanced hearing then won't loud sound be effective to it?
[Loud sound] weakness found.
Great, but this doesn't give me anything.
Sneaking closer to the rabbit, he is soon two meters behind it. He prepared to get closer but hear the rabbit start to sniff rapidly and turns around suddenly.
[Sensitive nose] strength found.
[Strong smell] weakness found.
[Sneak] skill learned. Proficiency 1/100.

Glancing through the notification he has got, his face blanks out. At that moment, because of the title Soup didn't react in time to the sudden attack initiated by the rabbit and he gotten pierced clean through.

Seeing through all this notification, Soup silently stares at the great white rabbit in front of him trying to engrave its face into his mind. The rabbit stares back at him and starts to do its attack once again, this time he could hear a mortal kombat "do your fatality" playing at the back of his head.
The rabbit, using its strong legs as a spring propel towards Soup at break necking speed and stab clean through his skull.

Note: You think you are the one killing the monster? Well, tough luck player! The monster is the one killing you! This title can make a lot of people misunderstand that you actually kill a monster though, so don't worry. Here is a basic healing newbie, you will need this to fix up the injuries when the monster is done with you. Can't let the doctor waste time healing you back since you may end up in the same stage, consider yourself and a million others lucky.
