Preperation

[Day 1]

Ash's blood was boiling yet he knew that he needed to calm down. He took three deep breaths.He then replied to the group chat.

Ash:Is that true?

Amber:Yeah it's true I found other news.

Underneath it were several other links. They were news saying the same thing.

Zack:Yup it's true.I think the government did not allow the media to release the news until 12:00.It says it happened at 11:30.

Ash:IsCode Z Alpha really happening?

Code Z Alpha, that was the code they agreed to refer to a zombie apocalypse to avoid panicking people and also to avoid making people think they're crazy.Z means zombie while Alpha means apocalypse.

Zack:Not confirmed.

Amber:I think it's happening but the government is trying to cover it up.

Jake:What for?

Amber:To avoid causing panic idiot.

Ash:Let's not waste time talking here.We still have time to prepare if it's going towards the here. Let's survive this everyone

Amber:Let's just hope it will not happen.

Zack:Remember the plan and the meeting place.

Ash then closed the group chat and checked the online map on his phone. It was at least 1 and a half hour drive from there to get to here. He was currently at Makati City.He was sure the infected would try to come to Metro Manila since it has the most dense population nearest to the crash site.It was thirty minutes since it happened so he now only had an hour. At least the police or military could hinder the infected buying him more time to prepare.

He checked his money and found out he only has 50 pesos (equivalent to a dollar).

He can only buy a couple of canned goods

and some noodles.

Not wanting to waste more time he immedietly ran to the cafeteria.His speed was shockingly fast.He ran from the fourth floor to the first floor at only 12 seconds.He didn't even broke a sweat.

This time the line was a bit short but he still went to the front of the line. He bought one ramen noodle and two canned sardines.

He was about to go out of the cafeteria when he heard several gunshots.

BANG!!!

It was then followed by a scream of a man in pain.

AHHH!!!

Just the gunshots was enough to give the signal too Ash. When the scream was heard he was already racing up the stairs at the fastest speed he has.

When he was inside his classroom he closed the door and locked it. But that wasn't enough for him. He also used the two cabinets to barricade the doors.Several screams of pain, agony and fear could be heard outside but he has no intention to help them.He was alone now. This was the Apocalypse.The Armagedon.The Ragnarok.

The ones who will be heroes are not the one who saves lives but the ones who survive.

He needed to prepare while it's in it's early stages.Most people won't dare go out in it's early stages. When it already got worst that is when they will dare go out.

There were many advantages at the early stages of apocalypse.

Less people to fight with,more supplies,less zombies,no zombie mutations.

He then looked around for things he could bring. He checked the cabinets and found some magnets, flashlights,alcohol lamps,some knife for dissecting animals, and duct tapes.

He also checked his classmate's bags and found some phones, cutters,scissors,water bottles and snacks.

He took one of his classmate's bag which was more bigger and comfortable.He also found an insulated water bottle.

The screams was now much nearer.

Ash decided to check the situation outside by the window. He saw a boy climbing out of the window. Inside the room he saw about three zombies.Fear was written on his face. Then he jumped.

He landed with his legs.He cried out in pain. Even though he survived he must have broken his legs disabling him to move. His cry attracted a lot of infected.

"He should have just landed on his head. At least he won't feel much pain. "Ash mumbled.

Due to the boy's panic he didn't even thought of any other solution. He could have just jumped to the ledge beside the window.

Ash then took a mop from the room and remove the mop head from it.He attached the knife firmly to the mop using the duct tape. He now has a makeshift spear.He tried to use it waving it around.He accidentally knocked some books off a table.

Bang!

Bang!

Several pounding could be heard from the door followed by roars and moans.

"I guess I have to take my leave now"Ash said.

He then tied a handkerchief around his face using it as a mask to block the smell of blood.He then wear a jacket and it's hood.He put his earphones on his ear.

With music sounding through his ears he climbed out of the window.
