Jordan made it in and even before they could close the gate Jack rushed in and shouted.

"Where is the rest!" Jordan "they will come, they just needed to rest a bit, give it five minutes and they will be here" Jack "they better do or" Jordan "or what?" Jordan began to shout so as many people as possible could hear him "You send me to babysit your chosen group of idiots and all they did was complaining and cursing at me, yet you want me to just let them spout their bullshit while contributing almost nothing?"

Jack didn't know what to say at that but Jordan wasn't done yet "or are you saying it´s ok because they have awakened so they can do whatever they want and I am a demon so I should shut up and do what am I told?" More and more people started to come and listened to the conversation, Jack started to panic upon seeing this and tried to defuse the situation, everyone was tense and any distribution can start a fire he may not be able to put out.

Jordan began speaking to the people gathered here "I have power and yet look at how your so-called guardians treat me if they treat me like that how will they treat you after some time passes? They are incompetent and drunk with power, they will do whatever they please and you won´t be able to do anything, I can put them in their place but can you? I beat them to repay them for how they treated me but you won´t be able to do the same, if you want, tomorrow morning come with me, I will begin new settlement, you will have to put in a lot of work but you will all be treated as equals as human beings that you once were, the only thing in exchange I want is hard work and dedication, there is no place now for people that can´t even do that" Jordan spouted some bullshit he himself didn't believe in, for now, he needed people to come, anything else will come later.

Jack could only helplessly look as Jordan left after he finished his speech.

Jordan returned to his room and took one of the two corpses he brought, he quickly butchered it and took out its heart before eating it, this time the beast was of wind elements and its taste was hard to describe, it almost tasted like meat with bubbles.

After quickly eating the heart Jordan hanged out outside of his room and leaned against the door and began to practice with mana, soon the rest of the group will come back, and they may try to make trouble so he must be prepared.

Marie together with others made it to the settlement, Eric was carried by others because he was still knocked out and just as they got in they began to shout "HELP US THE DEMON BETRAYED US" while she was shouting few people looked over and some with a complicated look, disappointed or even disgusted looks stared at them, the guard went and helped them while they also took their shopping carts.

Marie began to be hysteric and her voice was starting to shake, just then Jack came "come with me" Marie "WHATS HAPPENING" Jack "SHUT UP and come with me" they went to the empty classroom where Sophie was already waiting, she was the second angel that awakened and just like Jack she had pair of small wings on her back, together with Jack they began to heal the expedition while Marie was bombarding them with questions "HOW DID YOU PUNISHED HIM? HAVE HE EVEN COME HERE?"

Jack couldn't stand it anymore and shouted, "SHUT UP, I will tell once I heal you all!" Jack and Sophie could produce a small stream of light that could be used to repel the beast or heal injuries.

The stream of light wasn´t the only power those two angels had, they also had slightly increased strength, moderately increased handling of mana and both had awakened brain as the center of power but they weren´t attuned to any element, the wings they had allowed them to affect people to a various degree when injected with mana they could choose to spread something like very thin almost invisible white mist to their surrounding and when they spoke or performed any act in that area they would look incredibly dignified and if they persuaded someone like that it was really easy to affect them, people with weak minds could even begin to believe the sky was orange if told so.

Also, when they infused their wings with mana they could float 1 cm above ground for a second, well only when they focused on it for a while, it was obvious that the wings were still too weak for flight, and lastly, they could say when ordinary person lied, it was like a sixth sense that told them but it didn't work for awakened, maybe their mana was equal and that jammed it.

But neither Sophie nor Jack misused this power, they believed that people should have their own opinion and freedom of speech, generally, they were very optimistic and sort of above the whole apocalyptic situation thing, nowadays they rather began to feel pity for the survivors and felt obligated to guide them, their character was rather good if it wasn't they wouldn´t mutate to angels.

But that changed with Jordan who was an enigma with which they didn't know what to do, their instincts were telling them to get rid of him but the situation wasn't that easy.

Sophie was for immediate exile or even for killing him, for her he was an unnecessary threat that will for sure come to haunt them in the future, Jack was of similar belief but was rather for a good relationship for possible future prospect.

Sophie was quietly against it but now things escalated and they will have to decide how will they handle the situation.

After Jack and Sophie healed the group and Eric woke up, he gave them a quick summary, Eric "WHAT? That bastard is still there!?!"

Eric was about to run off when Jack stopped him "and just where do you think you are going?!" Sophie "after what Jordan said everyone is looking at you through fingers, they don't trust you, your little act when you returned only made things worse, not only that he beat you all alone he even confessed it and said why he did it, and many of the people here agree with what he did…" Eric and Marie simultaneously "WHAT?" Jack "yes, is it true, you don't behave exactly perfect and with his little speech many rumors surfaced, he will leave tomorrow so we will let him and hopefully that will be the end of it"

Sophie looked incredibly displeased and so did Eric with Marie those two just stared at Jack with an open mouth. Jack "You all will stay here until he leaves, I and Sophie will overlook the situation"

Eric "wait! You can´t le-" Jack "BE QUIET, that´s enough, I know how you feel but that´s how it will be.". Upon saying that Jack left the room.

Jack indeed left but Sophie stayed behind, and just as Jack left she was bombarded with complaints. Sophie "SHH.. now listen to me!" then Sophie began to tell them her plan.

Jordan was looking out of a window, it was already evening and nobody tried to mess with him which quite surprised him but still, he focused on his surroundings with his all, he didn't believe they would give up so easily.

It was the fourteen-day since the mana appeared and the beams appeared once again, this time in a much smaller number, only a few dozens came but this time in the white beams black ones were mixed in.

Before Jordan could even react, the black beam enveloped him and took him away.
