10 Krisis

Jax wasn't having the best evening, turns out while he was here watching the new champion, Sonya returned to their base and brought along a ....visitor? Anyways now that Blade's back I can fully focus on Cole.

Good fighter, no defensive sense whatsoever. In a street fight he might get a few hits in, but he'd never live long fighting like that. I sat in my S.U.V. down the street from him and his family as I pulled my jacket in a little tighter. It was getting cold. Too cold for this season.

I reached to my heater to turn it on, only to find it half frozen in literal ice. Despite the shock I look around to see all of the surrounding slowly freezing off. I knew this was bad news. I remember Ben telling us about that Sub-Zero guy who could freeze things.

So is he coming for me? Or for Cole? Without waiting I turn the car around and start driving directly for the family as I see icicles start rising in the air before slamming down into the street crushing everything in its path. The streets turn chaotic as citizens rush around trying not to get impaled or beaten by the sharp unnatural hail.

Pulling up next to the young family I throw open the door and yell "GET IN! NOW, HURRY!" The family took half a second before sprinting to the car with Cole taking shotgun and the ladies in the back. I look through my reverse mirror to see a dude in a blue gi walking towards us as a sword of ice formed in his hands.

I don't hesitate to slam on the gas causing the car to kick it in overdrive. What did Ben always say when driving fast? 'Let's Rev it up!'

The engine roars as the car speeds down the street outpacing the ice that's covering the road behind us.

"WHATS GOING ON? WHO WAS THAT?" Cole asked out of desperation and fear. "WAS HE AFTER US?"

"To be more precise Cole, he's after you."

"Me? Look man I don't have that much money and I'm not even that famous anymore why would he want me?"

"Its because of this" I answered him showing my mark.

"My birthmark?"

"Its not a birthmark Cole, it's a symbol. A calling card that you've been chosen."

"Chosen? For what? I didn't sign up for this."

"Chosen to fight. And none of us signed up for this, we were all chosen and now you have a choice to make as well."

"I don't want this! I just wanted to retire peacefully I want no part in this."

"Well then let me rephrase it," I say stopping the car as the blue ninja appeared before us, "The moment that mark showed up on you it meant you fight or you die. Now get going new guy, I set the gps all you have to do is follow it. Look for Sonya, tell her I sent you. I'll catch up later but for now getting to Sonya is the safest option for you and your family."

"Wait you can't be serious?"

Ignoring him I walk out the car to the trunk and grab my flamethrower, its a good thing I Carry it around after knowing about an ice wielding sociopath.

"Cole you have questions, I don't have time to answer. Take your family and go, Remember Sonya Blade. Now get going Cole."

I looked the young man in his eyes as the firm resolution took over and he jumped seats before throwing the car in reverse. I put my eyes on my opponent, "So youre Sub-Zero?"

The man doesn't speak or move but I felt the pressure around me increasing, so I pull the trigger letting loose a small flame warming up the surroundings and decreasing the pressure around me a little bit, "I'm all fired up."

[Mileena P.O.V]

Walking down the palace halls I couldn't help but feel a bit of nervousness, it's been almost a year since I last saw Shang Tsung but I guess now he needs me again. Typical.

Sent me on an almost suicide mission, only to not care about my life, death, or recovery, yet stills summons me like I'm his pet. I feel my jaw line itching meaning I need to calm down before the inner Tarkatan comes out. Taking a deep breath as I approached his door I let out all my nerves and enter the chambers.

"My Lord you have called for me?" I say with a half bow before looking at Shang Tsung, the bastard sits there with clean skin and clothes, wines and rich foods while most of those under him starve and can barely find water.

"Yes Mileena, I'm in need of your assistance."

"What do you need me to do?"

"Its simple really. Just a few small jobs and you will be rewarded appropriately."

Tch. Risking my life for a few gallons of dirty water? Bitch I take baths with my boyfriend at night in cleaner water than your rewards.

"What tasks await me?" I pondered as I got the feeling he just wanted a spy.

"Your people have recently moved out far to the old Edenian lands. Surely you have heard."

"Yes sir I have, but as you know I'm not very accepted by the clans." I knew it. Spy. Called it.

"It matters not, I just need you to check what's worth moving all that for. Surely you can do this?"

Grrrr "Easily."

"Good good. I knew I could can't on you, oh before I forget do check up on Earthland when you get a moment, we shall be making a trip soon enough and your abilities will be needed then."

"Yes sir, I shall keep it in mind." For Benjamin.

"Thats all, you're dismissed."

With a quick bow I walk away to go inform Ben how right he was. It's almost time to act and Shang Tsung I promise you'll be the one dying to my fangs soon enough.

Meanwhile back in the throne room

"Sir should we keep an eye on her? She seemed...."

"Dissatisfied Kabal. Look closely you can see the scar on her abdominal area, meaning she was injured, it's been a while since we needed her so naturally she would be bitter about abandonment, yet she's not stupid. Shao isn't my opponent and soon Earthrealm will be mine. Let her finish her jobs and then she shall either fully bow to me or join the other corpses at my feet."

"...sigh Whatever you say boss man. Anyways the Reptile has been delivered and will arrive to their base soon enough. On the other hand Raiden has learned of our actions and he's taken it upon himself to collect the last champions and host them himself."

Hmmm that could be problematic if we actually waited for the tournament but now that we're set on attacking then just do it.

"Soon all the pieces shall be in play, yet I get this uneasy feeling that something unexpected will happen. "

Well it matters not. For I am inevitable.
