Inside his mind, Kurama woke up and looked around. He found himself in a strange plae. He saw wide ocean in front of him that stretches to the beyond. When he looked to his east, he saw a tall mountain whose peak can't be seen standing strong. To his west, he saw a forest full of trees and vegetation. Lastly, when he looked towards his back, he saw a volcano spurting out huge amounts of lava.

Kurama was confused as to why he suddenly found himself in here. He stood up and looked around curiously, he didn't know where he was so he tried to shout, "Hello?! Is anybody here?!"

Kurama waited for a while when he saw the ocean stirring up waves, the rustling of the forest, the clouds of the mountain parting up, and heard the rumbling sounds of the volcano. He was scared when he saw those phenomenons appearing and thought that he shoudn't have shouted. He also thought that he was in a beast's lair or something.

Kurama just blinked his eyes and an instant later, he saw 4 gigantic beasts surrouding him. He was dumbfounded, scared and terrified as he looked at the azure dragon, red phoenix, white tiger and black turtle. He was trembling at the thought of dying in a strange place like this. He still wanted to spend time with his twin sister.

The place was silent for a moment when the dragon suddenly spoke in a mighty and powerful voice, "So, this is our master huh?"

The phoenix nodded her head and said in a gentle and noble tone, "Seems like it brother Seiryuu"

The white tiger chuckled with her sultry and sexy voice, "Fufu~ Our master is a very handsome boy isn't he brother Genbu?"

The black turtle just hummed with his calm and sagely voice just like a wise old man who have lived for uncountable number of years, "Hmm, I like this child."

Kurama was silent as he listened to their conversation. He had no idea what they were talking about. 'What do they mean master? Is it me, am I their master?' Following this train of thought, Kurama was pretty excited and scared at the same time. He was excited about the prospects of having them as his companions and scared about whether or not he's assumptions were wrong.

He turned towards the white tiger and asked in a trembling voice, "A-am I your ma-master that you are ta-talking about white tiger-san?"

"Oho~ Yes, you are our master. Our cute and handsome young master. And you don't have to be afraid either because we will not harm our little master." The white tiger smiled showing her sharp fangs to Kurama.

"Really, white tiger-san?" Kurama's eyes shined brightly after hearing the confirmation.

"Kukuku~ don't call me white tiger, young master. I have a name you know, its Byakko." Byakko said as she neared Kurama seductively. She rubbed her head at Kurama affectionately which prompted him to stroke and pet her head as she enjoys his petting.

The white tiger 'Byakko' can be summarized in two words, 'natural seductress'. Her fur is as white as snow with the stripes as black as an onyx, her mesmerizing blue eyes staring at Kurama squinted slightly and a piercing can be seen on her right ear. On her forehead sits the 王 king mark, obviously making her known as the king of the forest.

"That's enough sister Byakko. We still need to introduce ourselves." A noble and gentle voice drifted over as Byakko looked her fellow sister and chuckled. She then lifted her head as she headed back to her position.

Kurama turned his head towards the voice. He saw a phoenix with fiery red-orange feathers, hawk-like beak, noble golden eyes and a fan-like feathered tail if spread out. She emenates the aura of nobleness and pride. The phoenix was looking at him intently as she said, "Master, let us introduce ourselves first. My name is Suzaku and I am the Divine Phoenix. You can call me Suzaku, master... or onee-chan." The last part was muttered in a low voice as the phoenix bowed her head bashfully.

Kurama widened his eyes as he didn't expect Suzaku to have this side of her. He thought she was a serious, gentle and noble one. He never expected her to say something like that.

"Kuhahaha! Don't mind our sister, kid. Even though she always has this noble temperament of her's, she has always someone to call her onee-chan. Well, I'm Seiryuu by the way." Seiryuu, the azure dragon laughed at her sister's antics and conveniently intrduced himself.

Seiryuu looks just like Great Red but with azure colored scales and 2 horns on top of his head. His eyes glowing with golden light and the webbings on his wings are colored black.

Kurama looked at Seiryuu with amazement and awe. It was his first time seeing a dragon, and as he look at him, Kurama couldn't help but stare at his mighty and dashing figure.

"What, you stunned at my great looks, kid?" Though he really looks nice, Kurama coudn't help but think that he's a little narcissist.

"Sigh~ Don't mind him, child. He just feels excited after talking with someone new. After all, we are all we have for millions of years. We were born together inside this gear, and except for that God in the bible you people call and that kilin, you are the only one we have talked to so far. Also, My name is Genbu, child." The black tortoise said as he introduced himself.

Genbu felt like a grandpa who always indulges you in everything you want. His matt black scale-patterned shell is being coiled around by a hissing snake. The snake seems to have no consciousness or maybe, the snake and Genbu have the same mind and is connected to each other. Genbu has this calming and comfortable aura on him that makes Kurama want to just sleep and relax.

Kurama's impression on Genbu was that of a kind and wise grandpa. His impression on Seiryuu was that of a cool and mighty but narcisstic dragon. Suzaku's was that of a noble and caring older sister. Byakko's would be that of a playful and trusted confidante.

Having heard Genbu's words, Kurama asked, "Gear? The God in the Bible? Was he your previous master? And who is that kilin you are talking about, grandp- I mean Genbu-san?" Because of the impression he got from Genbu, he unconsiously called him grandpa.

"Hoho~ It's okay to call me grandpa child, in fact I would like you to call me that hahaha!" Genbu seemed happy with Kurama calling him grandpa.

Kurama just nodded as he heard Seiryuu snort after hearing the question. "Hmph! That God in the Bible you people call is not worthy of being our master. And yes we are a gear. You can call us the Primal Gear as we are the prime gear of all gears or Divine Gear for something grandiose hahaha!"

"Primal Gear, Divine Gear? But, there's no such thing. There's only the sacred gear that the God made. And what do you mean not worthy of being the master? This is so confusing." Kurama clutched his head in confusion as he can't understand what Seiryuu was talking about.

"Hmph! Just listen kid, I'll tell you our story." Seiryuu snorted as he started narrating.

The Primal Gear was born together with the universe. They were laying dormat for millions of years until that God found them in some place. The God tried to make them submit but they refused, saying that he was unworthy. The God became enraged as he captured and sealed them. They can't overpower the God as they didn't have a master yet, so they can't unleash their full power. The God kept on trying to make them submit for hundreds of years but they still refused.

The God then gave up and started studying them. After thousands of years of studying and experimenting, his research finally bore fruit and came the birth of the Sacred Gears. He was cruel enough to experiment on his own son and put him in the human world. He let people torture his son, giving him false hope and was then crucified. He dropped his first ever sacred gear to a man to stab it on his son's heart. There gave birth to the first Longinus.

He then made many more sacred gears and while he was busy, he didn't notice that the gear was almost out of his seal. As the seal futher loosened, they escaped and snatched 5 of his best made sacred gears. But that escape took out all of their energy and had to sleep for a thousand years. So they tried to find a place to hibernate, but before laying dormant, Seiryuu materialized himself and made the dragons. After that, they schemed, conspired and layed plans against the God that imprisoned them. After having done all that, they finally succumbed to the exhaustion of pushing themselves and hibernated.

"...After we woke up, our instincts flared up. It was telling us that a worthy master was born, so we roamed the Heaven, Earth, Hell, Asgard and more until we came to the underworld and found you. We also found out that our plans bore fruit and the God in the Bible died after the great war. After integrating ourselves to you, we saw that you had a twin, so we gifted her one of the original and undamaged sacred gear that we stole from that God. We then took our rest for a few years and finally woke up today." Seiryuu finished his narration.

Kurama was stunned, petrified, dazed, shocked and stupefied after hearing and learning all that history. He then woke up out of his state and asked, "But doesn't sacred gears burn us devils?"

"No, it won't. You can't put attributes on sacred gears except for those who have creatures inside them and is not compatible with the user." Seiryuu denied.

Kurama sighed a sigh of relief after hearing that as he didn't want Rias to get hurt.

Suzaku tilted her head up and said, "Master, looks like you need to wake up now as you have already slept long enough."

Byakko stood up and rubbed her head towards Kurama and said, "Remember not to tell anyone about us, young master, or trouble will be coming. Don't worry we can still communicate with each other now that we are awake."

Genbu just nodded and Seiryuu said, "See ya kid! You can enter here anytime and we can train you to the best of our abilites."

Kurama had a happy smile on his face after hearing what Byakko and Seiryuu said.

"Goodbye for now, Seiryuu, Byakko, Suzaku and Genbu-jii!" Kurama waved his hand as Suzaku expelled him from the gear.

"Kurama wake up!" Ito shouted, trying to wake Kurama up.

Kurama then opened his eyes with a newfound confident expression on his face.
