Xenovia furrowed her brows, unfamiliar with the term 'convention' as if it was from another world.

Irina's eyes widened as she teased Issei, "You go to those kinds of events? Are you into cosplay girls or something?"

Issei's face flushed with embarrassment, shaking his head vigorously. "No, absolutely not! Let's just focus on finding this Freed guy and not dig into my personal life," he hastily redirected the conversation, eager to move on. He took the lead, and Xenovia and Irina followed closely behind him.

As they progressed, Issei honed his senses, closing his eyes and focusing on detecting any sign of a holy sword. After a while, he finally caught a faint scent, indicating the presence of one nearby. Determined, he followed the trail, leading them to a large warehouse situated near the apartment complexes.

During their journey, Xenovia and Irina remained relatively quiet, observing Issei's focused demeanor. However, their curiosity got the best of them as Issei abruptly stopped.

"Do you actually know where you're going?" Irina playfully asked, a light laugh escaping her lips.

Issei paused for a moment, contemplating his response. "Well, I... have a general idea," he replied, a hint of uncertainty in his voice.

Issei's eyes widened as he sensed the presence of another holy sword inside the warehouse. Without hesitation, he swiftly kicked the door open, sending it flying off its hinges and into the darkness beyond. His vision adjusted effortlessly to the dim surroundings, revealing a chilling sight—a man standing amidst a multitude of lifeless bodies, all of them church members.

The man's expression turned from alarm to twisted delight upon seeing Issei and the two girls accompanying him. His voice reverberated with a manic edge as he taunted them, "Well, well, what do we have here? More devils? No, no, no, no! Church Exorcists, hahaha!"

In an instant, the man drew his sword, radiating a golden glow. "Come now, girls! Face my Excalibur Rapidly!" he declared, his voice laced with madness.

Irina and Xenovia responded swiftly, unsheathing their own blades and preparing for battle. However, before they could fully comprehend the situation, Issei had already closed the distance, his determination unwavering.

Freed swung his weapon frantically, but his surprise was evident as Issei effortlessly caught the blade with his hand. The dragon within Issei glared at Freed with annoyance, his voice tinged with impatience, "I don't have time for this annoying shit, you spaz…"

With a powerful grip, Issei squeezed the sword, causing it to snap in half. Freed stumbled backward, horror etched across his face, while Issei's body began to emanate a pulsating red aura.

"W-what are you?! How did you break my Excalibur?!" Freed demanded, his voice laced with hysteria.

Issei paid little attention to the question, two magnificent dragon wings unfurling from his back. His voice resonated with an undeniable authority as he pressed on, "What is Kokabiel planning?"

Freed's fear became palpable as he realized the true nature of Issei's power. "D-dragon wings?!" he stammered, barely able to comprehend the situation unfolding before him.

Without wasting a moment, Issei barked another question, his voice laced with urgency, "Answer the fucking question! Where is the girl?"

Freed trembled, attempting to feign ignorance. "W-w-what girl?!" he stammered, his fear seeping through his words.

"Don't play stupid with me! Asia Argento—the girl with Twilight Healing," Issei responded, his voice filled with determination.

"T-the devils took her!" Freed admitted, his fear overriding any desire to withhold information.

"I have what I need," Issei responded calmly, his eyes locked on Freed Sellzen. With a deep breath, he exhaled a torrent of fire, engulfing the man and reducing him to ashes. The room echoed with the sound of his agonized screams before descending into an eerie silence.

Irina and Xenovia, still positioned near the entrance, could only stare at Issei in utter disbelief. They watched in awe as he turned Freed into nothing more than a pile of charred remains. Moments later, Issei collected the halves of the holy sword that once belonged to Freed and approached the girls.

He handed them to Irina, his voice steady, "There, take it."

Irina struggled to find words, her voice faltering as she tried to articulate her thoughts. "Issei...you just..." she trailed off, unable to find the appropriate response.

"I'm not getting tangled up in this pointless conflict. I've helped you out, and you can stay at my house for a while, but if you're planning on taking on a fallen angel leader, you're on your own. If you're lucky, that Azazel guy will take care of it for you," Issei explained, his wings retracting as he made his way back to his motorcycle.

Irina and Xenovia followed him in stunned silence, still grappling with the astonishing display of Issei snapping a holy sword in half with his bare hands.

As they walked back, Xenovia broke the silence. "Those fallen angels were right...you're far stronger than any of us. If that's the case, why don't you do something about the issues around here, Issei Hyoudou?"

"Just call me Issei, alright? Irina does, so it doesn't matter if you do too," Issei responded to the bluenette.

"Why did you kill that man, Issei?" Irina spoke up, her voice filled with concern.

"He was a nuisance...and besides, didn't you mention you were here to eliminate rogue church members? I got the information we needed from him, and I tied up a loose end to prevent him from reporting back to Kokabiel," Issei nonchalantly explained.

Irina's brow furrowed in disagreement. "Yes, but...it just didn't seem like you."

"You don't know anything about me, Irina," Issei retorted firmly.

"Maybe not anymore. I don't fully understand how you became a dragon, but if you don't want to share, that's fine. However, I would like to be friends with you again if you'll allow it," Irina said, her voice trailing off with a tinge of sadness.

"We're still friends, but I'd appreciate it if you could keep this drama away from me. I'm just trying to finish high school without getting caught up in unnecessary trouble," Issei sighed, a touch of weariness in his voice.

"I understand...in that case, we can put our mission on hold until Azazel takes care of Kokabiel. We didn't intend to burden you with our problems, Issei," Xenovia apologized, her tone reflecting sincerity.

Issei let out another sigh, his voice filled with a sense of understanding. "It's alright. I can see that both of you have good intentions, and you're not as politically driven as the angels and devils tend to be."
