8 Chapter 8: Skills for future needs!

I immediately felt a drain on my mana after the skill activated, and I also felt a temporary boost to my strength. Despite this, I kept my composure and grabbed Matsuda's wrist, forcing him to let go of me so that I could escape his grasp.

I could tell that he was taken aback by my unexpected power because he promptly let go of my shirt and began cradling his wrist, which appeared to be somewhat wounded. Before turning my attention to him, I rearranged my upper garments and then stared at him.

"To begin, I demand that you never again touch me in that manner. Second of all, I don't see myself talking to either of you ever again if you don't understand why I am willing to give up something I enjoy for the sake of my mother. If you don't understand why, I won't speak to either of you ever again. After school today, I shall bring all of my belongings to your place," As I had stated previously, I scowled at them once more before turning my attention back to the scene outside the window.

I was aware that they were still looking at me for a few more seconds after that before they turned away and went back to their seats, most likely still in amazement.

I could sense that my reputation with them was deteriorating, whilst my reputation with the other students in the class, particularly the girls, was constantly improving, and in my opinion, the trade-off was more than justified.

After some time had passed since the foolish altercation, our instructor came in, and he immediately started giving us the introductory speech for the year.

I put him off by explaining that I had already been through this and that I could still remember more than ninety five percent of the information that I was taught in school, which means that anything they talked about will not help boost my INT score.

Instead, I started pondering how I could go about recreating some of the most helpful abilities I've seen in manga, anime, and videogames. This led me to some interesting conclusions.

If the ability 'Reinforcement' was any indication, then with this game ability of mine, anything was practically feasible so long as I had a solid understanding of what it was that I wanted.

Nobody in the class appeared to notice the smirk of amusement that was playing across my face.

------

To put that into perspective, lunch rolled around relatively quickly, and at the moment I am enjoying my lunch of drink and chips while sitting in the shade cast by a tree in the school yard.

I devoted the entirety of the morning to contemplating the skills I needed to hone in order to mature physically and mentally, as well as lay the groundwork for when things really start to blow their tops in a couple of months from now.

Since I had previously crafted the abilities to Observe, Lie, Detect Bloodlust, and Reinforce, as well as learnt Mana Manipulation from a skill book that I had obtained this morning, I was prepared to begin building talents.

I needed attack skills that used mana, so I decided to model them after those employed by Han Jee-Han, but I would add my own spin to them.

I would make something that was more similar to the Rasengan from the Naruto series than the Spinning Mana Sphere that he had made.

It was a close-range technique that was too powerful for me to ignore, and the coolness factor of how the technique would look was an added benefit.

For the mid-range, I will investigate the possibility of fashioning a mana-based attack similar to a shotgun that can hit targets that are at least five metres distant from me.

Because I was unable to think of anything more effective at the time, I made the executive decision to use Spinning Mana Arrows for my long-range attacks.

In terms of defensive strategies, I will attempt to reproduce the Hierro technique from Bleach, which was utilised by the hollows and Arrancar, in conjunction with the layered Mana Shield that Han Jee-Han devised.

My goal was to make a significant improvement to both the size of my mana pool and the rate at which it regenerated, so that I would be able to keep both of those approaches active without having to put in too much mental effort.

Because of this, I will never be taken by surprise because an unexpected attack would have to first breach the outer barriers that surround me and then penetrate my skin, which should be as tough as a diamond, if I do my job well.

I needed a technique that would actively increase my speed and one that would enable me make weapons out of mana if I wanted it to count as a supportive technique.

My body's capacities were enhanced as a result of reinforcement, but I needed something more direct. I made the decision to draw motivation from Bleach and the tactics they use in Hoho.

Because the sound it created was so similar to the sound a jet makes when it breaks the sound barrier, I had high hopes that I would be able to duplicate Sonido rather than Flash Step. It will contribute to an increased sense of intimidation and coolness.

I also came to the conclusion that I required a large number of passive and active/passive skills that provided me with passive enhancements.

My base mana pool and intelligence both rose by ten percent thanks to the usage of mana manipulation, which was a perfect example of what I intended.

If I was able to rack up a large number of passive boosts, I would be able to become extremely powerful at a relatively low level, which would make it easier for me to surprise the majority of my adversaries.

Just a few minutes ago, I made the choice to proceed in that direction, and shortly thereafter, my gamer ability rewarded me with two WIS points since it thought the choice I made was a good one.

After school let out, I would head home to collect the items I would give to Matsuda and Motohama before heading to the largest park in the city to create the skills and maybe grind them a little if I had enough time.

After that, I would go to the park to create the skills and give them to Matsuda and Motohama. When I thought about time, I was reminded of the talent ID: Create, and I added that ability to my list of "Must Create" skills along with ID: Escape.

Following the construction of my foundations, I would repeatedly use that ability to grind both my own strength and the strength of my skills in order to become stronger on a daily basis.

And once I've reached the stage where I can make Instant Dungeons with a time distortion, then my life will become significantly simpler.

It was also necessary for me to communicate with Ddraig. I have no doubt that if I unlocked the Boosted Gear, not only would I receive a passive enhancement to my talents, but I would also be able to negotiate a deal with him.

I was reminded of how Issei bartered away his human arm in exchange for the power to defeat Raiser and prevent Rias from getting married. In exchange, Issei received a dragon arm.

That got me pondering on the opportunities, and although I was excited about it, I won't get ahead of myself just yet and say that I saw it coming.

First and foremost, skills, then any potential Dragon Slayer Magic that may follow.

"Ah! Issei Hyoudou. You can now proceed."
