Freezer

Jordan spends the morning relatively freely, he rolled on the ground for a while and when he was calmed down and rested enough he checked on how the worked goblins hauled the dead bodies of the rats, there was space in the fortress that served as a small garden with flowers and few chairs for sitting, well the space was empty before now there was 7 meters tall and 15-meter wide pile of rat´s dead bodies.

Jordan "at least the problem with food is solved, for now, that is if I find a way to prevent spoiling… well there are those rituals..."

With another ritual to create a giant freezer Jordan had the rest of the afternoon spelled out for him, he needed to soak another round of paper in beast´s blood and modify the circle for what he needs.

And while Jordan worked his beasts didn't laze around well, only the beasts that participated in the battle were allowed to rest or feast on the rats, the rest was hauling the corpses and "cleaning" the streets.

But one good thing was that if Jordan adds the rat carcasses to the supplies he should have enough food for months, that is if the number of beasts under Jordan doesn't increase by some huge margin.

The increase of beasts under Jordan was one of his concerns, Jordan doesn't mind if the beasts that evolved from dogs, cats, cows, or any interesting species joins him, but the rats are the complete opposite.

The rats need a constant supply of food and their number increase exponentially, goblins are impotent when compared to the rats, so the problem was, ´if I let the rats reproduce then in few months a can sweep the town clean and kill everyone but the problem would be I will lose any foothold, I would have to travel from town to town to keep them fed until someone comes with some tactic bit advanced than that mine and kill all the rats off, I could prevent that by fighting together with the rats but still... it´s too impractical, I would sacrifice the future for a momentary gain of power, that won´t do, looks like I will have to sacrifice all the big rats in a suicidal attack, and as for the ratmans… I will test their abilities and then decide´

Jordan went and checked on the 30 or so ratmans that were now under him, the ratmans were hauling and eating the corpses of the other dead rats like nothing, not bothered in the least that they were eating their own kin.

The ratmans were a bit over a meter tall and had a small build, hands like humans with fingers that were with long and sharp nails, and their bodies were covered in fur, their heads were that of a rat, nothing special but Jordan saw how some of them in the battle used simple magic so maybe they weren't so useless.

Jordan thought ´maybe I can create a pit where I throw all of the ratmans, I will visit them once a month and bring them food while also taking out the strongest ones to fight for me, that could work´ With this there was one more possible project for the already overburdened goblin workers.

Now that this was out of the way Jordan returned and focused on the "freezer ritual" in fact the ritual was quite easy, the process of creating his first spell and the ritual to remember it was more difficult but Jordan had to create a ring big enough from the paper soaked in blood to cover the pile of dead rats and that took a bit of time.

Luckily Jordan calculated and he won´t need much fuel for this ritual, as he only needs a constant temperature of around 0°C he can just create a ritual that absorbs the mana from the air and sometimes resupply it with his own mana or the centers of power if he wanted anything more complicated he will have to use the crystals that are also used for money or some other sort of "mana battery".

With this done Jordan spread the paper soaked in beast´s blood in a circle around the pile of dead bodies and then he began to draw on the paper symbols, there was one circle that was maintaining mana suction from the air and then there was another one that will keep the temperature -1°C in dome 10 meters high above the circle.

Jordan drew the circle for several hours the amount of liquid mana required was quite big and Jordan had to wait for his mana to recover several times and by the time he was done, the mana symbols he drew first were almost dispersed.

Jordan drew the last symbol in the air and all the paper soaked in beasts blood began to burn with blue flame just like the ritual for memorizing spell but this time there was no pain, and when the flames stopped there was a see-through version of the circle lightly floating about 1 cm above the ground.

Satisfied Jordan nodded his head, for now, the problem with the rotting meat is solved.

It took half a day to set the ritual and when was Jordan done the sun was already setting.

With the rats gone the night should be relatively safe now but with all the blood in the streets Jordan decided to increase the number of beasts that patrolled the area until the bodies in the freezer completely freeze and the blood in the streets dry up as there will be a strong smell of blood that will probably bait many beasts there.

Well if any strong beasts came Jordan would welcome them with open arms to his ranks.

It got dark and Jordan was thinking while sitting on a chair, he was thinking about the battle he went through and while doing so he wrote any ideas for future improvement in his notebook, so far what he came up with was that he lacks experiences, he could organize the battle much better, he could make a group of beasts that would attack the rats from behind and ease the tension.

If he had a big number of goblins he could make the walls higher with only slits for spears.

There was much to improve and Jordan thought about as many possibilities as he could, he didn't think that he will be forced to fight rats sometime soon but there was still much he could learn from the battle.

When was Jordan done with this he began to fetch some cloth for himself, right now he was almost naked as every piece of cloth he found was too small, it looks like he will be forced to buy some cloth at the moon platform.

But for now, some loose tank top and loose shorts will do, even though that they were very tight for him as every, yes every part of him got significantly bigger, Jordan was now quite the stallion ´demons truly are armed with lethal weapons from nature´

As for boots Jordan didn't found any that were close to his size so, for now, he walked with bare feet, even so, his skin was now significantly harder and more resilient so it was fine even when he stepped on glass shards.

But there was still the problem with his beasts, they shit whatever they wanted so he had to look very carefully to not step in some surprise.

It was close to midnight of the 27th day after the mana came, Jordan was reading the tome for magic and was a bit restless, he wanted to "visit" the demon camp his beasts located and planned to invade tomorrow. It got to a point where he began to think ´little scouting wouldn't hurt would it?´

Rather than forcing himself to read Jordan decided to go on a midnight walk, he called Luna the cat beast in the second phase and let her lead him to the discovered demon camp.

Jordan moved slowly while being led by Luna, Jordan still wasn't used to his upgraded body, the increase in size was weird for Jordan, everything was smaller and while his range increased.

But Jordan was getting the hang of it pretty quickly, after all, it was still his body through and through.

It took about half an hour until Jordan and Luna made it close to the camp, Jordan choose one tower block and went to the top to look at the demon camp, with his boosted senses Jordan could see much better then normal humans and there was also one more thing he discovered.

Mana could be freely shaped and transformed and so Jordan came up with the idea of mana telescope, in fact, it was just shaped ice that was hold by raw mana, the telescope needed to be adjusted every time but for now, it was Jordan´s best spying device.

Jordan looked through the telescope and found that everything was blurry, after a while of fine adjustments he could finally see, he scanned the camp and looked for any clues but what he saw quite shocked him, he wasn't even sure if he wanted such demons to work for him.

Jordan looked several times and even checked to make sure but what he saw didn't change, there was orgy happening in the camp right now, about ten men and what he assumed was a succubus were engaging in the act while another group of men was waiting to participate, there were also two other demons Jordan saw, one was small about 1,5 meter with one horn from his head and also red skin, second one was normal looking one with only want one horn sprouting from his forehead and these two were also waiting in a line.

As for the succubus, there were bat wings on her backs and goat-like legs that went to her knees and surprisingly no horns but Jordan couldn't be sure as he was quite far.

One thing that disturbed Jordan were the humans, there were many women and men locked in improvised cages, there were no children as they were taken away by the beams and that was probably for the best.

From the cages all the humans could see the orgy that was happening before them, it looks like the succubus like it that way.

Jordan ´hopefully not every demon´s like that…´ But from what Jordan saw, it looks like there is a chance to get some free manpower, well, tomorrow night it is.
