1 Unang Kabanata- A Day in The Orphanage

"Ate Jaira, mata na. Udto na kaayo o."

Reyna giggled as She tried to wake her friend up. In truth, it was still 4:30 in the morning.

"Ha?! Hala patay, magiging late na naman ako. First day of school pa lang!"  Jaira jumped out of the bed, running to the bathroom only to find out about the real time seconds later.

"Reyna, it's still 4:30."

"I know."

"Excited much?" Reyna nodded.

Jaira sighed and sat on the bed. "Reyna, you know that school starts usually at seven or eight, right?"

"Of course, I know that pretty well," Reyna sat beside Jaira, "but I love school."

"Well, just contain your excitement, okay?"

"Well, why not wait to be the earliest?"

"Oh Reyna."

This is my first original book. The first chapter might be short but, it's just the beginning. For those who don't understand some sentences, here are translations.

"Ate Jaira, mata na. Udto na kaayo o." - Ate Jaira, wake up, it's already late.

"Ha?! Hala patay, magiging late na naman ako. First day of school pa lang!" - What?! I'm dead, I'm going to be late again. It's still the first day of school!

For those who wondered, 'Ate' means big sister in Filipino.

And I did not use google translate, knowing that it would butcher some words. I used my own tongue for this. If you typed 'Itak' (A weapon, machete, I think.) To be translated to English, boi, it will trigger.
