"THREE...TWO...ONE...GRRRR..." My heart was racing, pounding. God! Help me! No. I chose to be here and I have always wanted this. Why was am I so scared! Without realizing the words slipped out of my mouth. "Maybe because we're in a death machine!" cried my best friend. I held back a laugh when a wide grin escaped my face. At least I was doing this with her. My entire life I had been waiting up for this moment...I cannot waste it being scared.

HMMMMM...I can feel the heat against the side of the space shuttle. Excited, but nervous I clutch the seatbelt. It stopped...The heat. We had left the Earth's thermosphere and entered the exosphere(These are the last two layers of the atmosphere. The thermosphere is the hottest and second last layer, and the exosphere is the last. The exosphere is where satellites orbit.).

"Everest has lifted. We are on course."

"Everest, this is Zeus at the Mission Control Base. Good job lifting. Shifting course...Now."

Brumm. I felt the shuttle turn a few degrees to my left. No, my right. No...wait. Nevermind, it moved a few degrees in one of those two directions.

KUTTTTTTT...What was that? The noise. BEEP. BEEP. A really loud beeping sound played. All of us looked at each other in fright. Something was wrong... And it wasn't going to end well.
