4 Birthday
1 month later, April 8th...
The evening before the day of both Rias and Kurama's birthday, the Gremory residence was now ready and fully decorated for tomorrow's party.
Inside Zeoticus' study room where there were piles of papers and documents scattered all around, both husband and wife can be seen together discussing about tomorrow's occassion.
"So what clans are gonna be coming for tomorrow's party?" asked Venelana while flipping through the papers of tomorrow's celebration.
"There will be 12 clans coming over namely the Bael, Agares, Sitri, Phenex, Glasya-Labolas, Furcas, Belial, Andrealphus, Vassago, Barbatos, Astaroth and Forneus." Zeoticus answered while also flipping through the reports for the twins' birthday.
"Tomorrow, troublesome matters will start appearing one after another like marriages and the like." added Zeoticus.
Venelana just nodded with an 'Un' but then smiled as she just remembered something interesting and said "Oh by the way, have you seen how the twins are working so hard on correcting their speaking habits?"
"Hohoho." Zeoticus laughed and said "Yes, I have seen them. Especially Kura who is working so hard to pronoune the letter 'R'. I can hear him several times a day saying 'gwww' until it became 'gyyy' and then a soft 'grrrrrr'.
"Fufufu~ Rias is also trying to correct the way she speaks by not speaking anything in a third-person perspective anymore. I can even hear her practicing in her room with Kurama saying things like 'I am Ricchan' or 'I am Rias'. I also heard her saying 'I love Kuu-chan', 'I love Mama' or 'I love Papa'." Venelana spoke with amusement as she also shared what she heard from the twins.
"Hahaha! Did she really say 'I love Papa'?" asked Zeoticus as he laughed joyfully.
"Mm!" Venelana nodded with a smile as she said "There were even times where I heard- Oh? Speak of the Devil, they're here fufufu."
The both of them looked towards the door and...
*BAM!*
The door towards the study room was slammed open which was done by Kurama and Rias with both their faces glowing in excitement. The both of them directly dashed straight to the room while speaking with excitement.
"Mama, Papa..."
"Mama I can alread..."
"...Listen Papa, I can now..."
"... and then I..."
Both Rias and Kurama were speaking at the same time causing a small ruckus. They can't wait to tell their parents about their achievement by working hard in the past month.
Venelana hushed them and said "Okay, okay, one at a time now please."
Both the twins nodded as they waited for further instructions from their mother.
"Okay Rias, you go first." Venelana said as she looked at Rias.
"Yes Mama! Listen, listen, I don't say 'Ricchan' anymore. I can now speak properly. See?" Rias excitedly boasted her achievements to her parents.
Venelana smiled as she patted Rias' head and praised "Good job Rias! As expected of my daughter! Mama and Papa is very proud of you."
"Ehehe~" Rias laughed embarassedly after being praised.
Venelana then turned to Kurama and smilingly said "Now, it's your turn Kurama."
"Okaaay! Mama, Papa, listen to this..." Kurama took a deep breath and then let out a 'grrrrr' sound. Kurama then grinned and laughed out loud after succesfully pulling it off "Hahaha! I did it! I did it! Did you hear that Mama, Papa?"
Venelana smiled happily and patted Kurama's head while saying "You did a great job pulling that off Kurama. Look's like my little boy is a big boy now."
"Hahaha that's right! I'm a big boy now!" Kurama laughed smugly as he puffed his chest out.
Rias then jumped and hugged Kurama while laughing and said "We did it Kuu-chan!"
"That's wight- I mean that's right! We wea-really did it! Hahaha!" Kurama replied while his tongue almost slipped.
The four of them kept on chatting for half an hour until it was time for the twins to take their bath and then prepare to go to bed.
The twins said their goodbyes to their parents and walked out of the study room. Both Venelana and Zeoticus watched their backs until they were out of sight. Venelana's expression then turned from gentleness to worry a few seconds later.
"Husband, I'm just so worried for Kurama tomorrow. What if he gets bullied just because they don't know of his true powers?" Venelana asked Zeoticus with a worried expression on her face.
Zeoticus wrinkled his brows to think for a second and said "It's gonna be okay. It's fine this way so that he can judge people better in the future. We just need to take better care of him and also let Ria be with him all the time."
Venelana nodded and said "That's right, Rias is like the spiritual pillar of his life. Because if even Rias who is like his other half will be gone from him, I don't think Kurama can handle the devastation and despair he will feel."
Zeoticus just nodded and sighed as he started to think of plans to help Kurama.
-The next day-
The twins officially entered their 4th birthday. The quickly got up and greeted each other.
"Happy birthday Ricchan!"
"Happy birthday Kuu-chan!"
They laughed and smiled at each other before dressing up and then got out of their room to go to their parents. They were also greeted by the maids and servants who met them along the way. They soon reached their parent's room and opened the door. They quickly hopped on their parents' bed waking them up and then greeting the twins a happy birthday.
The twins spent their time roaming around the house being greeted by the maids and servants. They spent the rest of the day killing time and relaxing until it was time for them to get ready for the party and went towards their own separate rooms.
While the twins were in separate rooms being prepared by the maids and servants for the party later, Zeoticus and Venelana entered Rias' room. Venelana gestured to the maids to leave them for a while and went over to Rias.
Rias looked at them puzzledly and asked "Why are you here Mama, Papa?"
"Your mother has something to tell you Ria" said Zeoticus who looked at his own daughter warmly.
Venelana then held Rias' hand and said "Rias, you still want to protect Kurama right?"
"Un! I will protect Kuu-chan forever and ever!"
"That's good, never let your brother be lonely okay?" said Venelana while Rias just nodded her head.
Meanwhile on Kurama's side, Sirzechs entered the room sneakily and saw Kurama bring groomed by the maids for the party later. He was still found out by Kurama despite trying hard to surprise him.
"Aah! It's Seks nii-sama!" shouted Kurama while pointing at Sirzechs.
"Sigh~ I thought I could have surprised you a little you cheeky little brat." sighed Sirzechs for having been found out.
"That's right, nii-sama did you come home today just to attend at our birthday?" Asked Kurama expectantly.
"Yes of course!" Replied Sirzechs but then remembered the reason why he came to his room.
"Oh right! Kurama, you have to be a good boy today okay? You can't fight with the other children attending your birthday."
"Huh? Uh... okay?" Kurama answered doubtfully as he didn't understand what Sirzechs meant.
Sirzechs just smiled at him and said "Just be a good boy today alright?"
Kurama just nodded and then stayed quiet.
A few hour passed, it was now time for the twins to show up. The hall where the party would be held is now full of people from the other Devil Clans.
Zeoticus looked at his watch and saw that it was already time so he stood up and went to the slightly elvated platform at the front and said...
"Now that everyone is here, please welcome today's main celebrants Kurama and Rias!"
Then all eyes trained towards the staircase leading to the second floor.
Both the twins can be seen wearing crimson-red clothing that highlighted their hair color.
Kurama was wearing crimson-red colored suit with matching pants, black undershirt, black shoes and a black bowtie. His hair was loosely braided with a pony tail end. His handsome and cute looking face was further amplified with clothing he wore.
Rias was wearing a strapped knee length crimson-red cocktail dress with a stylish design paired with black short heels. Her face was lighly powdered with cherry colored lips. Her beautiful countenance was stunning for the children atrending the party.
Rias hooked her arms with Kurama as they started walking down the stairs. They soon reached the platform where their father was standing at.
Zeoticus then handed them the platform while announcing "Happy birthday to my beautiful and handsome twins!"
"Happy birthday!"
"Happy birthday Rias!"
"Happy birthday Kurama!"
Everybody in the hall clapped their hands and greeted the two of them a happy birthday.
The banquet then started after. The adults formed their own circle while the children surrounded both Rias and Kurama. Well, mostly Rias because she was the heiress of the clan. The only people that went to Kurama were Sairaorg Bael and Diehauser Belial.
Sairaorg went to Kurama as he can feel that they were the same, he can feel the gazes of disdain directed towards Kurama. Diehauser only went to Kurama because as the oldest one in the group, he had to be sensible and not fight with the others.
"Happy birthday Kurama. My name is Sairaorg Bael, I'm also your cousin." Sairaorg introduced himself as he greeted Kurama.
"Oh, thank you Sairaorg!" Kurama smiled as he thanked Sairaorg.
"Helloo! My name's Diehauser Belial, Kurama-kun" Diehauser also introduced himself after Sairaorg.
"Oh hello Diehauser-san" Kurama greeted back.
The three of them continued talking to each other. Meanwhile, Rias, Sona Sitri and Seekvaira Agares immedietly became friends. She directly ignored the boys surrounding her.
Rias' group of three immediately went over to where Kurama was. She introduced both Sona and Seekvaira as Sona-chan and Seek-chan.
Kurama reciprocated by introducing Sairaorg as their cousin and Diehauser as the eldest.
While those who were ignored became indignant, especially Riser and Eneely Vassago.
Eneely Vassago was the only girl that Rias didn't make friends with. Her condescending attitude gave Rias a bad impression of her. While Riser was super arrogant while talking to her. Sectaas Barbatos was the silent type and Rias didn't really have any impression of him except that he was tall. Rias never talked to Diodoras Astaroth because everytime she looked at his smiling face, she felt a creepy chill climb up her spine. Rias was afraid of Graag Forneus because of his face that looks like an anglerfish. Zephyrdor was just eating non-stop, disdaining to interact with the others while Coriana Andrealphus and Bafeel Furcas just talked with each other. Magdaran Bael was the only one who was following his father Lord Bael.
The groups among the children were clear, it was Kurama, Rias, Sairaorg, Sona, Seekvaira and Diehauser. The other group was Riser, Diodora and Eneely and Graag.
While the children were busy chatting with each other, Zeoticus was greeted by Lord Phenex.
"Lord Gremory, Lady Gremory."
"Lord Phenex. Lady Phenex." Zeoticus and Venelana stood up and reciprocated the greeting.
Lord Phenex has a very polite personality and is very humble. He was also known as a wise father by the other Devils.
Lord Phenex then sat next Zeoticus. He smiled at him then the both of them had small talks with each other. They went on how each other's life was going, then to their children up to marriage.
Lord Phenex then suddenly asked Zeoticus which greatly startled him.
"So, does Rias have a fiance as of yet?
